Experiencia fantástica: I agree with what the other reviewers have said about Terry. I admit I am a reluctant participant in dealing with physical therapy. Terry patiently but firmly explains why following her protocol is an essential part of the healing process. I follow all of her instructions and it is paying off. Her one on one sessions are far superior to any other physical therapy centers where I was one of many in the room. I will recommend her to anyone I know who needs physical therapy. In addition to her expertise she is a kind and caring person. I could't be happier that I found her.

She then went over a therapeutic regimen by demonstrating it and then asking me to repeat the procedures while she was looking on. She was very patient and personable during the entire encounter. Experiencia fantástica: I have been a physical therapist for over 25 years. I know what to look for in a provider. I could easily have gone to any clinic, but I did not want to be one of several patients seen in an hour. I was looking for a skilled PT who could take the time to listen to my concerns, synthesize my examination findings, and put together a personalized treatment plan to address my pain and limitations with lots of one-to-one time. I am so grateful that I found Terry! My pain has improved and I feel so good after our sessions. Experiencia fantástica: Sadly I have years of physical therapy under my belt and finding Terry was nothing short of a miracle. A professional with two decades of experience, Terry works with patients in a fully equipped studio where you work alone, one on one with the therapist. None of that nonsense where a week in you’re not sure if doing the exercises correctly! Or remaining stuck with exercises that are too easy. She provided great insight to help determine the origin of my symptoms and worked with me to help alleviate them. She was a great listener and excellent at communication. She clearly communicated the treatment plan and helped me set up short, mid and long term goals, so the therapy sessions had a sense of direction. Her attention to detail was incredible. She educated me about my particular ailment and taught me techniques to self-manage symptoms at home, which was empowering. I progressed nicely through our sessions. Overall, it was an absolute pleasure to work with her and I give her my highest recommendation.

After a surprisingly short course of therapy with Terry Hwang, I have returned to online exercise classes daily. Experiencia fantástica: If I could award more than 5 stars to Terry, I would. She is smart, highly skilled and compassionate. When my arm was burning, I went to see Terry; she knew the problem originated with nerves in my neck. She treated me for several weeks, eliminating the pain, and also prescribed exercises for me to do at home. She made sure I was doing the exercises correctly. I recommended Terry to a friend who was suffering from severe back pain. She was extremely helpful in getting him to be pain free, again prescribing at home exercises to maintain his status. I will add that, unlike other PT facilities, where a therapist treats more than one patient at the same time, Terry gives her patients her full attention for the full hour. Her studios immaculate and lovely.

Experiencia fantástica: Terry got me "back up and running" much quicker than the surgeon who operated on my foot had predicted. She explained everything she was doing, both anatomically and physiologically, which I really appreciated. She was always on time, super pleasant and always professional. I'm an active person with a job and kids and I appreciated the time she took during my visits to maximize speeding up my recovery. The only negative thing I can say is that I'm kind of bummed I no longer need PT with Terry as I actually enjoyed going!

Experiencia fantástica: Terry is truly an expert in understanding my pain and helping me recover to a place where I can manage it. My awful neck and shoulder pain is always markedly diminished after each session with Terry. She is extremely professional and takes her time with each treatment, always considering my individual needs and discussing a plan. Terry has instructed me on manageable exercises to do at home, has given me little tips, and helped me select appropriate "tools" to make the exercises more beneficial. She has also helped me select the right ergonomic desk chair that is just the right fit for me and my budget. Terry is very knowledgeable and very caring.

Experiencia fantástica: I can't thank Terry enough for all of her help. Her sessions were extremely effective and motivating. Clearly, she knows what she's doing and she's super friendly. I had severe mobility issues due to a pinched nerve (walking and lying down were issues). Within a couple of months Terry managed to eliminate most of the pain through a combination of exercises that she guided me through, electrostimulation and stretching. It's been nearly five years and I'm still enjoying an unrestricted, active lifestyle (going to the gym, swimming, SUP and surfing).

Experiencia fantástica: Quality PT from someone who cares! One of my friends was referred to Terry from her surgeon (they had a list of PT places, but she was specifically told to go to Terry). When I met Terry, I immediately saw why both doctors and my friend recommended her. I have been around a lot of PT and had never had such a thorough examination. What was most notable was how much Terry explained to me- something I had not experienced before. Not only was she very upfront about how bad my issue was, she gave me a really great understanding of what was going on, how I had gotten there, and what we would be doing to fix it. I’m not the best with keeping up with my exercises, but I started to understand that we would get through the process much faster when I was good about them. Terry was firm but sensitive to what I was going through. And she made me understand that this was a team effort and I was not going to get better unless I put in my fair share. I have never had someone put so much thought and care into my understanding and participation. And it absolutely made a difference! I had thought that my back issues would just keep coming back because I’m getting older. Terry helped me understand how to manage things on my own. She also has great hands, so I will still see her occasionally when I need more help (also because she’s just fun to talk to!). But between the work she has done on me and with me, I no longer feel like I have to live with back pain forever if I take care of myself. Experiencia fantástica: I've had a hard time finding a certified lymphedema therapist in my area of Westchester, so when I found Recoup PT in Dobbs Ferry, I was thrilled. I found Terry through my breast surgeon, who referred me to get treatment after he diagnosed me with lymphedema. Terry made an extremely uncomfortable situation, manageable and eventually my time at PT, enjoyable. She taught me how to care for my arm, how to manage the symptoms and most importantly, got the swelling way, way down. She also fitted me for compression garments that help me overnight. There has been a long learning curve, but with Terry's help it has been worth it. She has really given me back "quality" of life and I will be returning to her, periodically, for check-ins. Whether it is for physical therapy or lymphedema therapy, you will get excellent, professional care at Recoup PT.

A friend recommended Terry and after a month of 2x/week sessions with her my back pain is completely gone. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Experiencia fantástica: Recoup PT has been amazing for me. Terry Hwang rescued me from severe pain in my back, shoulder and wrist. Her approach is different from typical PT places. One Therapist, One Patient, One Hour. She is excellent at pin pointing the issues and provided the right balance of therapy and home work out. I recommend Terry at Recoup, PT highly. She has a beautiful space in Dobbs Ferry and also works out of Edgemont PT on Central in Scarsdale. ReCoup got me back to work as a phtographer and back to life in general!
