Experiencia positiva: The nurses get a 5 star rating but the management gets a 1. The nurses were awesome, but the management and their rules dealing with Hospice patients with Covid was horrid. Think twice if you are on Hospice and your using them for Respite Care. Find out their policy if your loved one gets Covid while they are there.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a resident for several years now. This place has been a godsend. If I had to place a family member in a facility for care this would be the first place I would turn. Great staff and excellent care. This place is a home more than a hospital.

Experiencia fantástica: Kind, compassionate staff. Hard working nurses and genuinely caring administration. PT is out of this world. I have worked in health care for many years and have never worked with such conscientious staff before. No one ever wants or plans to need skilled nursing care, but if it was to happen to my own family or myself, I would not hesitate to recommend this facility.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff is kind and helpful. The Activities Director is cheerful and works well with residents and visitors. I am a volunteer and say the rosary with Catholics every Monday.

Experiencia positiva: I have worked around healthcare facilities for a while now. Over the years I have seen some amazing teams brought down by a few careless people. Some have been honest mistakes, some not. This doesn't help when your parents are the ones suffering. I am a short timer and am passing through. This building has some amazing, compassionate people. From housekeeping to nursing staff, everyone has made me feel welcome. More importantly, they have made your family member feel loved. I have seen family of residents grieving, lashing out, taking out their pain on staff members. It's hard to watch. But it's part of the job. It's not always easy for us seeing our parents this way. We become super critical. It's our parent after all. We want to protect them. I've read these bad reviews and they sound awful. But they don't give the other side of the story. HIPAA privacy rules don't allow healthcare facilities to discuss these cases. They can't defend themselves, but they can continue to improve. I've seen improvements in management, in staff, in training, in support. This team continues to grow, to improve, to care. I'm leaving Alaska for my next adventure. I'm leaving behind my new Alaska family. I'm going to miss them. Anchorage Prestige Healthcare, you guys are awesome! You too Marty.
