Experiencia fantástica: If you have to go to PT every week for a year, then let me tell you, you better like the people you go to! Alaska Physical Therapy Specialists has the best holistic approach to help you overcome whatever's bothering you, and they are extra supportive, knowing you might be in a weird mood if you cant be walking for months. They have a couple therapists, and I like them all, but I always enjoy advice and even tiny tweaks that Jeff comes up with. Scheduling is always easy, they are very flexible, and have a great text reminder system, so you wont miss your appointments. If you cant make it in person, the online appts are also possible. Location is great, parking is always easy, and even during winter it was never a problem to find a good, easily accessible spot to park my car and hobble over into the building. They are great with covid policies and its one of the places that I know is clean, virus and bacteria free, and people actually wash their hands. Now onto treatments - the amount of different approaches they offer is great, but the best thing is that they know what they're doing, know what your goals are, and will make sure you are comfortable with your program. All therapists are nice, knowledgeable, and into sports so they will do everything to get you out there again as quick and comfortable as possible. I strongly recommend, especially if you're looking for people who look at the big picture and not just one broken bone. P.S. if you can, in winter schedule appts around sunrise - one of the best views over the mountains in town. Defo will brighten your mood to see all the mountains all pink.

Experiencia fantástica: I spent a lot of time with this group and have nothing but praises for the whole group. Tearing my ACL/MCL/meniscus was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life and everyone at Alaska Physical Therapy Specialists made me feel at ease. Iva at the front desk is fabulous! She always welcomed me in the a smile and cheerful greeting. It really made me feel like family. I worked with both Jeff and Shauna and they were great to work with. They were so knowledgeable about what was going on with my knee before and after my surgery. We worked hard together for over a year, and this year I accomplished so many racing goals(4 sprint triathlons this season!) that never could have been possible without their help. Thank you Alaska Physical Therapy Specialists! I wouldn't be where I am today without you guys!

Experiencia fantástica: I suffered an injury near my collarbone (due to a cycling malfunction) and visited AKPT with surgery as an option (grade 3, of 5, tendon tear). Upon entering AKPT (pre COVID), I was greeted warmly and began PT on time. Michelle was my initial doctor and she attentively listened every aspect of pain, uneasiness, concerns and my consistent questioning of executing workouts properly. Due to maternity responsibilities, I began to see another AKPT provider who was just as professional (he isn’t with the company anymore due to family priorities). Then came COVID... I was fortunate to be able to continue care via mobile device at home with Jeff for 3 sessions. We didn’t miss a beat; each session began on time just as if I were physically at their place of business. Last week was my first week returning to the facility and I’m so excited to see AKPT requires immediate hand washing upon entry, mask wear at all times and exhausts all efforts to not have patients within 10 feet of one another (paramount to me because I have a high risk auto immune deficient family member in my residence). I refer as many people as possible to AKPT: they’re courteous, empathetic & always maintain a 1 to 1 PT/patient ratio. (Never in my 12+ visits have my provider departed my side during rehab) I am surprised at my rate of healing, which I have resumed all my preinjury workouts! You will not be disappointed! Chris

Experiencia fantástica: At the beginning of the year I tore my ACL and Meniscus and was referred to Alaska Physical Therapy. Throughout the year, I worked with all the physical therapists and they’re all great! I especially loved working with Shauna, she was able to make high-energy workouts for me, so I wasn’t getting bored throughout all the sessions I had to attend. The facility is very clean and everyone was very friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff here is very professional from the receptionist to the PTs. I worked exclusively with Michelle and she had the hands of an Angel. I would show up barely able to move and when I left was moving like I didn't have a issue at all. The program she worked up for exercises made a huge difference in my daily routine and it continues to help me get better. Even though I was there for physical therapy everyone was always friendly and seemed genuinely interested in how you were feeling. I am not a talker by character but for some reason felt so comfortable with Michelle we would carry on a conversation the whole session, week after week. You can't find a better place to go to to get back on track and on the way to a speedy recovery. Thanks Alaska physical therapy your team Rock's. Hopefully I don't need to return but if I do I know I'll be in good hands.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the best physical therapy clinic in Alaska. I have received PT from few adult PT’s in Anchorage and this is the best one for many reason as: 1)They are collaborative with your other care providers. 2)Their care is comprehensive. 3)They explain what they are having you do and why. 4)They are professional yet personable providers and admin. 5)Billing has never been an issue, because they understand your insurance and how to bill for your care. 6)They discuss and monitor your progress to get you reaching your physical goals. 7) their home exercise plans are effective if you do them regularly. 8) They are Locally Owned, #celebratesmallbusiness. 9) They are health care providers unlike most clinics, which seem to prioritize being a business. 10) After a few months I’ve made progress towards living my best life.

Experiencia fantástica: Been going to physical therapy on and off for 15 yrs and the drs. did the same thing and it only made it worse. These guys changed it up and it really helped my knee issues. They are very friendly and professional. Loved the fact I worked with same therapist each time. Honestly going to miss going.

Experiencia fantástica: I used AKPT 10 years for my PT of knee ACL replacement, and I am using them right now for another knee surgery I had, over the 15 years of using AKPT, they are the best. Iva is the nicest and most organized front desk / Nurse money can buy! ;)) Jeff, Shauna and Erin have all been world class PT and very knowledgeable and also push you the right amount to get you to the recovery you are looking for. I give them 6 Stars all day long, we are lucky in this town of Anc to have such a professional organization and friendly medical / Physical Therapy services. Thanks again AKPT!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I went through a broken ankle injury, with no PT for an extended period of time. Once I was referred here, I don’t think I could have had a better experience. The atmosphere and the staff are nothing short of amazing. My PT, Shauna Boquist was outstanding. She helped me get back to what I was doing before my injury quicker than I realized was possible. She was super friendly and it made awkward movements not feel so awkward - ha! And just helped me feel more comfortable in general. Alaska physical therapy specialists as a whole is fantastic! They work great as a team. When my regular physical therapist went on vacation, I felt the same friendless and healing from the PT stepping in for that session. The people at the desk make you feel welcome and I truly looked forward to my visits (as weird as that may be), because of how inviting they made their atmosphere. I HIGHLY recommend them. Experiencia fantástica: After falling and dislocating my shoulder while ice skating, I was referred by my orthopedist for PT. I was given two pages of therapists to choose from and after doing extensive research, I chose AK PT Specialists. Thank God I did! During my first evaluation, Jeff determined there was MUCH more going on with my shoulder and suggested I get a second opinion. I ended up seeing Dr. Paisley and it was determined I needed surgery to repair my rotator cuff (3 out of 4 tendons). I am back on the road to recovery with Jeff and feeling confident I will regain full range-of-motion. I cannot thank him enough for his thorough assessment and assistance with getting me the help I need to make a full recovery.

Experiencia fantástica: Jeff and his staff at Alaska Physical Therapy Specialists (AKPT) have been just awesome, not for just one recovery and rehabilitation after surgery but for two! First, I had a bone tumor removed from my right arm bone, and the recovery period was very long due to the significantly invasive surgery but Jeff and AKPT helped me heal and advance through therapy at a safe, proper pace and with great results. Two years later, I then had rotator cuff surgery but was more like shoulder replacement as I had 8 items remedied, and again Jeff and AKPT have been incredible in guiding me to regain my range-of-motion and strength. The progressive series of exercises at AKPT were always focused on where I was in the recovery process, the areas that needed improvement, and not doing too much too fast as this could cause a setback. The front desk staff were alwayws helpful with billing, scheduling and moving appointments around as needed. I would recommend Jeff and his AKPT staff to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: I'm a runner and I love, no crave to be outdoors. After my knee surgery I was told I wouldn't run more than a few days a week and wouldn't be doing long distance. Jeff Evans listen to my heart & was on my team and together we proved them wrong. I qualified for Boston, I've done 4 TRI's and I ran a 50K. My knee still feels strong. I did a preventative check this year & my great surgeon Dr. Rhyneer agreed that the team did well and 4 years later the knee looks good. They worked with me on the time of day that was good for me to go, they were professional and they made my set back easier to endure. Jeff has also helped me with a neck, low back and Achilles tendon issues, all resolved well and timely. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I went in with a probelm ive had for almost 6 years, when other PT offices told me id have to have surgery, Jeff had me diagnosed and on my way to recovery by the first visit. The next two months were rough, but the end result was astounding. Everyone from the receptionists to the other doctors were super sweet and curtious. I would recommend them to anyone i know! Experiencia fantástica: I was sent to see Jeff and his team by a doctor from Alaska Spine Institute (who also raves about this group of pros). In just a few months, I was feeling back to normal receiving great training/advice from the therapist pertaining to workouts, forms, and stretches. Incorporating their instruction with my regular workout has helped immensely in eradicating the pain and discomfort I was feeling, and getting some gains along the way! The staff was very personable and professional, listening to my concerns while leading me through a drug-free recovery of a lower back injury.

It is our policy followed by the entire staff and shared by majority of healthcare small business's in Alaska that all copay, coinsurance, and deductibles are due at the time of service since we are legally obligated to collect all payments not covered by insurance. We do work directly one on one with all of our clients and only a specialized physical therapist provides the physical therapy care. There is a business side of providing care as we would hope you understand and this cost money. We are a very compassionate group of therapist, managers and owners who understand that most current healthcare plans have high deductibles and other limitations that are quite unfortunate for all clients, including you. Please keep in mind we have no control over the amount of your deductible or your plan regulations. That is set by your health insurance provider and we understand that can be quite frustrating. Therefore, as a courtesy to people who cannot afford to pay at the time of service, upon management approval, we try to help these clients by developing a payment plan to continue to provide care with respect to keeping an account balance in check, as we did with you. Growing balances with payment plans at what one can / cannot afford can become very large balances with very long repayment time frames. We had hoped for an understanding of mutual respect of care provided and payment for service in an agreed manner at the time of initial and follow up visits. We sincerely wish you the best and hope you will improve in a rapid manner.

Experiencia fantástica: Therapy was individualized and designed for my personal and physical goals. My ideas were considered and incorporated. I was pleasantly surprised with rate of my progress when some “new to me” treatment was used. The hands on approach combined with dry needling set me up to progress to a home program quickly. I injured a new body part leading to surgery. I plan to go back!!!
