Experiencia positiva: Let me say that my Mom's final months were spent at Blumenthal's and for the most part it was a very good experience. I felt the staff was very caring and most professional. The only thing that I would mention is that in the final couple of weeks of her life she was transferred to another hall and was not kept as clean as I would have hoped for. We addressed this with the staff and I felt that they responded very well and do believe that whoever may have been assigned to care for my Mom maybe had not been adequately trained. I want to encourage family member regardless of what facility their loved ones are in to always keep an eye out for these matters of personal hygiene. I am still somewhat haunted that I did not do an adequate job as her son in staying on top of this. Of all the places my Mom stated in her final years I do feel Blumenthal's was the best.

Experiencia fantástica: Disclaimer: I have not been a patient here nor have I had a family member here. However, I have been there to see a couple of patients I was working with. From my initial call to this location, I was impressed. I believe the lady’s name is Sheila (I am certain it’s an S name) who answered the phone. She was very pleasant and didn’t seem bothered to be answering the phone (like I’ve experienced at several other skilled nursing facilities). Once I arrived, the lobby was nice and bright with decoration and several of the residents enjoying time out there, as well as the outdoor patio. I saw two different patients here and both of them reported having a positive experience. In fact, they both mentioned (unprompted) how delicious the food was there! One even said that it was better than most restaurants! (Kudos to the cooks/chefs!!) The nutritionalist came in to speak with the patient during our visit and ensured that the patient was getting the double portions he was needing. She was on top of his care and seemed genuinely concerned about his nutritional needs. One of the patients I was seeing was told that they’d be changing rooms. While we chatted, several employees came by the offer assistance in packing up his room and getting him moved. All were very accommodating, professional and mindful of our ongoing interaction. From what I saw, this facility is very clean and organized. The staff seem to enjoy their jobs and work well together. I was really impressed!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a family member at this facility. He had been in many facilities in Greensboro over a few years. Blumenthal was by far the greatest of them all. Excellent care. I would highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I live very close to the facility, and have had two friends (at different times) staying there. Because I live close, I can visit frequently. Both of them were very happy with the staff and their physical therapists. If ever I need it, I definitely want to go to Blumenthal!

Experiencia fantástica: Blumenthal is a beautiful facility. It’s spacious and homey. Phyllis and her staff are excellent. The therapy staff are knowledgeable and compassionate providing individualized programs structured to help each individual meet their own goals.

Experiencia fantástica: Caring and loving place for my mother. She has been treated with respect and dignity. The nursing staff and social workers follow up timely. Can't say enough about them!

Experiencia positiva: My grandfather has conjunctivitis in one eye which has been neglected to be cleaned for so long now that i thought he was developing skin cancer around his eye and am amazed he could open it at all. He also is very high fall risk without any bed rails only routine checks. I guess if he falls at least he won't lay on the floor too long. On the plus side everyone was very kind, he is being washed and fed, and the place seemed fairly clean. Update: The day after this was posted his eye was clean. He is still left alone a lot but can now get in and out of a wheelchair assisted which is progress.

Experiencia fantástica: My father was there for about 3 weeks for rehabilitation after an accident and surgery. The level of care, the nicest staff you could imagine, and the quality of the facility were great. The rehab team and nurses that took care of dad were exceptional. It's nice to know there is a place that cares about their patients. Great job!

Experiencia positiva: Both my parents have been to this facility for rehab. The staff is caring, the rehab is wonderful. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the meals (but the food has improved greatly in the last 6 months from when my mother was first there).

Experiencia fantástica: My family member has been there for awhile and her care has been great! All staff has treated her like family. I would advise anyone who puts horrible comments in the reviews about a facility make sure you doing your part as family. If all you do is visit and nothing else or you expecting perfection then you may need to take care of your family yourself. Apparently, you can not or don't have a desire to. So, please stop bashing a place that you don't have what it take to do yourself!
