He truly takes the time to understand the circumstances surrounding the pain. Through a series of recommended exercises, I have been able to tone down the pain. I was glad to see him break away from the larger corporate setting where his talents were wasted while being forced to split time between multiple patients at a time. Now, at Performance Physiotherapy we are one-on-one the entire visit without being rushed. His home gym and treatment space is very professional, clean, welcoming and situated in a pleasant neighborhood. Its also nice to have the privacy to talk openly about your health without a crowd of people around you. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: About a month ago I started feeling shoulder pain, which was something I’ve never experienced before. I have done PT for other ailments in a clinic setting before, but I wanted to try something different as I felt like it always took a long time to feel better. At first I was a little hesitant knowing it was in someone’s home, but once I walked in, Al made me feel very comfortable. His clinic was very professional and you can tell he put a lot of time and effort into it. He has all the equipment, plus more, that you’d have in a standard PT clinic. I remember I’d barely see the PT when I would go into a standard clinic as well and mostly worked with the PT assistants. At Performance Physiotherapy, Al is able to give his full attention to me as he is the only PT and I am the only patient present. I’ve seen Al twice now and just after one visit, my shoulder was almost 100% better. I am grateful to Al and grateful for his dedication in seeing me fully healed.

Experiencia fantástica: Al has been extremely instrumental in getting our daughter back in competition after a couple issues that had surfaced relating to growth and her body having strength deficits. Al was able to precisely pinpoint the areas that needed addressed and figure out a plan to resolve said issues. We chose Al because we had heard of his extensive knowledge/education to be able to diagnose and execute a plan for recovery and also because of how he relates to his patients. Al has exceeded our expectations!

The in-home facility really creates a unique and individualized experience without the crowded, intimidating gym culture. I was looking for a workout plan specific to my goals. Al not only tailored a workout program for me, he worked with me to ensure proper form/technique throughout my workouts. Al listens to the short term and long term goals and sets you up for success. 10/10 can’t recommend enough.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Smith performed a very detailed assessment of my painful areas, as well as a video analysis of certain lifting movements that causes the pain. Putting the two together, Dr. Smith showed me exactly how our treatments were going to impact how I was moving (it's awesome when you can see the immediate change on video). He pinpointed the issue and I felt great when finished. His extremely personalized approach is unlike any PT I've been to!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot speak highly enough of my time working with Al. I have worked with several physical therapists over the years, but my best experiences have been working with Al. He stands out for his knowledge and dedication to each patient. Al helped me through several different joint injuries, and we worked together to create the best rehab protocol to fit me and my schedule. He always addressed my concerns, and I got a say in my rehab process. He has a great experience and knowledge of the whole body. Al never focused on just the one joint that was injured, rather he was always taking into consideration all potential sources of pain and what the pain may impact. He truly cares about each individual he works with and is great at motivating his patients. Al gets to know his patients, and what is important to them is important to him. He genuinely cares about the results he yields for his patients and their success even after physical therapy. I highly recommend Performance Physiotherapy. Al will put in his all to get you the results you want!

Experiencia fantástica: I reached out to Al for a shoulder issue I'd been having off and on for a long time. It had kept me from weight training for years as it always ended up being painful and sore for days. When I saw him, he was excellent at explaining what was happening, and the route we would take to fix it. After working with him for a few weeks I was back to weight training with no shoulder pain at all. Highly recommend Al, very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Experiencia fantástica: I had tweaked my calf running and had nagging pain that wouldn't go away, I went to see Al at Performance Physiotherapy. He used dry needling, my first time trying it, and it completely fixed my calf. I went for a 6 mile run the next day and it felt fantastic.

Experiencia fantástica: Al has done a wonderful job getting our son Jack back to playing football. Jack was struggling with a nagging high hamstring tendinitis. Al was able to use multiple functional therapies with assigned strengthening and flexibility exercises so Jack could safely return to the field. Al was very accommodating in his schedule to get Jack seen quickly and for regular follow ups. He was also very helpful and quick in getting Jack into more advanced pain management and evaluation if needed. I highly recommend Al as your first step in injury or progressive discomfort assessment. He has become our go to guy.

I went to see Al after experiencing bad neck pain that was inhibiting my ability to go to the gym, as well as causing issues while trying to sleep at night. He is very thorough in walking you through his processes and concluded our session with specific stretches and suggestions that I could continue to do on my own time to target the area. After dry needling, I felt immediate relief and within a couple days I felt like a new person! Al is a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him for your physical therapy needs.
