Experiencia fantástica: I came to Specialized Physical Therapy following rotator cuff surgery back in August. My sister was treated by Sal at the Pacific Street location the previous year for a shoulder replacement. She had a very good experience and positive outcome so that played a large part in my selecting that facility and Sal as my therapist. The treatment I received during the course of 18 weeks was outstanding and thus I had a very positive outcome. This was due to two components of the process – a skilled therapist with a long and successful work history in the field, and my motivation to do whatever was necessary for me to reach my three goals (maximum range of motion, return to an active workout routine, and golf in the spring of 2017). For me, I always felt like I was in good hands. Sal knows how to pace the therapy, when you’re ready for the next level, always challenging and encouraging you but never setting you up for failure with “too much too soon”. I also appreciated his explanations about the “what, why and how” of the various treatments along the way. The practice is a very positive environment, clean, friendly and state-of-the art. I was always greeted by the front office staff with a welcoming smile and genuine attitude. An added bonus – the camaraderie that develops over time and sharing of stories, news events, family activities, etc. Hopefully, I will never need physical therapy treatment again but if so, I would definitely come back to SPT. One month after starting PT due to Degenerative Disc Disease/herniated disc his customized approach has helped me learn to strengthen and consciously utilize specific muscle groups which has reduced my pain to the point I no longer rely on pharmaceutical medications to get through the day. No minor feat considering I was potentially looking at surgery!

Experiencia fantástica: I had problems with my shoulder. After receiving an injection to relieve the pain and inflammation, physical therapy was recommended. After the evaluation, Sal set a plan of action to strengthen the muscles. He explained the need of all the exercises and was very encouraging. The staff was most friendly and knowledgeable as well. Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been dealing with golfer’s elbow for 5 years with no relief! I was finally referred to physical therapy and it’s been such a great turn around. I was skeptical coming in, but I did everything I was told to do and the therapy has relieved so much of my pain. I’m very satisfied with the outcome! The staff were ALWAYS so kind and welcoming! The Rock Valley clinic is clean, simple, and has all of the necessary equipment to aid in a 100% result. The best part is that each appointment guarantees only one-on-one time with the therapist. They pay attention to detail, are encouraging and knowledgeable and make you work hard. Mike and Tricia are the only PT’s I will see with any issues I have. I highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a knee replacement on October 7th. Once I had completed in home therapy I was referred to Specialized Therapy. I went to the Pacific location and worked closely with Mike (Sal) Salerno. With Sal’s encouragement and some hard work I was able to bend at the knee to 130 degrees and when sitting get it almost completely flat at +1 degree. In addition Sal gave me some in home activities to work on. Sal not only helped rehab my knee but also improve my balance. By the time I left it felt like I was leaving family. Sal and his team of Trish and Gina were great to work with. Highly recommend Specialized for any physical therapy need you may have.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience at Specialized Physical Therapy. I went there due to a old high school shoulder injury. From the first session to the last, they addressed my needs in strengthen my shoulder. Sal came up with a plan specifically to treat my injured shoulder that worked well. I was given take home exercises to do that included video while being evaluated weekly The staff was always so welcoming and professional during every session. By the time I finished my rehab, I have improved dramatically from the first day. Overall excellent experience and facility. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing physical therapy!

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience here recently rehabbing a shoulder injury. Sal was excellent in diagnosing the issue and evaluating my recovery. Extra care and time was taken to make sure I understood how much activity to participate in, how to properly perform the rehab exercises, and keeping track of improvement. I left with a better understanding of exercises to continue to do to improve health, along with a full recovery. Would happily come here again for care - and highly suggest to anyone else.

I have had to previous orthopedic surgeries, and would have loved to have done my PT with Specialized the first to go arounds. Sal and his staff were personable and professional. They made my PT plan clear to me, adjusted to my progress, and assisted me thoroughly with any set backs. They are thoughtful and listened to my concerns. Experiencia fantástica: Do not go any place else!! Mike Salerno has knowledge and experience that will help you understand how you will improve physically and tips to help you emotionally, too. Detailed exercises are printed out for you and there is a portal to watch videos of the exercises if you need it, too. You will be challenged to do your best to achieve the best result. And you're treated to a hot cup of tea or coffee while you ice down your joints at the conclusion of your session. Nothing better!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve never had to do physical therapy before, so when I tore my bicep muscle and had to go to Specialized for a couple of months at first I felt a little trepidation. But any reservations or fears I had about physical therapy were immediately put to rest as the staff showed me the utmost respect and care, making me feel very much at ease. Whatever pain I was going through during the exercises and stretches were addressed and I felt like I was never pushed beyond my limits, but just enough to coax my body to restore health and mobility. Thanks to the patience and care of the therapists and the hospitality of all the staff, I can now say I have successfully transitioned back to work by hitting the ground running, so to speak. You’re in good hands with Soecialized, pick them.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in for another car accident. There was one before that Sal helped me recover from. Scheduling is easy, with emails being sent with scheduled appointments or having them printed off. Sal made sure I was doing well before increasing weight or teaching new excercise. Plus they have a login that you can use to see the excercise done so you can make sure you're doing it the right way. I really cant say how much I appreciate Sal's work to get me back to normal. Dina his receptionist was above and beyond on cleaning for covid prevention along with her other normal duties. They make you feel welcome and get you back to where you need to be. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience at SPT, very knowledgeable staff with great equipment. I had bi-lateral knee replacement with a few complications, I was not a run of the mill patient. Mike and his staff worked hard to get me back to a place where I could enjoy my activities and hobbies and provided me with stretches and exercises that I can do on my own going forward. SPT is very respectful of your time. Appointments are started on time and end based on your availability and how you are feeling that day. The staff there treat you like royalty and were genuinely interested in seeing you meet and exceed your goals. I would highly recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: Super friendly staff and super awesome PT! Went here to recovery from a broken wrist and surgery. I could not even hold one pound in my hand when I started, and when I finished, I was able to return to doing push-ups, playing racquetball, and using dumbbells at the gym. Overall, a great experience and a fun environment to be in! The therapists definitely know what they are doing.

Experiencia fantástica: After fracturing my left arm humerus bone in early January of 2019, I started therapy at Specialized Physical Therapy on 7611 Pacific Street. I was referred there by Dr. Matthew Dilisio, Shoulder and Elbow Specialist. I did not have to have surgery but started physical therapy shortly after. I completed my therapy sessions on May 16th, 2019. I was scheduled for either two or three times a week. I was very impressed with both therapists, Michael Salerno and Tricia Arant. I could tell that they were professional and that they knew what they were doing with my arm and knee. The exercises they prescribed were helpful and specific. Even though I was not always faithful to doing the exercises for the amount of time that they prescribed, I liked the fact that they kept after me and always checked and encouraged me. The thing that I liked best about going to therapy was how I was greeted at the door by the assistants and how respectfully I was treated by the therapists and their staff. The therapists were firm in their treatment of me and yet were gentle and understanding of my lack of effort at times. . I would highly recommend this therapy place to others. In fact many Sisters of Mercy did and have continued to go to them for help.

The staff was caring and competent and always made sure I was feeling well before we began a PT session. I never had to wait more than 2 or 3 minutes before beginning my session. The entire staff was friendly and helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: The whole team at Specialized Physical Therapy at 75th and Pacific St location is wonderful. I was nervous about what the therapy would entail and it was my first experience with physical therapy. They made me relaxed and confident in their abilities. They always showed genuine care for me and how I was doing. The results have been great. I feel like I got my life back since I can now use both arms and and no longer limited in movement and activity. My only regret is that I didn’t go sooner. They helped me create a regiment of exercises I can continue to do to avoid another frozen shoulder too. I miss going there!!

With a lot of hard work I got my bend to where it should be and even exceeded the goal. I could not have done it without Sal and his team. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing PT and if I ever need it again I will be back. The staff are all super nice and friendly really make you feel at home.

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They gently encourage you to meet goals with the push I needed. I would highly recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: I was blessed to have Sal and his staff at Specialized Physical Therapy help me recover from an inflamed tendon in my foot. The exercise routine and other therapy procedures helped to restore normal function as they alleviated pain and swelling. Sal, Zach and Amy were always caring, kind and helpful. Experiencia fantástica: I have used the Specialized PT staff for rehab after a knee replacement and rehab of my shoulder. The facilities are clean and well equiped. A therapist starts me on my session on time. The therapist works with me and monitors the workout, charts status and measure my movement of range progress. The workout is for the full scheduled 1 hour. At the end of the workout whether it was my knee or shoulder it is iced down for 15 minutes to help control swelling. All the staff is helpful and carring.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the second time I have been in need of physical therapy. The first time (earlier this year) was for a torn rotator in my shoulder and this time it was for a total knee replacement. Both rehabilitation experiences were successful beyond my expectations. I will be back after my next knee replacement in a few months. I have now completed my second knee replacement and the physical therapy associated with it. My recovery was even better than the first one which was done last February. The therapy enabled me to recover quickly and the attention given to me by Specialized Physical Therapy was what made it possible. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience there. Recovery is not easy but they will get you through it. Do what they say and good results will follow.

They always made sure I was progressing at a steady rate while simultaneously not pushing me too hard after surgery if I was having a bad or sore day. In the end, I left feeling like I had made really good progress and can now do all of my day to day activities without pain! Not only great PT's but also great people!

Experiencia fantástica: I discovered Specialized Physical Therapy a year ago. I went in knowing I had a lot of work to do considering I could barely walk on my foot (posterior tibial tendonitis). When I walked in the door I instantly recieved a warm and sincere welcoming from Emily, the receptionist, who I overtime have come to know and love! Everything was clean and organized and I could already tell I was in good hands! To me, this is so important. Walking into any business that I am putting my trust into should always hold a good first impression, and SPT definatley did. Sal was always so postive and patient with me. He was personable and always made my visit fun, while still pushing me to see the best in myself and believe in my ability to heal! I would without a doubt recommend Specialized Physical Therapy to anyone needing a trustworthy, kind, and knowledgable place to recover. (They also have very comfortable chairs to ice in once you are done with your session...you may even fall asleep in them!!!!)

Experiencia fantástica: Specialized therapy does an excellent job of bringing you back to 100%. they have a certain list of exercises, progressing as you progress, to reach your goal. they insist, but gently, how important it is to do this consistently. And at the end of the 'workout', you get to sit in a comfy chair with ice on the injured/worked area with a refreshing drink. I felt well cared for treated with kindness.

Experiencia fantástica: I was sent to Specialized Physical Therapy by one of the top orthopedists in Omaha, who highly recommended them. And now I know how right he was! When I showed up for my first appointment in mid-December I could barely move my "frozen" left shoulder: I couldn't reach in my back pocket for my wallet without pain, couldn't lift cans off a shelf, and was having trouble sleeping because of the pain. Sal and Zack pushed me during my sessions just the right amount and gave me very reasonable exercises to do at home. Before long, my mobility was improved and my pain greatly reduced.
