Experiencia fantástica: I've been sent to PT probably 4-5 times over the years for various ailments & injuries. And never went back for a 2nd session for any of them. Nothing wrong with the therapists, it was the exercises felt pointless and ineffective. And I really did go in with a fresh perspective each time, eager to finally feel the chemistry and have it "click" for me. Alas, no. When I killed my ankle and the surgeon OK'd me to start PT I thought, ugh, here we go again. Some fresh-out-of-school, wide-eyed, naive, Kool-aid drinker is going to be super nice and I'm going to have to pretend I believe when she tells me to wiggle my toes for 10 minutes, wrap a green ribbon of rubber around my foot, pull-stretch a few times, and I would be good as new in no time. Then charge me $140 and ensure I see the scheduler on the way out to book more appointments. Not this time. From the initial phone call to the end, Lindsay and her staff were outstanding. A superior mix of professionalism, attentiveness, knowledge, insight, experience, the seemingly ever-fading art of empathy and tuning into their patients, and just all-around pleasant, upbeat, positive people. While all that is great and is essential to creating a positive experience, what counts the most is the question: is their approach and philosophy toward treatments effective? Going in, I was discouraged and felt behind schedule in healing, but they managed to flip that around in a matter of a handful of sessions. They measured my progress, were acutely aware of the slightest issues and tailored exercises around them, and REMEMBERED everyone's unique situation (often several patients/therapists working at the same time in an open space) and level of progress the minute they walked through the door without consulting a chart or each other. My progress was exponential and the optimism I got from it is invaluable; robust mental health also plays a significant role in healing and improving. Is that a long-winded way of saying they actually care about their patients and take their work seriously? Yes, but worth the wind.

I went in for a knee complaint and by listening and asking questions she determined that I also needed work on strengthening my ankles and hips, which has helped my overall mobility greatly. She was also very understanding of my high insurance copay and worked with me to get the most out of the time I was able to spend with her. I would recommend her to anyone and will be back if I have more injuries. She's fantastic!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to NovaCare for several separate and distinct injuries (rotator cuff impingement syndrome, torn meniscus/arthritis, facet replacement [total joint replacement vs. spinal fusion], and a dislocated shoulder/fractured humerus). Throughout all my treatments, I have had consistently outstanding results. NovaCare has an extremely high-standard of care. For many, especially first-timers, the mere thought of physical therapy conjures images of torture with no immediate gratification. The fact is, you must look at the big picture. There may be some discomfort in the healing process. But physical therapists are expertly trained in human physiology. With their guidance, they KNOW they can improve your quality of life. You have be willing to put in the effort. And at NovaCare, the staff and front-office take a personal interest in your progress. It gives you that little extra inspiration to do your best.
