Experiencia fantástica: I have had chronic lower back and hip pain for years and no amount of prescribed PT has worked. I started working with Adam and right from the beginning he was able to properly diagnose and explain my issues. He put together a specific individualized program for me to regain mobility and strength back to these areas. For the first time in years I have no pain and gained my flexibility and strength back. Adam does a fantastic job of explaining the how and why and his program has allowed me to keep on getting stronger even after feeling better. I cannot recommend him enough!

Experiencia fantástica: I found Adam's PT group after years of feeling dissatisfied and no better off from other prescribed PT services, and I am so grateful to have found them! Experiencia fantástica: I started working with Adam to gain strength and confidence with lifting after dealing with chronic back pain. He was able to assess my pain and teach me skills to relieve acute episodes of pain and then work with me to build up strength. He pushed me to go heavier in the gym and I’m confident that I am gaining strength to prevent more back pain. The app made it easy for him to write workouts when I was traveling and he was always able to work with my schedule when I was home. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Got in a last minute session with Ryan to prep for my Boston Marathon and deal with my neck and shoulder issues. He was patient and proactively reached out to have a pre-session just to nail down on areas of focus for the session. After a few exercises I immediately felt better. He also followed up and encouraged me to continue with the exercises so I could get to the starting line of the marathon. Not only I was able to start, I completed it and earned my Six Stars too! All thanks to Ryan!

Experiencia fantástica: I had been struggling with plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis for months after the Boston marathon in April 2023 and was only seeing small improvements from regular physical therapy. I had 6-7 sessions with Kyle and was able to run 3 marathons within 9 weeks of each other without any pain!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been training with Kyle Schultz for more than a month now and I feel stronger than ever! I was transitioning from traditional physical therapy which is good for going out of pain but never actually made me stronger / prepare me for going back to my previous active lifestyle. Training with Sustain Fitness has changed my life- It challenges me, and most importantly, gave me faith that I can return to athletics! I also feel comfortable training with them because they are certified physical therapist and understand how to conduct training safely. Experiencia fantástica: I have worked with Adam for over five years, starting with physical therapy for radiating back pain. Since then, we have been able to build up my overall strength with regular workouts that continually challenge my strength, mobility and flexibility. Working with Adam, I have gained a lot more confidence in my physical capacity and I appreciate the thoughtfulness of his approach. I have had occasional opportunities to work with other trainers at Sustained Physical Therapy. Each of them has given me new, complementary perspectives that expand my understanding. Experiencia fantástica: Adam and his team are fantastic! I went to Adam for some hip pain that I’ve been having while running. With his physical therapy background he was able to pinpoint what areas I needed to strengthen in my hips, and gave me a custom routine that I can do at the gym. He provided videos and written instruction which helps a lot in making sure I have proper form. It’s only been a few weeks and I’m already back to running at the distance I was doing before the pain started! Excellent team at Sustained Fitness and would recommend them without a doubt!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been seeing Kyle Schultz since the summer for shoulder injuries. As a gent who is in the mid 60's, the injuries come easier and take longer to recover from. Kyle is such a master at shoulder rehab that I'm now pain free. He is ALWAYS overwhelmingly positive and is great in supporting my technique. I can't praise them enough as they've been fantastic to work with.

Experiencia fantástica: Sustained Fitness is a must! I had my second microdisectomy surgery in January and received the "traditional" PT regimen. I didn't feel stronger, and certainly didn't feel safe performing activities at work (I’m a nurse) or activities I performed before surgery such as skiing or backpacking. I found Sustained Fitness and was paired up with Kyle. Kyle is super encouraging and explains exercises in great detail. I was super hesitant to begin training my lower body and back after this surgery, but Kyle has taken a stepwise approach to ensure that not only am I physically safe and able to perform the exercises, but mentally comfortable as well. I’m looking forward to extending my time at Sustained Fitness and can’t recommend this place enough!

Experiencia fantástica: I worked with Kyle Schultz for the last few months (10 sessions). I reached out to sustained fitness after trying traditional physical therapy for 4 months due to bad lower back pain and sciatica that had worsened in the last year. I had days where I couldn't bend down or do anything for too long without back pain and fatigue. As an active person who prioritizes exercise on a daily basis, it was emotionally and mentally hard not to be able to exercise at the level I was before. Traditional physical therapy was not pushing me past a certain point and I knew I needed more. Kyle worked with me on mobility on strength and gave me autonomy and confidence in performing strength exercises I had never explored before. He was very understanding of the stresses we all face in daily life and programmed exercises for me that I could make work whether at home or in the gym. My pain continues to improve and Kyle truly helped me to feel proud of my progress. Kyle approaches his clients with kindness and does a great job at explaining the "why" of each exercise. Kyle and Sustained fitness will definitely be my go-to for PT in the future!

Experiencia fantástica: My experience with Sustained Fitness and Physical Therapy has been phenomenal. I’ve been in and out of physical therapy for years for various back, foot, and ankle issues, and it always seemed more like a band-aid than a true fix because of the heavy limitations of insurance-driven PT that prevented a more holistic approach. Working with Kyle (Schultz) and getting to experience thorough, thoughtful, integrated, and adaptive exercise programs has been SO worth this investment—I’ve now been consistent with working out for nearly three consecutive months (unprecedented because it used to be such a chore!), I’m able to (thoughtfully) introduce new activities without painful setbacks, and I’m just generally feeling much stronger, healthier, and better, which is so exciting. Someday I’d love to see the traditional PT/insurance world undergo some reforms so that insurance *can* cover the holistic approach that’s served me so well here, but in the meantime, this shift has been worth every penny—would recommend it to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Sustained Fitness is physical therapy and personal training wrapped up together. The instructors are very knowledgeable and can determine exactly what muscles you need to work to correct weaknesses, misalignments, or whatever ailment you are dealing with. This place takes the guess work out of finding the right training plan for your unique needs or goals. It’s reduced my back and hip pain and each weak I feel stronger. Worth it!

Experiencia fantástica: I took the once-a-week plan at Sustained Fitness (SF) for 3 months and worked with Kyle Ashworth as my trainer. For a quick background I am 32 years old and generally more interested in activities such as running (2 to 10 miles), swimming (500m to 2000m), climbing (v4-v6, 10a-11c), hiking and have a very skinny/underweight body type. 6-7 years ago I had a disc bulge in my lower neck and back which caused a whole host of issues that led to muscle loss and significant lifestyle changes, which were also exacerbated by my desk work. I did resume some normalcy but could not continue any of my favourite activities the way I wanted. In the 3 months with Sustained Fitness I went from thinking "I can never run again" to "I can work back up to running 10 miles". My workouts included a combination of calisthenics, resistance bands, weight lifting, isolation, and compound exercises. But most importantly I was given the how and why to do those exercises. This was important since I have done weight lifting and resistance training before, but for my body type (hypermobile joints, lanky, don't gain weight) performing them the way everyone did was not helping. I highly recommend getting the extra $100/month addon for 'pre-planned workouts for the week' as I could focus on doing the exercises rather than brainstorming what is best for me. You can also tell SF what you're looking to improve and they will cater the workouts accordingly, such as better weight lifting, better endurance, shoulder strength, stability, etc. Post 3 months, most of my issues are under control. Resolving them completely would take quite a while as I have to consistently apply what I have learned but with the knowledge I have received I am now confident it will happen. Price wise it seems expensive however being out-of-network for any insurance has an advantage. It gives them the freedom to treat the issues and muscle imbalances that plague the body as a whole, rather than stick to only one body part at a time; the latter being a requirement for most insurance. They were also diligent in giving the paperwork required for out-of-network providers for my health insurance. As a side note my original correspondence was with Ryan almost a year before I actually joined. He remembered our conversation from then and seamlessly setup the initial assessment. I also worked for a session with Adam and it was great. I am sure all the physical therapists/trainers at SF will provide the same quality of service. A heartfelt thank you to the Sustained Fitness team!

Experiencia fantástica: I had been struggling with persistent lower back problems that were causing me issues with movement and sleeping. I was able to man appointment with Adam, who was able to get to the bottom of my issues, help me work through the pain as I worked through the stretching regimen until I was recovered. The whole Sustained Fitness team were all professional, helpful, and easy to work with.

Experiencia fantástica: I started working with Adam B. back in January to treat some lower back pain I was having and to conduct some preventative mobility work given prior injuries. In three short months, I've already seen a marked improvement in my physical health that has allowed me to throw myself back in to my daily activities. Adam is thoughtful in the routines he puts together and helpful in explaining the 'why' behind all that we're doing together. Experiencia fantástica: Had complete recovery for my rotator cuff tear by working with Ryan at Sustained Fitness and PT. The approach here is different from other PT places I have been to, with a focus on the whole body and science-based movements. Ryan is super patient and pleasant to work with and I’ll be back if I have injuries again (hopefully not lol)

Experiencia fantástica: There are many moving parts to recovering from an injury – everything from managing the injury itself, to resulting weight gain, to changes in activity levels, to setting new goals and trying to stay on track – and Adam really sorted it all out for me. Sustained Fitness really does take a whole-body approach and helped me understand how so many different factors in aging, injury, and recovery all interact. As I continued to heal I transitioned from physical therapy to personal training and I am pleased with both the goals I have been able to set as a guide and my success in achieving them. Experiencia fantástica: As an avid and long-time distance runner, I've had my share of injuries. But recently they've been piling up, and my running coach advised me to work seriously on leg strengthening as a preventative measure. He interviewed several coaches and hands down said I should go with Sustained Fitness. And, having trained with them for several months now (Kyle in particular), I couldn't agree more. They have provided me with a thoughtful and customized performance-based strength plan, they tweak and adjust the plan to suit my needs, they are extremely knowledgeable, and just plain fun to work with. Most importantly for me, they are PT's as well, so they understand risk and how far they can safely push me. No doubt I have progressed more quickly as a result, and I've always felt they knew where to draw the line. And, for those with challenging schedules, the trainers work interchangeably so there's always someone free to accommodate your schedule. I recommend them without reservation.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Sustained Fitness on and off for years and cannot overstate how top-notch this team is! Importantly, they all have doctorates in physical therapy, so these guys are experts in body mechanics and will ensure that you are working out SAFELY and efficiently. Most trainers don't even come close to these qualifications--they charge close to the same amount but don't actually have the education to create safe and optimally effective workouts. The Sustained Fitness team has both helped me recover from major injuries (just ran my first post-ACL tear half marathon thanks so them) and get in the best shape of my life. I am so grateful I found them; personal training is an investment, but it's been an extremely worthwhile one for me.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been training with the Sustained Fitness team for 5+ years and over that period have had an opportunity to work with all 3 of their physical therapists; Ryan, Adam and Kyle. They are ALL great to work with, very knowledgable & personable, and foster a welcoming and friendly environment. I always look forward to my workouts there! They have helped me through lower back pain, neck pain, and the general aches and pains that come with sitting at a desk 50-80 hours a week. What I appreciate the most is how they tailor my workout to address my specific goals. Over the years, I’ve worked with Ryan the most and he is always really good about providing alternatives in the moment to accommodate how my body or mind is feeling that day. Ryan also gives me combinations of exercises to encourage me to be active when I’m not at the studio. In addition he consistently checks in on my overall wellness (activity, hydration, diet, sleep, and stress levels) and will provide reminders or helpful tips for getting back on track. I would highly recommend the experts at Sustained Fitness!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been working with Ryan at Sustained Fitness for the past few months and would recommend him and his practice to anybody looking for physical therapy, personal training, or even better, a combination. What's really unique about Sustained Fitness & PT is that they don't just focus on injury recovery, but on then building a future of ongoing fitness progression once you're past the injury. This integrated approach to recovery and fitness was difficult for me to find - I'm glad I found it here. The first few sessions with Ryan were dedicated to him really understanding the physical limitations I was trying to overcome, analyzing my movement patterns, and listening to my fitness history and long term goals, really encouraging me to think past the initial recovery and set high fitness goals for myself. His passion for fitness and well-being is infectious and he employs a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, taking a scientific level approach to movement and exercise. Almost more importantly though, he understands the mental side of rehabilitation and has helped me progress beyond some of the nagging fears and mental barriers that come with injury recovery. Overall I'm very happy with my experience here. Since starting, I've progressed physically and mentally beyond what I thought was possible in just a few months, and feel confident about fitness and exercise again.

Experiencia fantástica: Started working out with Ryan at Sustained Fitness last year as someone who would opt for a “horizontal workout” over a real one any day. Since then, he has changed my perspective on fitness and what personal training can be. More importantly, I’ve gained the confidence to go to the gym on my own. Thanks to Ryan’s physical therapy background, he is able to tailor workouts that target the exact muscle groups we want to focus on and adjust them for any injuries or aches I may come in with that day. The sessions are challenging but never overboard and Ryan is always sensitive to my overall health/well-being on a particular day. It is obvious that Ryan genuinely cares about his clients and helping them achieve their health goals. He is also easy to talk to which makes those last reps go by a bit faster. Overall, it’s been such a positive experience to workout at Sustained Fitness and I’m only sharing one of my best kept secrets because I won’t be able to workout there any longer. Check them out! Your muscles will thank you for it.

Experiencia fantástica: Dear friends who are a couple recommended Sustained Fitness to me. One of my friends had a “bad back”. He said working with Adam at Sustained Fitness, his back was so much better and able to exercise without pain. He lost 50 lbs in a year! I was hooked. You should see how great my friends look and feel since working with Sustained Fitness. They are living their best lives. Now I am working with Adam who was there coach too. I better understand now why Sustained Fitness is so effective. First, Adam is amazing! He meets me where I am not only physically but also mentally. He tailors my workouts to where I am. I am never stressed or depressed about having to work out which was always an issue for me previously. I actually look forward and enjoy working out now! I never felt that way about working out. All of our workouts are conducted virtually via Zoom calls. As a result, I have lost 10 lbs. already despite my mind saying “you’re too old (60) and fat (75 pounds overweight; now 65!). For me, most importantly, I feel safe being vulnerable with Adam. I can talk honestly with Adam about my self-sabotaging behaviors and we talk it through. I don’t feel judged but incredibly supported. You really “feel” that Adam cares about you. I cannot recommend Adam and Sustained Fitness more strongly. Whatever your goals are, I am confident Sustained Fitness will make sure you not only meet but exceed them!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been working with Ryan at Sustained Fitness for the past month with the goal of reducing activity-related pain that I have been experiencing for the past two years. After the initial consultation visit I learned more than I had from all the previous providers I had seen before (including physical therapist, chiropractor, orthopedist, and sports medicine). Everything at SF is extremely personalized, and they are genuinely invested in helping you reach your goals. Experiencia fantástica: I found Sustained Fitness when looking for physical therapy for an injury I got while bicycling. I received personalized treatment that supported my recovery and allowed me to get back to the activities I enjoy. My experience is that the trainers do an excellent job of asking questions, listening, and then aligning exercises with my needs. As I healed I transitioned from therapy to training with goals of strengthening my body and reducing future injuries. Working with a trainer gives me confidence in my exercise program and provides me with continuous feedback that allows me to do my best. As a result of working with a Sustained Fitness trainer my strength and flexibility has improved, I feel better about myself, and I feel more confident in my other activities.
