Experiencia fantástica: My experience receiving PT at Athletico Detroit has been a crucial part of my healing journey. Nichole is an excellent physical therapist and truly caring person who has helped me regain trust in my ability to heal and navigate chronic pain.

Experiencia fantástica: Since my stroke in 2019, leaving my left arm paralyzed, I have had many occupational therapists. Amanda at the Ren Cen Athletico is one of the best. She is knowledgeable and caring. She has helped me with pain management and has shown me arm exercises to keep my muscles from atrophying. She has also helped me with activities of daily living which can be tricky with just one hand. I highly recommend her and the welcoming staff at Athletico.

Experiencia fantástica: I severely injured my lower leg in a motorcycle accident in May 2022 (skin graph/rod in leg/multiple fractures). I started PT at this facility in the middle of September 2022. The staff was continuous in their pursuit to mend my injuries. Courteous and professional always, they pushed me to get back to my healthy self by teaching me how to walk, exercise and run again. After 8 months, I began running . My journey culminated by running the Detroit Half Marathon just 15 months after my accident. I'm indebted to the staff at Detroit Downtown. Big shout out to Rob, Tyler, Hannah, Ashley and my personal mentor Bryan. I apologize for missing a few folks! I appreciate ALL of you! Experiencia fantástica: Anyone serious about getting healed should at least try this location. Brian is a great physical therapist. I also worked with Hannah and Rob and they are all very knowledgeable and in tuned with their work. After a few months at Athletico Downtown, i'll say the exercises don't feel great but I am seeing improvement after 2 years at a different physical therapy franchise. The whole staff treats every patient great. Also, they make sure people are doing those exercises correctly and are actually improving. These are genuinely cool people to be around and actually care if you are healing

Experiencia fantástica: Nichole, Hannah, Ashley, Tyler, and the staff are awesome. I came in with a hip injury that kept me from playing my sport completely, and they had me healed in 2 months, in time to play at my national tournament. There’s reason and intent behind every exercise, and the explanations they gave helped me understand exactly what we were targeting. They tracked results from start to finish so we could measure the changes over time from when I came in to when I ended. They even gave me recommendations for how to help the team I coach with injury prevention. Top tier.

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome place to go for physical therapy! Everyone who works at this facility is friendly, and it's a fun atmosphere to be in. I worked primarily with Nichole who is incredibly knowledgable and employed various treatments to help with my knee pain (e.g., resistance bands, cupping, massaging). I graduated from my sessions feeling a lot stronger and confident in my body's capabilities.

I have the confidence, strength and ability to walk on a leg that was almost cut off. Brian and Dr. Tardy bring a sense of energy that can only be matched with each other. Experiencia fantástica: I was nervous about phyisical therapy never having done it before and the amount of pain I was living with. In my weeks at Athletico, Nichole and her team have treated me with so much respect and kindness in my physical therapy journey. I felt supported in ever step and understood what each of my exercises were helping. My pain is now little to none, and I am able to enjoy many activities again thanks to the Athletico team. Experiencia fantástica: I came in with several nagging lower body and upper body deficiencies. Well after a few sessions, doing my homework, and a bit of excerise and I felt better than I had in 3 years. It was AMAZING! Highly recommend, though parking is a hassle, it beats walking in a parking lot in the outdoor elements especially during the winter. Added bonus they do evening sessions, because you people do have jobs, you don't need to interupt your work day.

Experiencia fantástica: Nichole Chakur, who leads this Athletico team in the Renaissance Center, is a terrifically gifted therapist. I have gone to PT before over the years and basically, someone sat with a clipboard while i did exercises. Nichole did a very thorough analysis of my issues -- i needed work after hip replacement surgery changed my gait and alignment. She provided exercises for me to do on my own and then provided hands on therapy on problem areas. It was remarkable. I can walk without pain, I have my own ongoing set of exercises to keep strengthening my hip and glutes and i am walking without pain. HIGHLY recommend. Plus it's easy to park in the deck, they validate parking and it's easy in-and-out of the RenCen.

The facility is very clean and the staff is always friendly. Amber helped me rehab my injury and I am now back to living my normal life. Thank You Athletico!

A place where everyone knows your name and truly care about the care you are receiving. I appreciate the entire team from day one of physical therapy. I hope I will never need to go through physical therapy again (thanks to them) however, they have set the bar for my expectations. Thank you for all you do. My therapist also did an excellent job coordinating my care with my primary doc. The location is also so convenient: easy parking, right downtown! Experiencia fantástica: Wow! I had no idea physical therapy would be so fun!! I learned so much about my body and my wonderful PT, Hillary, was able to answer all of my many many questions. The whole staff was exceptionally friendly and great with scheduling even if I needed to reschedule. So glad I decided to do physical therapy so I can get back out there and do the athletic things I love without fear of injury.

Experiencia fantástica: Nicole is the best! I went to Athletico for the first time 2 years ago for some neck pain, and everyone I worked with was thorough, respectful, and informative. I went back about a month ago for some different neck/shoulder pain. At my assessment, Nicole recommended dry needling. I was nervous, but wouldn't have tried it with anyone else. She answered all of my questions up front, and we were in constant communication during each session. It's certainly not a pain-free therapy, but she has years of experience with it, and was always in tune with how I was responding. I recommend this location 100%, and also dry needling with Nicole.

The staff are incredibly friendly, encouraging, and do everything they can to help you get better faster (Amber and Josh, I'm looking at you). They have an online portal that makes paying easy and a website where you can see the exercises you're supposed to do at home with video demonstrations and everything. Experiencia fantástica: Firstly, I am a rep whose job it is to visit all the PT clinics in Detroit. So, thankfully when I myself had various knee-related issues from running/exercising, I knew exactly where to go. This is the highest level of care you can get in Detroit. The staff are extremely knowledgable, kind, informative, enthusiastic, and fun. The location is extremely accessible and nice. The facilities are state of the art. The billing and insurance side was hassle-free. Lastly, the treatment program was brilliant and effective, and was made easy for me to take home by their online portal that has quick video demonstrations of each movement. I could not recommend this place or the staff more.

Experiencia fantástica: I can not express how amazing the whole crew is. You do not feel as you are a patient but rather as a new family member. All of the staff are exceptional in terms of competency and professionalisim. I worked with Nicky for atleast a year dealing with complex pain in my neck and jaw related to my posture. I saw several dentists, payed thousands of dollars, and I regret not listening to Nicky from day 1. I was in a debilitating state with my pain and Nicky fixed me back to normal. After that I told her you are my primary care physician. As a physician myself, I trusted Nicky more than any other physician. Whoever reads this review please rest a sure you are in the best of hands. Will miss this place so much!!!! If i ever come back to detroit i will visit APT again!

Experiencia fantástica: Athletico is a great all around facility and is highly recommended. It's conveniently located, modern, well equipped and utilizes the most effective techniques. The staff is professional, friendly and very encouraging. I always looked forward to the sessions. My therapist, Nichole, was amazing. Under her care and expertise, surgery for a shoulder injury was avoided. In addition, marked improvement in my mobility was also accomplished. I cannot thank her enough.

Experiencia fantástica: The team at Athletico's downtown Detroit location is knowledgeable, friendly, and simply good at what they do. They listen. They ask questions. And, they push you to get better. One week after a rotator cuff repair surgery, I started working with Amber. By sticking with the protocol from the surgeon and following Amber's instructions, I was discharged from physical therapy after 16 weeks. The surgeon was very happy with the results and so am I. This type of repair reportedly takes up to a year for a full recovery, so I still have some homework to get that last 10% of my mobility and range back. But, Amber has me well on my way and with a plan.

Experiencia fantástica: I feel so excited to give this review. The team at Athletico has been truly amazing but I have to say my personal trainer Hillary was the very best. I did not have much hope in my recovery from a torn tendon and 2 surgeries. I was pretty down about my progress from a previous round of PT with another organization(not knocking them, they were good too) but Hillary spent more one-on-one time with me getting to know what worked for me and she pushed me when I needed pushing. She did a great job at always checking in with how I was doing and feeling. I grew to trust what she wanted me to do cause I felt she knew me. I highly recommend Athletico and the whole team!

Experiencia fantástica: I was VERY nervous to start physical therapy in the midst of a global pandemic but the team at Athletico went the extra mile to make me feel safe and comfortable. Nichole, Ashley, and Josh were so friendly and welcoming, I will really miss them. Nichole is an expert in her field and she observed and addressed factors contributing to the physical pain and I challenged I’m experiencing. It was a treat to go to my appointments three times a week, I always left feeling healthier and cared for.

Experiencia fantástica: I must admit, I did not want to come to this facility since all my therapy sessions have been at Henry Ford Athletic Medicine. But due to a switch in insurance plans I had no choice. With that being said, I have been coming for about a month and my therapist Amber is well knowledgeable, as is the entire staff. They have been great so far! Trust and believe you will get worked out as if you have been in a gym. Two things I truly like about them is that they listen and they have so many different tools for all your aches. No pain, no gain!

The entire staff is terrific, a true team working together. My therapist, Amber, was outstanding, and really took the time to know me and understand my lifestyle so she could help me with my back issues. The exercises were challenging and targeted the areas I needed to strengthen. Amber also was a great listener and was there to assure me on my rough days. She is a top top-notch professional. Experiencia fantástica: Nicole is awesome. She is very professional and thorough and truly cares about her patients. I went in there on the first day the openned the doors (I was waiting for them to open). I was in severe pain for weeks prior to meeting Nicole. I had gone thru 3 steroid packs and pain medication which I stopped taking due to side effects. It took about a month or so of visits with Nicole and her teaching me with specific exercises to get back to health. I did my part at home as well with determination and dedication, which I could not have done without Nicole. She really knows her stuff and I am forever truly grateful for her help.
