Experiencia negativa: I wouldn't recommend this place. My husband came home weaker and with bed sores which he previously did not have. His call button was continously ignored and on top of that, personal property went missing and of course no one knew anything. Crucial information was not provided at the time of discharge which then delayed further medical care. I'm extremely disappointed in this place and regret having him admitted here.

Experiencia positiva: Need more cleaning in patients room ., bathrooms were dirty, staff is very professional and stayed in communication for my mothers stay we us, very informative throughout the stayed I even had a conference call since I stay outside of Brownsville.. mother was not comfortable with the dirty room & bathroom, it truly lacks cleanliness . Nursing staff & office staff was excellent !!

Experiencia negativa: The worst place in to stay, always short on staff, especially at night, night employees talking whole night, worst no air conditioning the worst, and alot coachroches every where so nasty, I won't suggest it, please don't stay there, go to other places

Experiencia fantástica: The staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and care. They were not only attentive but also compassionate. Special mention to the wound care nurse who is not only very helpful but with his expert care combined with a compassionate and patient-centered approach reduced our anxiety. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Communication with the staff was excellent. This level of transparency and communication gave us peace of mind. Overall, I highly recommend Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to anyone looking for a caring and professional environment.

Experiencia fantástica: My aunt just celebrated a year living in the Alzheimer’s unit. I am extremely happy for their commitment and compassion they have shown. From positive care team meetings, follow- up phone calls to my concerns from Veronica, RN to genuine care from the CNA’s is above excellence. My aunt’s happiness and safety is a priority. Experiencia negativa: Spent 3 weeks here. Horrible way to spend a retirement. Nearly impossible to sleep. You're put in a room with a 'roommate'. Mine almost never slept and needed incessant help from the nurses who mostly all talk loud enough to wake the dead. There's no sound proofing in the walls and you can't close the door to your room to block out the racket in the halls. It's like being in an insane asylum with psychos rolling around the halls screaming, bawling and howling at ALL hours of the day. Sleep is second only to breathing and water as a vital need for human health and it's something they couldn't care less about, so the idea that they are nursing anybody back to health is bogus. The fitness center is locked unless a therapist takes you in for a 30min therapy session and you're not allowed to go outside so you spend your life virtually locked indoors. Sunlight is another important need for human health and they also don't care about that. Your personal effects are confiscated upon arrival and not secured, so when you leave, you may get all, some or none of your stuff back depending on which nurses might want your belongings for themselves.

Experiencia fantástica: If a family member needed nursing service, without hesitation I would contact Brownsville Nursing & Rehabilitation center. The staff are extremely caring and compassionate. I work with Yesenia Fuentes BSW/Social Services Director providing residents with custom medical equipment. I admire her passion when it comes to patient care. Her patient follow up is outstanding. The facility is well kept and clean. The patients rooms are maintained well. The therapy gym is top notch. I highly recommend this facility.

Experiencia negativa: Mom has been there for two months and it has not been a good place. They only have 2 cnas at night and they are short staffed is what we are told. Their dining room is always dirty with food on the floor and tables. I am nervous of falling in there due to the filth. Activities aren't good. Spoke to Antonio and it was supposed to be taken care of our issues and nothing happened.

Experiencia fantástica: My aunt is currently a resident at Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation and I can’t say enough about the entire experience thus far. The facility is extremely clean, from the moment you walk in the building it’s clean and has the aroma of a welcoming home. The entire care team goes above and beyond. The administrator, Mr. Campos has been a blessing to my family as we work on certain financial needs for my aunt to continue the stay. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the case management, social services and wound care team that is providing care for my aunt as well and they have all been extremely helpful and communicative. I observed the nursing care with my aunt and she adores them which speaks volumes to me. When my aunt requested something, the nursing team helped her in a timely manner and treated her with compassion. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in the Brownsville Texas area that requires skilled or long term care.

Experiencia fantástica: The Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is an outstanding, caring and well organized facility. The Admissions director, Sally Villarreal, and the office manager answered all of my questions. All of the nursing staff, certified nurse assistants and Doctors are knowledgeable, informative and friendly. The physical therapists provided excellent service & made the activities fun & engaging. Ms. Fuentes, Social Services, inquired on my wellbeing as well. I’d like to also compliment the kitchen staff, meal planner & the chef/cook for the delicious meals prepared.

Experiencia negativa: This is nursing home has the worst care ever. I do not recommend placing your loved one here. Under staffed 1 nurse per 20 to 30 patients. I entrusted them to care for my uncle they refused to take him to the hospital would leave him alone lying down on the horrible beds they had all day and night. If I hadn't removed him from there him would have passed on please do your homework before placingyour loved one here.

But, If & When they, decideTo ,One is tranfered to the Nurses Station, But They Never Answer The Phone! Nor do they Return Ir phone Call! Lack of Rosponsibility & Communication! This place & Its Employees R Very Unprofessional! It's Trerrible place! & I Regret placing my Mother there!!! The Worst Place! I have Encountered!

Experiencia positiva: Definitely understaff… did complain twice about my father not being move in different angles (half of his body is paralyzed) which can lead to bed sores. He only lasted one week . They found him unconscious( vomit went in to his lungs) he also developed a UTI which resulted to kidney failure .. valley regional let us know he went into septic shock and he coded twice . Lost my father that night. My respect to the therapist they did an amazing job with my dad sadly he only lasted a week. As far as the nurses, rude. RIP margarito gonzalez

Experiencia fantástica: My husband was sent by his PCP Dr. Guevara to Brownsville Nursing and Rehab Center on Saturday June 3, 2023. He is being discharged from the facility today, June 6, 2023. I want to express my thanks to everyone (all the staff) that assisted my husband during his stay here. They were very helpful and very pleasant in my dealings with them.. I did have one issue regarding his room being super cold but this was resolved the same day I brought this to their attention. Again our most sincere thanks to each and everyone for providing excellent care to my husband!!!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband is at this nursing home. All the nurses are wonderful when caring for my husband. But there's one nurse that I like to recognize for her hard work and dedication that she has in caring for my husband. If there is any concerns she is on it right away. Experiencia negativa: There’s one individual nurse, CNA, something. I haven’t found out the name yet, but I hope soon I do for repercussions. When no one was around, this individual walked into my loved ones room and degraded her by calling her names and completely disregarding her health and well being while in this disgusting facility. There is no doubt that this kind of treatment goes on with other patients being “cared for”. One star is an amazing rating for this place. I hope people with loved ones here keep an eye on them and ask questions about their day to day.

Experiencia fantástica: My aunt was at this rehab center for 2 weeks and the staff were very attentive and made sure that all of my aunts needs were met. All our questions and concerns were addressed being it was our first time with a nursing home experience. I couldn’t be more thankful.
