After Jan’s extensive cervical fusion in August (2nd in 4 years) we had the option of admitting him to a rehab facility for 2-3 weeks or trying home PT/OT with PBT. WE ARE SO GLAD WE CHOSE PETKOV!! Slava (PT) & Becky (OT) have been wonderfully therapeutic for Jan both physically and emotionally. Rumy was essential in the monitoring of Jan’s progress and the “go to person” for everything from referral to a professional for installation of a safety grab bar for our shower to providing PT/OT progress notes for a smooth transition in the next step in Jan’s treatment. All 3 celebrated Jan’s progress with us every step of the way. Slava’s personality is a perfect mix of friendly, helpful and encouraging and Becky’s exuberance mixed with gentle toughness and good humor helped Jan progress quickly but safely to his current out-patient therapy status. Both were involved in ensuring the safety of our home as part of the therapy program. Their combined training, commitment and compassion have meant so much to us both! My husband was discharged from an acute rehabilitation center and when he came home he couldn’t even sit up on his own, walk or feed himself. I was panicking on if we made the right choice to come home. As soon as our therapists Paulina and Becky started coming to our house, I knew we were in good hands! He was discharged from home so much stronger, able to walk and eat on his own. He has made giant strides and is in a great position to start outpatient therapy! Experiencia fantástica: "Real-Life Super Hero!!!" Rumy made what I thought would be impossible a reality: renewed mobility and improved health!! I had multiple hospital stays which left me essentially bed-bound, when just months prior, I'd been up and active with minimal mobility issues due to prior knee arthritis. I tried an in-patient PT/rehab facility but came home unfortunately still largely unable to function in terms of independent mobility and essentially confined to a wheelchair to move about the home, so, I searched for an in-home provider that could provide a more patient-focused and expert experience, and, thankfully, I found Rumy! Rumy is patient, kind, understands any special needs of elderly patients, and an all-around genuinely amazing medical professional. Rumy had a process to follow to safely and effectively rehab in 'stages' vs. something that was so hard I couldn't physically do it, but not so easy that it didn't challenge my body/abilities safely. Without this specialized process and technique, I'm confident my legs/knees etc would not have been strong enough to gain any mobility back: Rumy knew EXACTLY what needed to be done and he was absolutely correct! My daughter, my now in-home CareGiver, and I, consider Rumy our hero and friend, because without his help, I would have likely ended up back in a hospital from the impacts of being bed-bound and losing muscle and bone strength, etc. We're looking forward to the continued overall health improvements we have already experienced and will continue to build upon! Experiencia fantástica: I had an amazing physical therapist named Dillan. He came to the house for the PT sessions since I cannot drive right now. He helped me strengthen my legs and arms. I had a fracture in my back and he was careful not to give me any exercises that would worsen my back. We decided that for now he has done as much as he can. I need to keep on doing the exercises. I will probably need to have him come back after I have my procedure but that’s a few months away right now. And I definitely will ask for Dillan again if I need more physical therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: I was scheduled for knee surgery Dec 14. I was fortunate to find Petkov Bodywork Therapy a month before the surgery to build up my legs n core. Mr. Petkov came into my home before n after surgery. My surgeon couldn’t believe the results 6 weeks after surgery and praised both of us. I am getting my life back to doing the things I like to do. I have been riding my stationary bike for 3 weeks now, shopping and start golfing tomorrow. Water aerobics next as soon as it warms up some. Struggling to find an at home therapy through my insurance I finally convinced them to let me use this out-of-network therapist. Please don’t give up if you face the same challenges! I was impressed after the first visit already. Rumy, the owner, performed some very helpful adjustments to my equipment, and showed me some good exercises. The next sessions I was working with Kristin, his therapist, and what a blessing she has been! Caring and professional, always on time, and so pleasant to work with. Experiencia fantástica: Rumy did in One session ,what the therapist at a Re Hab In Peoria az could not do in several weeks. On his first day, Rumy had Richard out of his wheel chair, and walking back and forth down a long hallway in a walker. After Rumy left, Rich walked around his small living room without any help (no walker).. Re hab only let Rich walk aprx 10 minutes 4-5 days a week. They had him scheduled for 30 minutes a day, but wouldn't let him walk more than a few minutes. Lake Pleasant was not a good place for him to be. They did not help him at all. I am really glad that I found Rumy.

As a patient with orthopedic trauma surgery, I did not have the option of going to an outpatient PT clinic not to mention my flight of 15 stairs. I googled ' mobile PT' and spoke with different providers. I chose to go with Petkov because Rumy( head provider) was very kind, caring and patient in explaining my option with service insurance etc . Fast-forward, within 3 days my in home PT service started. I received the best care from Dr Paulina W. She is a kind, considerate, adaptive and caring provider. Within few weeks into outsession, I was comfortable, confident and able to stand and walk. Even my surgeon was surprised at the progress I made insuch a short period of time. I believe it was the patience and help from Paulina that helped me build the confidence to challenge my self. I am forever grateful to Paulina and Rumy for helping me regain mobility again. The exercises are specific to my needs. He made sure I understood correct form and that I'd be able to continue my routine after therapy ended. Experiencia fantástica: I had a very good experience with Petkov Body Therapy. My daughter made many calls to find a physical therapist to come to the home. She contacted this company on a weekend and the owner Rumy answered almost immediately with the result in home therapy started in a timely fashion. I was very pleased with Alyssinn the therapist who explained the exercises and put me through the paces. In a very short time she took me from a wet noodle to someone who can go up and down steps. I am not back to where I was before spending 26 days in the hospital from Covid complications but I am well on the way. My one terrible visit to the therapy center that was recommended by my doctor showed me I desperately needed to work with someone at home. Experiencia fantástica: Rumy Petkov has been my therapist for both pre and post op spinal fusion. I had a surgical complication which caused nerve damage and weakness in my left foot and ankle. His in home visits plus exercises on my own aided me in preparation for surgery and are now helping me regain left side strength, balance, overall body fitness plus encourage nerve regeneration. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and will give you individualized care.

I cannot say enough positive things about his skill and ability to work with difficult cases and circumstances. At the end of May 2021, my mother underwent emergency hip repair surgery at Abrazo Hospital. Due to her advanced dementia and recent surgery, it is extremely difficult to transport her for weekly OT and PT treatments away from her facility. We absolutely needed a mobile therapist that would come to her memory care facility and be open to working with a dementia patient. We thought it would be an easy find. It is not! I researched OTs/PTs in the Phoenix/Glendale/Peoria area and was incredibly lucky to find Rumy. I phoned him and he immediately called me back, explained his services, the insurance issues, and most importantly, said he could and would be happy to help us. My mother has been working with Rumy for several months now on strength training from her bed or wheelchair, range of motion, cognitive stimulation, and overall assessments of her condition and other medical issues we may need to be aware of. He is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, responsive, patient, and loves what he is doing. We couldn't have made it through the last few months without his professional experience and support. OT and PT work for dementia patients is vitally important whether they are recovering from surgery or need to learn how to navigate their surroundings. Experiencia fantástica: Rumy is a very compassionate and caring occupational therapist. I fractured my tibia in January and I was in boot cast for 8 weeks. My ortho doc told me that it is up to me to get any therapy but he did not think I needed it. I went two months trying to manage on my own but my pain and range of motion of the affected foot lead to pain and compensation of good side as it was hurting. Rumy helped me back to my normal activities of daily living and helped me attain my full range of motion within two months. I am a healthcare provider myself and I will definitely be referring my patients to him based on the service, experience, and care I received. I highly recommend Petkov Therapy.

He has helped build up the confidence and strength in my husband since he experienced a fall back in October, 2020. Rumy is very professional with his appointments, always on time and is very flexible with accommodating your schedule. Experiencia fantástica: My mother who is 88 broke her femur in May 2020. Rumy was her physical therapist who worked to get her back to walking again. He always showed up on time and my mother always looked forward to his visits. He was always cheerful, polite and supportive while challenging my mother to consistently progress. Rumy guided us through every step of the recovery process. He helped her strengthen her leg, then transitioned her from a wheelchair to a walker. Finally, he was able to get her walking without any assistance. With Rumy’s help my mother is now back to her normal daily routine. She even helps us with our cleaning. When treatment started, my dad was fairly weak and unable to rise from a wheelchair without assistance. He now has the confidence to move around in a walker! This is a huge improvement and a big morale booster for my dad. Another plus is Rumy’s personality. My dad thoroughly enjoys his therapy sessions! We would absolutely recommend Petkov Bodywork Therapy for elderly or recovering patients. His therapy was life changing for my father.

Experiencia fantástica: Before seeing Rumy, I had unbearable bad back pain. Now, it is manageable (and for a few days after a session, it is nonexistent). I am not a huge fan of massages, but Rumy is very professional and makes sure that you are comfortable the entire time. He really knows his craft and employs different methods to fix problem areas. Additionally, he even gives you numerous tips to help reduce pain outside of the treatment sessions. He is consistently flexible in scheduling and, for his knowledge level, probably undercharging.
