I had a bunion ectonomy on both feet, spent 2 months staying home, my feet forgot too many of regular moves such as standing on tiptoes, wearing heels and even keeping my foot straight when walking. My doctor suggested couple of places in Mission Valley neighborhood and lucky me I came to Select Physical Therapy! My doctor did amazing job! Elijah was very professional and helped me a lot through all my recovery period! There is was the days when I want it to give up, when I was in pain and ready to cry he was the one to believe in me! Thank you so much guys for all hard work you have done! Now I’m back to my regular life! I can finally go to the gym, I can run and wear heels again! You are amazing! ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: Elijah Morin is 5 star physical therapist! He knows his job well and teaches me about how our bones are made up and why they cause certain pains I'm experiencing. It's my second session for my foot and I already feel the improvement. He makes you feel comfortable while doing the sessions because he explains in detail what the exercises are targeting and his personality is very positive & funny. I never thought I would say I enjoy coming to physical therapy. I recommend this facility for anyone in need of physical therapy - REQUEST ELIJAH.

Amanda stretched me out and Garret had me do exercises that will remedy my arthritic hip and sore knee. They really know their stuff. It's a very pleasant/fun atmosphere, and I felt great after my workout. Can't wait until next week.

Experiencia fantástica: Amanda is a gifted PT therapist who has a vast knowledge of how to deal with chronic neck pain and tightness along the base of the skull. She is impeccably professional, very caring and does an amazing job massaging and using manual traction as well as traction on a portable machine. Her care and skill are most effective and are extensive and very impressive. The exercises to strengthen and stretch the muscles were supervised by David a competent assistant. He is to be complimented for his help and for his guidance to make sure they are done correctly. Hats off to all the staff for their care – each of you works well as individuals and as a team - keep up the good work.

Experiencia fantástica: The Physical Therapist, Elijah, is excellent. Explains things clearly, answers questions, encourages me to work hard but balances my tendency to overdo. Really feel the staff here KNOW their stuff, watch how clients perform exercises, and make necessary corrections. They are NOT just going through the motions. Also when Elijah performs manual muscle manipulation, I can tell he's following the contours of the muscle or ligament; not just a manipulation of the general area. Lastly, Chelsea (the administrative receptionist) is efficient, patient, and dogged when working with insurance companies!

Experiencia fantástica: I've had a shoulder injury/issue for the past 10 years, as well as hip/lower back pain that came from alignment issues. I've seen multiple physical therapist for my shoulder but never got any real results until I started coming to Select Physical Therapy. My hip issues are almost non existent now and my hips have been able to stay in alignment instead of falling out of alignment between sessions, like they did when I was seeing the chiropractor. My shoulder is better than it has been in year. There are ups and downs, but the overall progression has been great. I don't live in constant pain like I used to, and I have many tools to help myself when it does act up. Also, most physical therapist I have seen focused solely on the shoulder, but my therapist has addressed other areas, like my upper back and my chest, where years of using muscles wrong caused me to twist and have other issues I didn't even know about. She is addressing ALL of my issues as we go. I see Chelsea and think she is amazing (can't say thank you enough to someone for helping give back your quality of life) but I've also seen almost every other therapist there at one point or another and you truly cannot go wrong, no matter who you see. Also, the whole support staff is amazing. I can't speak highly enough of this location and therapist. As someone that deals with chronic pain, having someone (or a group) that can decrease a good amount of that pain means opening up doors for what I can actually do in life, it means less sitting on the couch and more actually going out and participating in life.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had horrible experiences with physical therapy starting with being a collegiate athlete. Since then, when I have an injury and a doctor recommended physical therapy I have just ignored the recommendation. My injury this time around couldn’t be ignored so I scheduled a PT appointment with select physical therapy. Alex was professional and knowledgeable. He was able to access the injury and actually provided relief. I’m very active and my hamstring injury has basically sidelined me for triathlon training. With just a two sessions I feeling so much better. I will admit I’m not a great patient, but I committed and did the exercises prescribed and....wow. I am actually feeling hopeful that I can get back to being active without pain. I highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: A great staff, knowledgeable and experienced. This is my second time with Select PT. What is amazing is how quickly my body reacts to their skilled sessions. Exercises that seem too light to have any effect, bring about changes in just days. I'm suffering with golfers elbow that is a result of a serious injury and surgery from years prior. I am beginning to get movement and improvement in range of motion due to my sessions with Brittany in a very short time. This may even improve my golf swing! One can hope, anyway.

I go to the Mission Valley clinic where Chelsea has been working with me for the last couple of months on a lower back issue I've been battling for almost a year. I tried chiropractic but that only have me (very) temporary relief. I finally decided it was time to step it up and try PT and I'm so glad I did! With Chelsea's help (and her whole MV team), my back is feeling much better and I see light at the end of the tunnel! I am not good at holding myself to things like exercise and stretches but these guys have a great app for the exercises that really helps, and being able to use the clinic equipment after each session really helps with keeping myself on track too.

Experiencia fantástica: Very warm & welcoming staff. Chelsea is very knowledgeable which keeps me at ease. Her & her aids have been extremely kind and helpful, always listening w/an open ear and taking everything I say into consideration. I broke both sides of my right ankle on Sept 21st, 2020, requiring surgery. My first visit to Select Pt I could barely wiggle my big toe let alone walk, which was really scary, but w// the help of Chelsea and her team I'm weight bearing now! I am very pleased with my progress in such a short amount of time. I couldn't be in better hands.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to Select PT for various different issues, and have been a regular patient for about a year now. The front desk staff are friendly, helpful, and patient with everyone who comes through. They have always helped me with any requests for records or insurance information, and now that I am a cash-pay client (it is *well* worth it to go here instead of my Kaiser-covered PT which was not even half as good) they explained everything to me so that I knew exactly how the process worked. For my actual therapy, I have worked with both Eddie and Rachel and they are both attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly know their stuff. Eddie carefully reviewed the specific protocols from my surgeon and has been helping me get back to my old self post-surgery. I appreciate that he always has good advice when I am concerned about something, and that he is patient when explaining things. All of the PT assistants are also fantastic, and very helpful in demonstrating exercises so that they are done properly. The most drastic difference between Select and other PT places I have gone is that they have a much stronger focus on physical manipulation/massage which I have felt has made a huge difference in my progress, combined with my exercises and strength training. I don't think I'd ever go anywhere else for PT again.

Experiencia fantástica: Eddie is a great therapist! He’s straight forward and clear with treatment and expected goals. He doesn’t sugar coat. He makes sure you’re both on the same page regarding expectations. His massage treatment is very effective. It’s not the spa treatment massage! He gets on there, and works out the needed areas. You definitely feel it, but he’s so effective. I highly recommend him, and his “sweet” personality! He has a great sense of humor!

My physical therapist, Alex, has provided clear and effective treatment and clearly enjoys his job and helping his patients. The support staff is also top notch. Aides, Isaiah, Jada, Meghan and Savannah are are always ready to help and Covid safety procedures are thorough, making me feel completely safe. The receptionists and schedulers are always friendly and and welcoming also. I absolutely recommend Select, Alex, the other therapists and the entire staff. A first class operation.

My PT (Rachel) is wonderful and understanding in helping me through a long time knee injury, and the rest of the aides & staff are friendly and helpful as well. I have had a good experience and would not hesitate to recommend SPT to anyone. The space is clean, orderly and open. The entire team is amazing! The kindness and professionalism you are greeted with continues right into treatment. I’ve worked with several therapists but most recently I have been working with Alex who is skillful and knowledgeable and you couldn’t find yourself in better care with him. To assist in these challenging processes I appreciate Isaiah and his calming energy. These are kind and talented people who create a great environment to heal and they deserve to be recognized. Allie and Nicole are very helpful in coordinating my appointments and are always cheerful. My PT Rachel has helped me so much with my hips, shoulder and neck. She is very caring, competent and attentive and has taught me how to get the most out of my exercises. Megan and Daniel are very helpful in making sure I do my exercises correctly. Both are so encouraging and a joy to work with. All in all, I am having a very positive experience here at Select Physical Therapy in Mission Valley and highly recommend their services.

Experiencia fantástica: When I came into select physical therapy, I could barely walk. Now, after a couple of months I am on the road to recovery. Everyone is especially nice and helpful. Alex my PT is very knowledgeable, and has helped me dramatically. Isaac is always there to assist me with exercises. I highly recommend this facility. It is clean and well organized and the receptionists and aids are all pleasant and cheerful. You will definitely get the best care here.

Experiencia fantástica: I have endured seven musculoskeletal surgeries. I am recovering from a rotator cuff tear and reattachment surgery. I went to Select Physical Therapy for rehabilitation. The office staff was always very competent and helpful. My therapist was Dr. Chelsea Hayes, she brought me from complete immobility to full range of motion and she truly has the hands of a healer. Every session there was improvement, slowly but surely. The continuity of care was seamless. When Chelsea couldn’t see me Dr. Eduardo Garcia (Eddie) kept up the pace. The atmosphere was comforting and supportive. I felt safe because Megan, Isaiah, Jada, and Savanna, when not monitoring my exercising, were sanitizing everything that was touched by anyone. I would not hesitate to recommend or use these professionals again.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to Select PT for the past 7 weeks as I’ve been rehabbing my broken elbow. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Chelsea is my physical therapist and she truly cares about her patients. She is constantly making sure I keep up with my exercises at home and she is very careful and diligent when working on my arm in the clinic. The aides at the clinic, Daniel and Michael, are also very friendly and helpful when doing exercises. All in all, the staff is keen on making sure that you are getting better in the right ways while maintaining a friendly environment. My elbow has gotten so much better since I started going to Select PT! Stop waiting and let them fix you!

They work with me and my insurance company to allocate time to treat my injured almost instantly. I was assigned Eduardo “Eddie” Garcia, an amazing specialist that tooled the time to explain the cause of the injury and explain the process of recuperation. I been 4 of the 5 session and I feel 100% better. The staff in general had help enormously. Thank you for a great services and an amazing collaboration.

Having had three back surgeries and a hip replacement at just 53, I’ve certainly had my share of ailments! Each time I have seen Rachel Hever who is a talented, caring therapist. The assistants, Michael, Daniel and others are very knowledgeable and attentive to clients as well. It’s a very upbeat environment where it’s evident that everyone enjoys their job. It’s not the closest PT place to me, but it’s worth the drive. I’ll never go any place else!

Everyone there is so friendly, exceptionally competent, very patient, and extremely compassionate. My hand therapist, Jodi, is particularly fantastic; I was losing hope for healing, but she has patiently and gently gotten things back on track and my hand is improving rapidly now (thankfully.) She's a wonderful conversationalist, also, which is nice since there is a lot of time spent doing exercises, massage, and so forth, and one can only talk about one's hand so much. I cannot recommend this facility (and especially Jodi) highly enough; they're exactly what the doctor ordered.

As my PT, Chelsea Hayes approaches her care with great diligence and empathy. Experiencia fantástica: This is by far the most caring and competent team I have experienced. Allie and Nicole are very helpful with scheduling and with insurance questions. They always greet you with a smile! Chelsea is my primary therapist. She listens to my concerns and takes a holistic approach to addressing my issues. I am getting much better results with the combination hands on therapy combined with exercise. I have also had the pleasure of working with Rachel when Chelsea was out of the office. I was very impressed with how much she knew about my case. The transition was seemless. Megan, Katie and Alysa do a great job at helping me with the exercise equipment, and keeping my focus on form. Experiencia fantástica: I recently broke my ankle, and as part of my recovery, my doctor recommended I go to Select Physical Therapy. I’d never been to pt before, and had no idea what to expect, but, it turns out I love it. Chelsea is my therapist, and she’s so warm, and engaging, and really knowledgeable. It’s a good kind of hurt when she’s working on me, and I can feel real improvement from her actions. All of the aids are equally wonderful, and you can really tell everyone who works there enjoys working together. They see a lot of patients at once, but I never feel neglected, or overlooked. I’m actually pretty impressed with how well they remember details about me- not just about my therapy details, but about me as a person. One of the things I most appreciate is how welcoming and understanding they all are about me bringing my young child to appointments with me. I’m a work at home mom, so, my baby has to come with me, and as a 6 month old, he lacks patience. I have never been made to feel like he’s a nuisance or a distraction there, and that has made the whole healing process much easier. I hope that I won’t need pt again, soon, but, at the same time, I’m going to miss seeing these people when I’m done. I can’t thank everyone at Select Physical Therapy enough!
