Experiencia fantástica: I have read the heart-breaking review of the family who lost a loved one while under the care of Sabino Canyon Rehab and Care Center. I would hate to think that is the sole impression left of the organization as I had a totally different experience as a patient. At no point did I feel neglected. Every single time I signaled for assistance, a staff member arrived within minutes, if not seconds. The occupational and physical therapy assistance I received was first-rate. And the outside patio, where one has the option to enjoy on starry nights or cool days, rivals the good memories of a home garden. I felt a personal connection with every single employee there and even met one staff member, in particular, who gave up a much better paying job because she found it much more rewarding to help people in need than to make money at Raytheon. This was a much better experience than I would have ever hoped for (OK, the food was nothing to write home about), and I would specifically request to return to this facility, if I were in need of skill nursing care. Again, I don't know the specifics of the sad review left here but I can assure you, I'm a picky, demanding patient and was amazingly and positively impressed with the care I received here. Besides, the physician who attended to me (I believe the name was Dr. Milani) spent more one-on-one time learning about me and other patients than I've ever experienced in my life, and I work at another hospital in town that is well respected. This establishment deserves your serious consideration as a good, solid rehabilitation center. I would give it an A+ and the people who work there I consider to be true professionals in anyone's world.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a resident from June 27.2014 to August 28,2914. My therapy was intense-I was a sick boy. The food was seldome a disappointment. The staff and nursing staff, with the exception of a few were the best of any facility that I had experirnced. Physical therapy from the "DANCING QUEEN" was on the mark! Occupational therapy turned me around as to its value. MARSHA MARSHA through her ingenuity explored new territory to WORK my inoperative shoulder. Its working NOW!! I hope I never need you again. If I ever need such a facility again I want YOU!! By the way I am now independent and have regained most of my strength. OUTLAW LOOK OUT> LETS DANCE!!

Experiencia fantástica: They took really good care of my mother after her hospitalization stay from a fall. She wasn't strong enough to go home so the doctor had her come to Sabino for therapy rehabilitation. Everyone did a great job and were all very kind.

Experiencia fantástica: I was at Sabino Canyon Rehabilitation for close to 3 months at the beginning of the year. Thank goodness for this place and the staff who work there. My nurses, occupational therapists, literally everyone there treated me with kindness and respect and were essential in my near full recovery from something awful. I am so grateful to them and the people there became like family to me. There are no words for how amazing my personal experience was there, except to say I would recommend this place and have to my most loved ones. The staff were positive every single day and I always felt safe, and cared for. I can't say enough about the people who work there. Great attitudes and always kept my spirits high. Top to bottom a well run facility, with caring professional people. I hope you never need their care, but, if you do, this is a fantastic place to receive care and rehabilitation. I personally will never go anywhere else if given the choice. God Bless Them!

Experiencia fantástica: My father was admitted there for rehabilitation....while there my father received excellent care and the drs. Were around to explain everything to our family...if there is a problem the staff will call you at home to tell you what occured....its an older building with small rooms but the care was first rate. I highly recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: A relative had a stay with Sabino Canyon and I would encourage anyone looking for a rehab facility to consider them as an excellent mid-town choice. Yes, the building is old and the rooms are not spacious. But what's important is that there's staff around at all times, ready to assist and work with residents. We must have interacted with more than a dozen people and everyone had a great attitude and was genuinely interested in making sure that our relative had a good stay and was working towards getting back home soon. Our experience was that staff were available when needed, came promptly when called, and---more importantly---were proactive in working with us to keep us informed and also to make sure that we had what we needed to support our relative in their rehab, medical, and day-to-day progress. We never saw cases where staff were sitting around staring at their phones or just chatting among themselves and ignoring the residents. People were constantly moving around and were helpful and genuinely interested. We had a longer and more informative discussion with the physical therapist at Sabino Canyon about our relative's needs than we had with her surgeon at TMC! Sabino Canyon may not be for everyone with every set of needs, but for rehab from hip/knee injury, we thought that they were an excellent choice.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a very close friend stay at Sabino during his recovery from a traumatic accident. Staff were very good to him and returned home a new man. From the administrator (Jaron), to Dir.of Nursing(Quinny), and CNA (Tammy), Nurses (June), (Karla), ( Tiffany) and all the staff very kind and compassionate. Thank you.

Experiencia fantástica: Sabino is a great place to work because the staff truly care about the residents. We are caring for those in a very fragile, vulnerable state and most residents and families are navigating uncharted waters and many unknowns which is a scary place to be and the staff understand this and we take it seriously. I'm proud of our staff for doing great work in the midst of difficult times. My dad was here at the beginning of the year and I wouldn't have wanted him anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: Overwhelming grateful for the care and therapy my aunt Cathy has received. Unfortunately aunt Cathy has had several hospitalizations due to her Parkinson’s progression. We have experienced not only amazing care but wonderful therapy for her Parkinson’s. Most importantly my Aunt has had several trials she’d come up against however the support received while here at Sabino was undeniably what helped her turn the corner. Samantha her discharge planner from the very beginning made us feel as if we could focus solely on being a family member and not her advocate. The rehab team really improved her mobility and nursing walked us through understanding the progression of her disease process. As a family the hardest thing is allowing someone else to care for your loved one when they are so venerable and the reality is elder care is such a vast pool of unknown needs.I can confidently say we would not only use Sabino Canyon rehab again we recommend it!

Experiencia fantástica: First off the staff are wonderful and dedicated to providing the best care. The whole staff answer call lights. The CNAs are kind and provide dignity to patients. The nurses are knowledgeable about patients and able to answer questions about care. Facility is clean and housekeeping comes every day to clean the rooms. The doctors are knowledgeable and approachable. They respond in a timely manner. RNs assess patient condition every time they arrive in the room. This facility feels like a family. They respect their patients and provide excellent care to this vulnerable population. Each patient is treated like family. They hold care conferences with the patient and family to go over their plan of care. The whole care team (social services, therapy, nursing, nutritionist), is present for these conferences. This creates focused patient care to assist for that patients treatment plan. This focused care makes a big difference for the patient. This is one of the best facilities in Tucson.

I've worked in many different types of medical establishments, and I can honestly say that the staff at Sabino really do treat patients there with respect and care. You had my mother for a month, wouldn't let me visit, and I thought for sure it was because you weren't doing anything and didn't want anyone to know what was going on. She came home today and she's walking better than she has in a very long time. I thought that my walking her every day was enough to keep her strong. I fed and feed her a cup of spinach every day to keep her muscles strong. I thought my love, would keep her strong. I don't know what you did to help her, because I wasn't allowed to be a part of it. Experiencia fantástica: I have spent the last 3 weeks at Sabino Canyon completing some on the job training and I just wanted to share some of my experiences during this time. First off, they have an established leadership team and management longevity. This is likely directly related to their onboarding process, as they really care about their staff here that allows staff to really grow roots. It's been fun to watch "sabino take care of sabino". The staff here really do care and are very knowledgeable about their patients. The physicians that round are very involved and accessible to the staff. So far I like what I'm seeing and look forward to spending more time with this team. I would highly recommend Sabino for rehab placement and/or as a potential career move.

Experiencia fantástica: I was in shock after my emergency surgery, being told I had to stay in a rehabilitation facility for 6 to 12 wks. My 1st choice was Sabino Canyon. They took me in and treated me so well. The therapist are very helpful, Warm and treat you like family. I am so glad that I am staying here. The staff act like a huge family, helping each other, with no hesitation. It was very hard on me, to be away from home and my little dogs...my constant companions. Whenever one of the Nurses or CNA noticed I was sad, they always lent me a shoulder. Cheered me up. Thanks for the awesome care, keep up the great care!!! : )

Experiencia fantástica: The PT and OT was exceptional and therapists were very good. The room was small, but I wasn't looking for 5* accommodations. I was looking for a rehab that would get me back on my feet and walking. That is what they did and more. I strongly recommend to Sabino Canyon Rehabilitation.

The therapy staff was motivating, knowledgeable and empathetic. The rest of the staff showed kindness, were friendly and caring. The facility is clean and the food was very good. Experiencia fantástica: My first visit there was Monday Feb. 4th and I was worried with all the negative google reviews. My first impression was the receptionist, she was kind and kept making sure I was ok. She even stopped what she was doing and walked out from behind the desk to offer me coffee and water while I waited. All my concerns were addressed and I was assured about all the new hires and efforts to hire the right people. I have been there several times since and the building was always clean and kept. I did notice a full team of staff who constantly greeted me with smiles and good mornings. The nurses who were taking care of my concerns were kind and personable. I would recommend giving them a chance as I had a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: I’m a current employee at Sabino and have been the past 6 years and I love working here. The environment is clean and friendly. The staff is very caring and respectful to the patients. I have witnessed on several occasions where management and staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate patients so that their stay is pleasant and comfortable. There are many patients that have returned here many times because they know they will be given great care. If I had to place my loved one in a rehab facility it would definitely be here not just because I work here but because I know first hand that the staff here are very caring people. I’ve also seen the therapy department work miracles and how happy patients have been after being rehabilitated. Seeing how patients gain their confidence back after having a hardship with their health is an amazing feeling just to see them happy. I would definitely recommend their services.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a recent client. I researched the rehabilitation centers from my room at TMC before I committed here. It was rated in the top 5 in Tucson. My stay lasted 1 month, the services I received were top notch. The staff care and make it a point to get to know and treat each patient with personal care. Physical therapy, nuring care, great kitchen and admin staff!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband has been a patient there four times for for separate illnesses. Each time the nursing care he received was wonderful and he had amazing therapists, he needed physical, occupational and speech therapy and it was all exceptional. The doctor that saw him when he was there each time (Dr. Milani) was great and caring and they even had a cardiac program. It’s an older building but they keep it clean and the care and concern we received way out weighed the age of the building. If we could give them 10 stars we would. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Their teamwork among all staff members has been so comforting and supportive for the transitioning of my mother into Long Term Healthcare. I’ve been taking care of my mother and I’m particular as to her receiving the best care to make her comfortable and maintaining the best treatment. I’d like to thank all of the people at the Sabino Canyon Rehabilitation Center for being so kind and supportive to me, too. Recently, my mother was sent to St. Joseph’s Hospital due to pneumonia and the very first day she was there, April, the lieson, visited my Mom and left a note inviting me to call them for any help and assistance that they could give me. April even signed the note, “Your Sabino Canyon Family.” That was so heartfelt and really brought a smile to my face. Honestly,I can’t say enough to tell you how wonderful Sabino Canyon Rehabilitation Center is and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of tender loving care and great treatment.
