Experiencia fantástica: I went in for a surgical procedure and my nurse Debi was amazing! Such a kind woman! I greatly appreciate her and everything she did for me!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr, Lynn Benson saved the life of my mother and my wife within the last year to year and a half. Her tireless efforts to get to the cause was why she succeeded. I had two serious illnesses myself and the staff doctors and surgery teams saved my booty.

Experiencia fantástica: It's a very good hospital. My mother was very sick and Dr. Marc Houston and his nurse Richard Andrews were very compassionate and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Added later: Early this fall I had an emergency c-section at this hospital. I was very impressed with how quickly they got me in, prepped the room, reassured me, and then the mother/baby ward took such great care of me. The room was quiet, the food was good, and I knew that if I needed something that the nurses would come and help me. It meant so much to have such care right after such a traumatic experience.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband had top-notch care. The staff were professional and caring at the same time. Absolutely everyone was friendly; that's very important when you're laid up and hurting. We were kept informed and if we had a question, the answer was found. Even as a visitor, I was treated like a welcome guest. As a bonus, the rooms are modern and large. I'd say there's nothing like the care at a smaller hospital. (BTW, it was this hospital that found my cancer 5 years ago when I didn't even suspect I was ill.)

Experiencia fantástica: My dad was taken to Albany General during the ice we had on the roads recently. It wasn't safe for the ambulance to to to Corvallis, where we were most familiar with the hospital and doctors. I was concerned after the reviews I'd read online, but was enormously impressed with the care he has received and the constant communication with his doctors and nurses. Between my different family members medical needs I have been in the caretaker position many, many times over the last 30 years and am VERY familiar with multiple hospitals. I feel my dad's care was the best he could have received for his condition. They were very on top of running every test needed, yet prudent on rushing to surgery when he likely is high risk for survival if it comes to that. They have kept me informed every step of the way and respected my wishes along with their professional opinion. All staff has treated him with care and dignity, even when his state of dementia made it pretty difficult for them. I want to thank the doctors, nurses, CNAs, therapists and all staff who are taking such good care of him.

Experiencia fantástica: The Cafe food is great. Generally low in fat and salt. The price is very decent. You may add things from the salad bar to your hot meal.Then it is simply weighed. The people that work there are very chirpy. Especially Akiko. She is so positive and her joy tends to be contagious. Then there is wes, the chaplain, who is a great listener, who is willing to help with any problems any of us may be having. Wow food for the body, mind, emotions and soul.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an amazing experience with my nursing staff in labor and delivery. The service is great. Food is good. The specialist and doctors are great too. Not to mention Samaritan health has an amazing repayment plan and or if you qualify and you're going through stuff, they can waive your bill or give you a certain percentage off. Really really impressed. Thank you

Constantly thinking how Entitled they are and their illness is more important than others - especially those who comment about the ER. ER is for for EMERGENCIES! All of the comments I've read for the ER cases should have gone to Urgent Care at the most!!

Experiencia fantástica: Recent surgery 11/17/23 at the short stay and I am absolutely amazed at how kind, understanding and personable the staff is. My favorite was Diane, she had to perform what you would call a different kind of strange request from Dr G and her care and warmness made the situation so much more bearable. I wish I could send a personal note to her boss, I hope they see this. You have one awesome nurse!!

Experiencia fantástica: Oh my gosh. Everyone here took such good care of my daughter. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and patient. They made sure we had what we needed to get her feeling better and took their time to explain everything and make sure she was doing better. They are amazing.

They were attentive towards me, and very polite. Most of the nurses there are cross trained, so that’s pretty awesome. I only have nothing but good things to say about this hospital and their staff. Experiencia fantástica: After accidentally falling from a second story window I was transported immediately by medics- big shout out to the night shift crew and doctor that quickly stabilized me and lifeflighted me to Portland where I spent weeks recovering. You are all heroes and don’t get acknowledged enough for your hard work- thank you!

Spent alot of time with us explaining everything and being super supportive...even came in on his day off to check on us.very good to us .and The nurse Gabby was amazing also ..you can tell they truly care .they have been amazing support ppl.very informative .thank you for being so helpful

You employ the most qualified people in the medical field. Thank you for all you did for me.

Experiencia fantástica: Recent surgery and over night stay was amazing. I stayed on the maternity ward and was treated so kindly by all staff I came In contact with. All of the nurses where very compassionate and helpful. Very accommodating. The most comfortable stay I have ever had.

Experiencia fantástica: Physical therapist Peter Spaulding is a fantastic asset to the hospital. He truly is passionate about his work, and that motivates me to do more and be better. He pushes me just enough to heal but not too much to hurt. I truly to account all of my progress to him. He's modest and would say it's all me, but I am going to walk again soon all thanks to Mr. Spaulding. Great guy. Love working with him.

Experiencia fantástica: Had to be brought in after giving birth at home due to hemorrhaging and the labor and delivery ward and personnel are absolutely amazing. They treated me quickly and were kind and compassionate. I can't speak for the rest of the hospital as I have no experience with them but for future children I would definitely go there.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to this hospital to have a surgery to reduce and remove a stone in my Bladder. EVERY staff member was Informative, Professional, Reassuring and VERY Kind & Understanding. I am impressed with how patient and considerate any and every Staff Member that worked with me have been; Starting with the kindness of the Receptionists and extended through all the staff members, very much including Dr.Crane. This is the best experience I have ever had with a hospital in my entire life. I have a LOT of respect for the staff members of Samaritin Albany General Hospital & The Surgery Center. Also, this hospital was immaculately clean and very well maintained, I am impressed :-)

Experiencia fantástica: Great people, very knowledgeable and caring. Our experience was excellent. The waiting area was very comfortable and spacious. There were lots of places to sit, watch tv, or use a device. Battery low? No problem. Lots of places to plug in your device.

The nurses, X-ray tech and doctor took their time with me, we’re very thorough and compassionate and warm! They were also very accommodating to my husband. They were great at explaining things to us and giving us discharge instructions. I definitely recommend this hospital!

Experiencia fantástica: Took me almost 5 years to remember to make this review but my son was born here in may 2016 and the care team noticed within minutes of him being born that his breathing was not right. He was breathing but they noticed something very subtle that ended up saving his life. They recognized that he had air pockets on his lungs, something that is uncommon and in my opinion it was hard to tell there was anything wrong at all. They did not wait to make the call that they needed to transfer my son to a NICU. They saved his life by giving him the absolute best care they could while he was there. They tried to take very good care of me as well but when the time came that I needed to leave to be with my son, they let me do so, even though I was going against their word due to just having an epidural. I thank their whole labor and delivery team for my sons life. I have an almost 5 year old that easily could have not made it but did because of the attentive staff at this facility. I am grateful every single day

Experiencia fantástica: When I spoke of the care God provided for me, especially this last week, I forgot to mention that I was blessed and impressed by the level of care, compassion and kindness provided to me by some of today's young people. First off, the two young men at Winco who took the time and effort to unload, check, bag, reload and then transfer my groceries to my car. Then there were the young fireman and paramedics that assisted in caring for and getting me to the hospital. Once there, I was surrounded by young people concerned with my wellbeing that were elated and excited when the medication started working. I am so appreciative of each one who played a vital role in God's plan for me. Then there are MY young nurses, assigned one on one care of me. I and my life was of value to them as if I were an endeared relative seeking their care. I must say I met some amazing human beings during all of this and will always be grateful to have been treated in a manner that showed the value they place on the life of another as opposed to just being present another day at their JOB. I could stay they restored my faith in humankind, however that is a saying, and my faith is in and belongs to God. Let's just say, even in this crazy world, goodness and kindness abound. Just keep and never quit looking.

Experiencia fantástica: A couple of weeks ago, I had a partial knee replacement at Samaritan Albany General Hospital. I was very impressed with how everything went so smoothly, from the time I checked in, to my discharge. Everyone was very professional, organized and friendly. The anesthesiologist Robbie (I believe that was his name), was the BEST I have ever had. All the nurses, staff and Misty on the 3rd floor (Joint Replacement Team ) were absolutely fantastic. They even had a bouquet of flowers waiting for me after surgery in my own private room with a view! The Physical Therapist Mitch was also very nice and caring. The food was delicious and kitchen staff were also great. Keep up the EXCELLENT work you do! Thank you again for a wonderful experience, Annette R. : )

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone I dealt with during my mother's stay at Albany General was helpful and courteous. I arrived very late at night to visit her in the Critical Care Unit and was promptly shown where to go; every question I had was answered, every request was satisfied to the best of the staff's ability. I could mention many but of particular merit were Chelsea and Paige.

Experiencia fantástica: No one wants to stay in the hospital but I wouldn't pick any other hospital to be admitted to 4 times in the past 6 months. The nurses, CNA's, doctors, housekeeping staff, dietary staff, CT staff, radiology staff, and the countless other staff members that keep things running smoothly are simply amazing! Shout out to a few....RN Dave, RN Shelley, RN Holly and Dr. Kennedy! You all have helped me in so many ways! Thank you ALL for everything!
