For the first month I was there three times a week and then the second month tapered to once a week. The front desk person, Elizabeth was both efficient and kind, but she was transferred to another RPT facility and her replacements were equally welcoming. In short, all the staff were nice. The director of RPT, Carmen is fantastic! I arrived with multiple problems related to osteophytes in the cervical region of my spine which translated into neck stiffness and pain, extreme weakness and pain in both shoulders and arms and right hand; weakness and pain in both legs and I walked with difficulty. To complete the picture, I also had low back pain. The first thing Carmen did was a thorough examination of my problems and took measurements, then designed a program that included physiological education explaining the problems, paired with an exercise program that included “homework” exercises to correct address and reduce the problem. Carmen is a sincerely caring person, knowledgeable and efficient in “Hands-on techniques” She used different manual therapies in manipulating the pelvic floor muscles to restore strength and function; neck massage and manual, cervical traction; all these paired with personalized exercises performed at the clinic and at home daily. The exercises were printed, and I through access to their website. As a director, she had to oversee the operation of the Clinic while attending to multiple clients. She cared deeply about my progress and despite her workload, I never felt unattended. The facility is well equipped and exceptionally well maintained. Of most importance, after the care given me by Carmen, I can now walk without difficulty, I can get up from the floor by myself; I have complete movement of my head. Based on the home exercise program designed for me by Carmen improvement continues.
