They push you to stretch but not beyond what you can do at a given point. I highly recommend Pivot, especially Annette and Michael, the therapists I work with.

Experiencia fantástica: I am impressed with Pivot Asheville. My therapists are Michael Abbas and Michael Hynson.I get individual attention in a private room for most exercises. They listen. Communication is very good. They give me exercises that I can tolerate well. I have a good home program. They will help me get ready for knee surgery in the near future. This is an excellent place.

Experiencia fantástica: The PTs there are engaging, good listeners and really good body detective work and restoration. I've had Mike, Mike and Amira. They have been expert at *expanding* my comfort zone as I recover from neck issues. Because of their work with me, I am healing and restoring strength, flexibility and absence of pain. I've gone from a 7-8 pain to a 2-3 in two weeks. Ten years ago they helped me with my lower back and gave me exercises and stretches to do and I have had NO RECURRENCE of those issues. I went from a 9-10 in pain to a 4 very quickly and am now at a 1 with a 3 on my worst days.

It has been a slight problem for years and I tolerated it. Not a good idea as a fall or bone fracture would be worse. I am looking forward to the 2nd visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Donald is extremely knowledgeable about the musculoskeletal system, and very good at what he does. One dry needling session pretty much cleared up my shoulder pain from a 2 year old MTB injury.

Experiencia fantástica: The therapist very carefully explained what a torn rotator cuff was, and what the likely future would look like! There were two options: exercise or surgery! Both involve long physical therapy involving exercise to restore muscles or strengthen the muscles in place. The therapist taught me exercises to do for strengthening and I’m getting better every day! While surgery is still an option, I’m becoming convinced that exercise alone may do just fine! This isn’t an easy fix, but surgery isn’t either! Both require work on my part! It’s fun seeing small improvements every week, though. First rate information from all involved! The front line staff has always been friendly and helpful and both therapists that I've seen are super thorough and experienced. I see Amira the most and I can't say enough positive things about her! She welcomes you with a smile, listens to all of your updates and concerns, physically attends to your pressing issues, and then develops a plan with you for your at home work.

Experiencia fantástica: My primary referred me to Pivot because I was having excruciating pains in my right hip and my back. My PTA, Michael Abbas, said that I have arthritis in my hips. X-rays confirmed this. I have since had hip replacement surgery and am now back at Pivot for post surgery therapy. The whole crew - Annette, Michael, Mike and Jodie are the best !!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have worked extensively with the folks at Pivot when I had a humoral fracture of my right (dominant) arm and then again when I had some weird sciatic nerve pain in my lower left leg. Michael Root worked with me for several months using massage and arm exercises and got me back to a normal active life again. He and Donald Brown performed another "miracle" when they were able to totally rid me of my sciatic nerve pain through massage, dry needling, and manipulation. I cannot speak highly enough about the outstanding care I have received at Pivot, from the great trainers who know what they are doing to the wonderful support staff (Jody and Christina) who greet you at the door and take care of the business end of care!

I came to Pivot P.T. back in March 2020, with a surgically repaired, full thickness, stage 3, right RTC work related injury, supra and infra tendons involved. This injury was going to take some time....I've been having regular P.T. appointments at this location since March. Mike Root did my initial evaluation, after that, Mike Root and Mike Abbas both helped to get me back to the range of motion I am usually accustom to. I'm hyper mobile, and I was not sure this was even going to happen at first. I had a therapy session with Anette Dupont, she is also well versed. Having been a P.T. Tech myself, for six of my fifty-five years, having a decent fund of knowledge regarding Physical Therapy, as well as a wealth of fascination with interior anatomy, it was as though we all spoke the same language. These people know their P.T. They continued to challenge me, to challenge the shoulder in question, having done so has given me back my hyper-mobility. Above all this, every one from office to therapist are kind, courteous, helpful, professional sympathetic, empathetic and encouraging. Because of the length of time for this injury to heal, I feel as though the staff at Pivot P.T. have become family in a sense, and for this I am greatful. Highly recommend Pivot Physical Therapy. Experiencia fantástica: I have received excellent physical therapy at PIVOT (formerly known as Mountain Physical Therapy) for years for my various issues. Amira Ranney in particular is a marvel of a PT, a miracle worker. Professional and friendly, she is totally dedicated to the improvement of her patients. I've also worked with Michael Abbas and was very impressed. As I age and have more aches and pains, I find that I would be lost without this group of highly skilled people, including the receptionists, who expertly juggle appointment times so that everyone can be seen at the proper intervals. I highly recommend the Asheville office of PIVOT Physical Therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: I'll recommend Pivot Physical Therapy without hesitation. Having experienced more than my fair share of injuries over the years, I’ve seen therapists at physician operated practices and those recommended by my doctors. However, with more serious issues I always use Amira Ranney, who owned the practice on Southside Ave prior to its acquisition by Pivot. Amira is easily the most knowledgeable PT I’ve ever used, and she’s helped me recover from two back surgeries, two hip replacements, elbow and shoulder tendinosis, arthritis, and the long-term aftereffects of car and motorcycle accidents. She is thorough in her diagnostic process, creative and aggressive with her treatments, and constantly teaching those around her. I’ve recommended Amira and Pivot to many of my friends over the years; however, I’ve also been helped by other therapists at Pivot. In fact, Michael Root administered a dry needling session earlier today. All of the therapists I've seen at Pivot provide quality care, and you can count on being their focus for the entirety of each session. This is not what I always experienced at other providers. I could not recommend Amira and Pivot more highly.
