Ashley Melton is the best, she listens to me and then starts her evaluation and asks questions. One week with her and I’m already seeing a difference in my horse riding and keeping my posture. Experiencia fantástica: When I first came to Innova, I was open to a good experience, but I had no idea just how transformative their treatment would be. I worked with Brett. Unsure of the "correct" medical language for things, I awkwardly laid out my problem. He was great! Understanding my fumbled language, he patiently asked me questions about my movement life and bodily idiosyncrasies. It was easy to feel comfortable. Jotting down notes, he began asking me leading questions i.e. "when you do x, is your pain y?" He had already figured out, more or less, my issue. Next came a series of treatments. Some practical, others novel, and all effective. Because I actually heal from Brett's guidance, I don't visit Innova frequently. However, when I do, I leave feeling stronger and more free in my body. Bret listened to my history and was thorough in his examination. He helped connect the dots for my complex situation. Bret is communicative and he clearly explained the dysfunction and his treatment approach. I’m amazed to see how quickly and accurately he spots the problem area and develops a holistic treatment and home exercise program. My home exercises have empowered me to manage minor flareups, and I’m grateful for that. I’ve gained a lot of confidence in the process. I'm still being treated and so far, his treatment has helped with pain reduction and increased my range of motion (which is a big win for my condition). Melisa is so fantastic to work with at the front desk. She is kind, patient and helpful. I’m pretty sure she remembered my name by my second visit and she couldn’t make it any easier on me to make and change appointments!!! Kelly, Kevin and Heidi have been my PTs. All three work seamlessly together as a team to create a care plan that works for me. They are very knowledgeable and all have their own unique style of educating while working with me. I can’t say the facilities are all that different from any other, but the people here make all the difference!!!!

The entire staff is extremely nice and easy to work with, always available to answer questions and provide additional information. The stand out for service is how holistically they approach your body and the needs it has. Eddie was willing to look deeper than any provider I’ve seen over the last few years of my complicated injury from a MVA to get to the root of the issue rather than the surface. With his dedication, knowledge, and willingness to truly listen to me as the patient, he has been able to hone in on a lot of problem areas many doctors had previously overlooked. His perseverance for my body’s improvement is notable and impactful. Where others told me I would never recover and have long lasting nerve damage, Eddie is willing to push the bounds to see how close to 100% I can get. Eddie is very versed in the body and its interstitial connectivity, while being very open to explaining why something is/isn’t working properly and how we can go about improving it. This is something I really appreciate as a patient, trying to get to the “why” and understanding my own body better. I have already seen a lot of improvement in the few months I’ve been being treated at Innova. I am very excited and now finally positive that I do have the potential to recover holistically with their help. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been to a lot of physical therapists over the years. None of them even come close to Innova. I have hypermobility issues throughout my body and daily persistent headaches. Bret and Eddie keep me functioning where no other PT has been able to. Eddie is an absolute legend who is wholly focused on patient treatment. Bret (the owner) took one look at me and asked "how many concussions have you had?" (several) and then proceeded to fill a whiteboard with all of the things he noted were wrong with me; then they created an action plan and got to work. With Innova, you see your provider for the entire duration of the session. Other PTs I've been to will evaluate the patient for 15-20 minutes and then have an assistant run you through some exercises and hook you up to a tens unit to shock you for the last 10 minutes of the session. Not the case with Innova; every practitioner spends the entirety of the session treating their patients and refining plans of care. 100% top notch team. Their new office in Seattle is incredible and I'm really excited to see them expand. Both their Redmond location and their Seattle location are equidistant from my house so it's nice to have options for where I go for treatment. The view of Lake Union from all of the treatment rooms is fantastic. Their office staff also warrants rave reviews. Professional and friendly, and by this point in time after 3 years as a weekly patient, all of them know me well and move the stars to ensure I'm able to continue receiving the treatment I need. Huge shout out to Melissa and Renay for coordinating (at this point) hundreds of sessions for me, Anita for dealing with my insurance who always puts up a fuss when I request more sessions to treat a chronic condition, and for Danielle for keeping everything running in the background. Y'all are fantastic and deserve every bit as much praise as Eddie, Bret, and the rest of the practitioners. Huge thank you to the whole Innova team.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to Bret at Innova with a C5-C6 disc herniation and recommendation from an orthopedist for disc replacement surgery. I had already tried chiropractic care, and steroid injections. I was in a lot of pain and suddenly found my active lifestyle was at risk. After reviewing surgery options, I just was not comfortable going that route. My experience with Bret has been fantastic. He took the time to really assess my entire body to determine what caused the herniation (no related trauma) and devise a plan of action. His knowledge and experience combined with his great demeanor as a caring PT, began to pay immediate dividends. Now 1 1/2 months into treatment and while, I am not 100% pain free, I am back to being fully active, regaining strength in my arm that was lost due to nerve impingement, and feel I am definitely on my wat to full recovery without surgery. I highly recommend Bret and Innova Physical Therapy.

In 2022, I suffered a sudden severe arthritis flare up in my right knee which left me with minimal range of motion. When I met Madi Engel, I couldn’t climb a flight of stairs, walking was challenging, and I was in severe pain. To say she helped me recover would be an understatement. She was amazing. Her stellar skills, thoughtful guidance, and incredible support helped me regain my mobility. Within 4½ months, I had my range of motion back in my knee with no pain. Best of all, prior to my physical therapy, my primary care doctor thought maybe I would need a knee replacement soon. Nope! Madi gave me a maintenance routine of exercises to keep my muscles strong and both knees working. Thank you, Madi.

Experiencia fantástica: I have really enjoyed working with this clinic both as a rep and as a patient! Their team really cares about people and is pleasant every time I go in. I work with a bunch of PT clinics in the area for my job and this one is one of the best. Super kind front desk and hard working staff! Plus the therapy there is great and they spend a full hour with you as opposed to other clinics where you sort of get half of the therapists attention while there are multiple patients present. Would highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I hesitated to write this review because I sincerely wish nobody else know about this clinic because these physical therapists are that phenomenal. I first started working with Katy. First, she is genuinely eager to understand and connect with patients who are experiencing pain in multiple domains, which includes the physical back pain, but also the psychological stress that contributes to the physical pain. Second, she is very knowledgeable and articulate, while she makes medical jargons very easy to understand for her patients. Her instructions are very clear to guide you for weekly rehabilative homework. Last, she is very skilled at manual therapy. I wonder if it is the Brazilian jiu jitsu that she does, that gives her so much strength and power. Not only that, she got me into Pilates as a form of rehabilative exercises aside from doing PT homework. She always brings good sense of humor and quick wits to every session I see her. I also have worked with Ashley. First, she is very investigative and thorough with her examination. She also utilizes her extra training in spine work and I learned for the first time that my ribs, and my broken calf bone could be the potential contributor to my back pain. She is very gentle and caring with her approach to patient-centered physical therapy. It is also interesting to hear about her equestrian rehabilitation. I am also very excited to begin working with Megan, who has a specialty training in the area I need help with next. This clinic has the best set of physical therapists. They are by the best professionals, I have ever received care for my physical rehabilitation. They take time to listen to give you the best care.

Experiencia fantástica: Bret Swigard is a gifted PT with a keen ability to diagnose problems quickly and design personalized treatment plans. As a yoga teacher and past athlete, I've seen my share of PTs, and Bret and his team are a cut WAY above. While many PTs print out standard exercises for everyone, Bret teaches you very specific, subtle exercises targeted to your evaluation. I would highly recommend Innova PT in Redmond to anyone seeking help. Five stars!

Experiencia fantástica: I had the honor and pleasure to work with Bret at Innova - a tremendously knowledgeable and experienced physical therapist. I came to see Bret while visiting the Seattle area, on a recommendation from my PT in New York. Working on chronic muscular and fascial issues due to a long ago car accident, I was hoping Bret might fill in some gaps in my normal therapy practice (acupuncture, chiropractic, and PT) while I was out of town. Boy did he ever. I got a master class in my own body's functions and dysfunctions, and concrete strategies on how to work on them long term. Bret is communicative, courteous, charming, wise, and integrative in his approach. In one session he helped me understand how to make my body not just functional, but thrive. He helps put together all your different pieces and connect all your dots. He helps you feel seen. I live in New York, but am seriously considering figuring out how to make a trip to Redmond a few times more just so I can learn from and work with Bret some more. I cannot recommend this physical therapist (and the rest of the folk at Innova) enough.

Experiencia fantástica: Bret is without a doubt the best PT you can find. I’ve known him for ten years and he helped me through many injuries as a professional dancer. I have never met another specialist as good as him. In addition to treating injuries, he focuses a lot on prevention. Bret also teaches patients treatment techniques so they are able to continue recovering on their own. He is always professional, respectful, and 100% helpful in every way. I wouldn’t be as strong of a dancer without all his help over the years. My other family members have seen some of the other PTs at Innova, and they always have nothing but good things today. I couldn’t recommend a better place if you’re in need of physical therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: Madi Engel is a professional and caring physical therapist I've even met. My leg numbness has been bothered me for almost three years, and I've been tried every effort to overcome it. It still didn't work after my spine injection. She helped me to gradually gain more power while I felt really disappointed and lack of ideas. She is so patient and open-minded that I felt brave enough to try something new. With her encouragement, I can even try my favorite TaiChi embedded in the secret treatment. Now, I'm incredibly recovered through over four-month treatment periods. Thank you Madi for providing such an amazing service and bring me more joy in my life.

Experiencia fantástica: I saw Katy for an upper back injury that would not go away. I recently started training brazilian jiu jitsu and it was important to me to go to a physical therapist that understands the sport (Katy practices bjj) and will not ask me to stop doing what I love, unless absolutely necessary. She was very detailed in evaluating my injury and immediately recognized than the problem I had was related with my thoracic spine and ribs, and not my shoulderblade as I had assumed. Just after the first session, great deal of my pain subsided and my range of motion drastically improved. I didnt realized how much tension my pain had caused me in my every day life until she helped relieve it. The best part is that she didnt told me to stop practicing my hobby but gave me advice on how to be more thoughtful about my movements, and how to roll safely until my full recovery. I would recommend her to anyone, especially mixed martial arts practitioners, because it was excellent experience to be assesed by someone that realizes the time and effort it takes to develop a skill in mma, knows common injuries and has invaluable knoledge and advice.

Experiencia fantástica: I have worked with two different therapists so far, Ashley and Eddie, and both are great. Everyone at Innova is friendly and professional and they really know their stuff. During the very first session, Ashley was able to somehow relieve a lot of tension I guess I had gotten used to over the 2.5 months my arm was immobilized in a brace after an accident. And the next day the difference in my range of motion was noticeable. Same thing happened the next visit working with Eddie - I know it will take some time but I came out of both sessions feeling optimistic about my progress. I'm looking forward to my appointment on Friday and continuing to improve with the expert help I'm getting at Innova. My friend's mother recommended this place to me and I agree with her - I'd highly recommend Innova to anybody who needs physical therapy.

Not only is he extremely knowledgable, but he truly cares about each individual. Experiencia fantástica: My primary care physician referred me to Innova for help with my balance and posture (kyphosis) problems that were becoming chronic and progressively getting worse as I aged. Innova set up use of my Aetna Medicare Advantage insurance with a copay. Kevin Bonilla guided me through an extensive program of stretching and hip strengthening exercises specific to my needs. He was particularly attentive to making sure I performed the the exercises safely. Also he quantitatively measure and document my progress, so that could see that I was improving. Most import he helped me pare down and document a program that I could continue to preform daily at home.

Experiencia fantástica: I would highly recommend Innova therapy given my experience there. I was treated by Edmond Gordon first for pelvic pain and then shoulder blade pains. Eddy is really good in diagnosis and providing accurate therapy solution to any sort of muscular issues. I have been treated for Pelvic pain issues and I was so impressed with his accurate diagnosis of the issue and finding the right muscles and nerves to work on. My pain was completely gone in few sessions and the exercises he suggested made sure it doesn’t come back. Recently, he helped me with my shoulder blade issues and again he was so impressive in releasing the tight muscles and providing the right cure. I would definitely recommend him for any sort of physical therapy.

The therapists understand the intense physical demands dance entails and the strengths, weaknesses, and physical habits common among dancers. They've helped me find practical solutions and exercises to incorporate into my warm up routines, helping support healthier movement and recovery in dealing with chronic and acute injuries.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been to therapists and masseuses on several continents and the Innova team is world class. Megan W (PT) has an uncanny ability to "see inside" your body and bring it back into alignment; her recommended at-home stretches and exercises are customized each session. Plus I've never seen a team (PT, fitness, masseuse) work together between client sessions to ensure each appointment builds upon the last one. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Bret Swigard and the Innova Physical Therapy team should be your first stop when you’re looking for PT. I’ve known Bret for about 18 years and seen him for a variety of minor and major concerns that ranged from a check-up on a sprained wrist (that resulted in him teaching me how to tape it before a week-long backpacking trip) to recovering from surgery (in which I spent weeks with his team). When I had a concern that PT couldn’t address, Bret was upfront and honest with me, and that made me respect him as a professional even more. The point is, I trust Innova with one the most important things, my physical health/body, and I encourage others to check them out.

Experiencia fantástica: About 5 months ago, I had really bad lower back pain. I looked for a physical therapist near my place and Innova had good reviews. When I called, Melissa was super helpful and kind and got me in for the first available appointment, which was with Madison. I am so glad she did. Madison is fantastic. Over the 5 months, she meticulously worked on my body, just like a researcher. She helped me get rid of the pain, identified and fixed some problems that caused it, and taught me how to move my body better. She is not only a great PT, also a super fun, friendly and compassionate person. I am so glad I crossed paths with Innova and with all the helpful and kind people there.

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Innova PT, and Bret Swigard in particular. I found Bret through a friend. I was having some difficulty with my knee. This was the kind of problem, I figured a regular physician (doctor) would not be able to help me with. I went to see Bret, explained my situation, the discomfort and the pain I was having, what I had tried. He was friendly, professional, and interested in listening. Bret immediately inspired my confidence: I had come to the right place. He was very thorough asking questions about what I was feeling, examining my mobility and flexibility, my past history. He performed various evaluations. Explaining everything he was doing, and what he was observing, thoroughly. I had several consultations with Bret; in the end he gave me some re-assurance that I could rehab my knee myself, with some extra care. He showed me how to massage it correctly, told me what to watch for, and gave me a Home Exercise Plan. He also explained some other therapies I could try, if the self-rehab option wasn't satisfactory. But the massage and PT plan really worked for me! In a matter of a few weeks I felt a significant positive change. Thanks, Bret!

Experiencia fantástica: In Aug of last year I sustained a very bad injury (broken heel) which required reconstructive surgery. I knew I needed lots of PT but had no idea who I could trust with such a bad injury. All I knew is that I needed a skilled therapist to make a good recovery. A friend referred me to Bret Swigard at Innova (he established the office). From the first visit I knew he was the guy! His depth of experience and attention to detail is paramount. Bret was there every step of the way, hands on, helping me to understand exactly what was happening through the various stages of recovery. Every time I made progress he kept fighting for more, he really didn't give up and that made me not want to give up either. According to my surgeon I've made one of the best recoveries for this injury that he's ever seen. Thank you Bret! And a huge thank you to the whole office (I've seen several other therapists and they're all great!)

Experiencia fantástica: Walking into Innova Physical Therapy was one of the major turning points in my life. I went through very bad chronic backache that built-up due to years of wrong posture. I initially went to another PT clinic located barely a mile from where Innova is located and had a totally underwhelming experience and kind of lost faith in PT. Then I went from Yoga to Pilates to Chiropractor to home exercises to simply resting my the back. Almost 8 months passed and my back was still miserable (Read it as "my life was miserable"). Then finally I decided to give PT another shot and this time I chose Innova. On the first visit itself I knew the place was different and had a positive vibe. I worked with Eddy, Bret and Megan and they were all wonderful. They explained to me what I'm going through and the anatomy of back in simple terms and we came up with a strategy for my back recovery. We customized, improvised, responded to various ups and downs in my journey. Steadily my back got better and after an uphill battle now my life is more or less back to normal. Eddy and Megan are both AMAZING PTs and I rely on their valuable sessions on a weekly basis. Every time I walk out of their sessions feeling positive and full of hope that I'll beat this back situation. I've now revised my goals from recovering from backache to getting physically active :) Bret Swigard is a legendary PT - I'd say he is the gold standard for the world of PT. You'll understand why I'm saying this only if you work with him. I'm heartily recommending Innova to anyone I meet and If you are suffering from some kind of pain, I'm positive that Innova Physical Therapy can be your solution. In simple words, you'll work with people who are truly skillful and also truly truly care about your recovery.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient of Kevin's for almost a year. He has been the best Physical Therapist I have ever experienced. A year ago my doctor recommended I go to PT for a constant shoulder issue. After several weeks of PT there was no improvement. Kevin suggested I go to my doctor for an MRI. The MRI showed a complete rotator cuff tear and a bicep tear. If it wasn't for Kevin's recommendation I would not have had it checked out further. I eventually had my surgery and now in therapy again. Kevin explains the what and why we go through each exercise. He explains the muscles and how they relate to each other. He makes the therapy interesting and unique each visit. Kevin is the first therapist, I have had, that constantly monitors my exercise. He understands me as a patient and understands how to motivate me when I exercise at home. Again, the best therapist I have experienced. Five months past surgery and I have come a long way thanks to Kevin!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Before seeing Bret, I tried, with no aveil, everything from chiropractic to dry needling for two years to heal from a low back disc injury. I started working with Bret just as I was sure that I was never going to heal without surgery. After five months, Bret has helped me recover to be able to return to weight lifting, running, and playing sports. During each session, he does not just make me do exercises but asks how I feel and conduct tests before providing a customized treatment plan. Bret will also let you know if he thinks he can no longer help, instead of wasting your money while making no progress. The entire Innova office has also set up proper Covid precautions including temperature checks, plastic screens, cleaning before sessions, and more. I'd highly recommend Innova, and Bret in particular, to anyone in need of PT.

Bret Swigard is a master Physical Therapist and one of the kindest, most caring people I have ever had the privilege to know. Working with him is like no clinical experience I've ever had. He will spend every appointment entirely focused on you (he does not use therapy assistants). I met Bret after my chronic back pain became absolutely unbearable. Working with Bret has allowed me to live pain free 90% of the time and to do all the activities I love. In addition to Bret, who can be booked out several months, every other therapist I've seen at Innova has been top-notch. Bret hires carefully and mentors all his employees. It is truly a remarkable place.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience with Innova Physical Therapy has been incredible! I've been working with Bret for more than a year now and he's hands down the best PT I've ever worked with. The ways in which he assesses dysfunction in the body are extremely different than other PTs I've worked with, and his corrections are spot on. The focus on correcting neural pathways and breaking long standing patterns have been key for my healing, and the homework given so that I can continue the work has been very effective for me. If you are looking for a physical therapy team that delves deep into the mechanics of the body and doesn't just focus on strengthening than I highly recommend trying Innova Physical Therapy.

He is incredibly knowledgeable and uses a method that actually targets the root cause of the problem instead of just the local pain source.
