Experiencia fantástica: Alot of people have different opinions about this place but for me its where i stayed healthy and get back in track. Tbh, i have never seen a doctor as compassionate as doctor Meekam. Even thou he has alot of patients, he takes time with everyone and really listens to you. He has pure heart and really cares and wants everyone to be safe The thing i hate about copper spring is that the intake time you have to wait to get to your room. The other thing is i was reading on the wall, its says any violence, foul language is not tolerated but its says aggressive behavior against staff member is considered a felony. What if a patient got violated, isn’t that a felony because i seen that happened. Sometimes I don’t think people understand that we are here to get help and some people are just aggressive, alot of foul language, faking seizures to get more med, talking loud on the phone in the room. I wish there is a way to handle this kind of people because it’s so stressful. Other thing I really appreciate this place is the therapy session, the outdoor time, different activities to stay active. Just thank you for helping me alot. After all stressful time in waiting room , sometimes it feels it worth the wait.

Experiencia fantástica: Stephanie the PCA from meadows unit really made all the difference being a patient here. She truly cares about us getting better , she treats us with dignity and respect and goes above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She understands us and treats us how she would want to be treated. I had isssues with Carl who was disrespectful towards us but the supervisor listened to our concerns and moved him from our floor which I absolutely loved that the supervisor listens to our concerns. If you file a grievance they will listen and take action to correct it. So I give this place a 4/5 stars. Thank u Stephanie for everything you do to make it easier for us to be here.

Experiencia fantástica: I really have to give the comfort of my stay to a staff member/tech named Stephanie Barr! She made sure that I had absolutely everything that I needed and her professionalism towards me and the group was immeasurable and nothing short than great! I'm glad that you have staff members working for your company such as Stephanie Barr!

Experiencia positiva: Well so far my experience with this place hasn't been the greatest. Tues night I was there with my husband who was checking himself into detox. We had been there for 6 hours already and he was still waiting for his bed assignment when I finally left at 9pm. I asked my husband to call me and let me know details about phone calls and visits in the morning so I could visit and talk to him. Well hes now been in there as of today 4 days and I've called 15 times in the last 4 days and left a voicemail every time I've called and I have yet to have a phone call back from staff or my husband. It's not like I can just jump in a car and go down in person anytime I want bcuz I happen to be homeless and I don't have transportation. Or I'd have been down there by now demanding some help or answers. It's ridiculous that they say they check the messages several times a day and the patients get them. Yeah right!!! If that were true my husband would have called me by now. So here I sit still waiting to hear from someone wondering if my husband is even still alive or if they let him just leave and never said anything to me or whatever. I really hope that my husband's care while he's been there has been so much better than this experience I've had. So since it seems the staff is incompetent and can't seem to take 5mins out of their time to return a phone call and or pass on a message it looks like I'm gonna have to spend money I really don't have on a Lyft to go down there bright and early tomorrow morning to see what the hell is going on and try to visit my husband. You have no idea how frustrating it is to be ignored and not know if my husband is even still alive.

Experiencia positiva: I am concerned about the amount of 1-star reviews; I wonder if the CS west location is being confused for the east location which does not have a good reputation. I think it's important to note that any mental health facility is dealing with people who are experiencing deep emotional pain, confusion, lack of mental acuity and often anger. That's a difficult mix to handle no matter who's on staff, and not everyone has the right personality to manage that challenging environment properly. I'm not saying that the plethora of complaints have no validity, but it's important to consider the source of the reviewer. If you're not feeling well mentally or emotionally to begin with how can you be objective with an opinion? Food for thought. For my stay at CS West overall it has been a 4-star experience. The staff from intake to the doctors has been positive; everyone has been kind, helpful and upbeat. Compared to most other facilities there is quite a bit of freedom here: Access to cell phone, smoke breaks through the day (if you're a smoker) and outdoor area, great showers and a clean, well maintained facility. The only reason I didn't give 5-stars is the food - it's horrible, and they're very stingy about portion size. Most people leave the cafeteria feeling hungry. For an overall experience I'd consider this place safe and worthy of getting the first stage of help.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff and doctors at Copper Springs are caring and helpful. I was really messed up and they brought me back from the grave. Nurses like Dana, and Karen are awesome. PCA's like Ray,Amena,Nicole, and Justin are super supportive and understanding. They really help and care at Copper Springs. If your at the end of your road this is the place to go to find your way back home.

Experiencia fantástica: Probably the best place I’ve ever been! Amazing place, gym, food, meds and you can smoke. They let you keep your phone also. The staff and the doctors are amazing! I hope I never have to go back but if I did I wouldn’t go anywhere else

Cherre Goins 3 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: The food is actually pretty good especially compared to other places I've been. There's even vending machines in the cafeteria. There's coffee makers and flavoried water in the main area. The fridge has pudding and sandwiches inside. They offer a late night snack every night of sandwiches and chips. They let you keep your cell phone. There's a library to check out books from. There's a cigarette break after every meal. There's different types of therapy and activities throughout the day. They helped me a lot and are much more comfortable than other mental health/detox places. It doesn't feel like a prison it feels like you're just getting help.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the ONLY place I have ever personally felt was safe enough to come when I truly am vulnerable and also a place I can open up and be completely honest with people without feeling like you are out of place because everyone is going through probably alot in their life honestly and this is really the time and place to let that all out and/or atleast make some attempts in your recovery , whatever that may be. This is a better place than any state run facility you'll ever find and you are just better off walking in on your own.

Experiencia fantástica: I was at Copper Springs for a prescription dependency, but met so many others with addictions that were life-altering; and what I learned there how I was treated there, and how I started my recovery there from this dependency, were life altering. I thank the doctors and staff, and all the other people I met there with changing my life. So difficult with detoxing from this prescription the doctors have been giving me for 10 years + but they helped me do it with Grace. DON'T EVER GET STARTED ON BENZODIAZAPINES!! I would recommend this place to anybody if they truly want the help they offer. They are so busy, so make an appointment! ****Update... One year later... 2022**** HAVE NOT TOUCHED ANOTHER BENZO in this last year... Again thank you Copper Springs and Dr Mecham... Who was amazing and so very good at what he does.... My detox there definitely changed my life !!!! ***COMING UP ON 2 YEARS*** Not quite but I have to tell you my life is so different these days. Free of benzoes and happier than ever! Again I give credit to CS and Dr Mecham. I really don't think I would have/could have done it without them on my own. Very aggressive taper but lots of support from these people and I am SO VERY GRATEFUL!!!! It took a couple of months before I felt "normal" again... I don't know that I would have continued my journey but it has been well worth it!

Experiencia fantástica: I was at Copper Springs for 7 days, they ALL were caring, gave positive support and if you needed something or had any questions, they took care of you! I’ve been on several facilities and they do not come close! I was in a bad way when I entered and outside of the assessment part I was treated kind and respectful. I just want to say Thank you I would of had a much different outcome if they were not there!! Highly recommend, love you all

Experiencia fantástica: I was an inpatient at Copper Springs about 6 years ago. I was "tricked" by my sister, (still not convinced of her claims that she thought it was an outpatient only facility) who is a Registered Nurse and has lived in the city of Avondale nearly 20 years. So, the idea of me feeling "tricked" is not such a far fetched notion. I felt betrayed by my family because I specifically expressed my willingness to participate in outpatient therapy only. I made it abundantly clear that I did not desire inpatient services. I said I did not want to stay in the facility, and wanted to be sure that my concerns were effectively communicated and ultimately eliminated. So, you can understand why I found it difficult to believe her claims of not knowing about inpatient services they offered...after my assessment of course was conducted and what do ya know, they DO offer inpatient care and I was to be reserving a room for a week and the reason for my stay, "that I did not have a safe place to go", which, I still to this day do not fully understand it entirely, even as simple as it sounds, all Hell broke loose inside my overanalytical mind when I tampered and broke the seal to Pandora's box of questions, " Why do I not have a safe place to go?" "And what's the significance of not having a safe place to go for a week?". And I eventually came to conclude that was just a clever way to say that I might be more accident prone than usual (thinking Final Destination Movies). Once I got settled in, and my anger, frustration, and disappointment subsided, I realized just how much I needed to be exactly where I was at in that moment of time. And I eventually found myself taking appreciation in all the wonderful things life could offer..when I allowed myself the opportunity... The staff was wonderful. Bedside manners ✔️ A+++ and no feeling of staff being burned out loosing bedside manner. Real genuine caring staff members and the overall environment was cozy, warm, and friendly. And the food really was delicious. It was a blessing in disguise. The facility was clean and the misc group activities/ classes had a nice mix...I remember participating in a meditation class, which I had never done and found it to be very beneficial and necessary. Copper Springs turned out to be the best trick & treat experience of my life. Thank you~

Experiencia fantástica: Trans Friendly/Military Help For Heroes Program (Sunrise Unit): I had the pleasure of coming here for mental health rehab and I really got to the core of my complex trauma. The program is very well structured and certain assignments are very much needed (such as grief, schemas, after care etc.) Therapy: I learned something new everyday about trauma, coping, habits, triggers and Cheryl is an AMAZING motivation speaker in groups and great on 101. Her charisma is contagious and can make you smile on a bad day. PCAs: The care team did a phenomenal job and making sure my Transgender and sleep apnea needs were met. Eva and Amy go above and beyond to make the environment healthy and welcoming to everyone. The nurses and psychologist check in on you Dailey and got me on the right medications for sleep and nightmares. If I had to recommend military to a Trauma recovery/treatment center I would recommend Copper Springs as the first stop on their journey to healing. -Tonie

Experiencia fantástica: I can't say enough good things about the doctors, staff, and facility. The place has a resort feel and the food was amazing. I was in for detox 4 years ago and I am blessed to say that I have been sober since I walked out those doors. I am getting teary eyed writing this review because of this place and the staff gave me hope again for my future. I was treated with respect and compassion during a VERY difficult time in my life. Hands down if you are thinking about checking in just do it you will not regret it!! Thank you to all the wonderful staff I wish I remembered all your names you truly changed my life and I am forever grateful. If you are ever wondering if you are making a difference just know that you did make a difference in my life, this place saved my life. Thank you thank you Copper Springs A++++

Experiencia fantástica: Copper Springs was probably actually not probably it was the absolute in the solution for my recovery. The entire staff has one goal and that goal is to make sure that you have everything that's necessary for the highest possibility success rate however you want to put it, to where you are set up for your success. All you have to do is want to stay sober and they give you all the tools necessary. The only reason I'm writing this it's because they gave me the opportunity to live a full life with the tools that I learned inside there with a therapist doctor so blaris dr. Armani all the nurses on the behavioral health personnel have one goal and that goal is to get you on your feet so you two can succeed. I'm so grateful and blessed that I had this opportunity I've been there many times and this time it's sunken to my core as a person I'm so grateful for the opportunity that lies ahead of me and I owe it all to Copper Springs.

Experiencia fantástica: It was taught skills that helped deal me with my anxiety and depression. The IOP group I attended was virtual. And I can't say enough good things about the copping skills I learned in my group. I learned to.deal with my emotions that I suppressed for years without being really aware of it.The therapist of my group was so caring and kind. She is awesome! She and the group helped me far beyond my expectations.

Experiencia fantástica: Cecelia, R.N., IS THE MOST WONDERFUL NURSE. She went above and beyond at every opportunity to make my experience here comfortable and pain free. Thank you Cecelia, Myrna, Myrna's husband (I'm sorry i can't remember your name but you're not half dead yet brother! You got plenty of wonderful years left on this planet), Sequoia, Brenda, and all the other wonderful people that made my visit to Copper Springs amazing and comfortable. I appreciate you all more than you will ever know. Don't ever stop believing in yourselves and if you ever do, then just know that I will continue to believe in you all. You're all wonderful people, and I will never forget you all. Thank you so much.

Experiencia fantástica: very helpful in time of crisis. make sure to make an appointment and be early. don't use right beforehand either. be honest about time of last use esp if you used opiates. they will give you MAT (subutex) according to your timeframe and if you dose prior to 36 hours you will go into precipitated withdrawal. you get out of this treatment what you put in to it. always be honest, don't worry they will take care of you.

Experiencia fantástica: This place was like a stepping stone to start my recovery of dealing with severe depression and social anxiety. Group therapies were probably my favorite thing here and each class was so different and had a lot to teach us. I met wonderful people during my stay and it realy helped me get out of my comfort zone and identify my triggers and new, HEALTHIER coping skills to deal with my depression and anxiety. The staff was so nice and always helping with whatever was in their power. The food was good and the place was super clean!

Experiencia fantástica: I just called Cooper Springs and spoke to a person named Monica. She was so kind, understanding and caring. She explained many different aspects of addiction to me . She gave me the encouragement I needed . Addiction is so difficult for people to understand or be sympathetic about. But she was. Thank God for people like her. Thank you Monica

Experiencia fantástica: I honestly have no complaints, I was treated very well by pretty much everyone here! Of course, it took a bit to get in, but due to the mental distress that I was in, I got in with reasonable pace. The staff is SUPER helpful and I absolutely LOVED the therapists here. I ALWAYS had someone to talk to and they were all so very gentle with me, when I was there, I was pretty much a ticking bomb of sadness. I had no problem with the amount of smoke breaks I had, because it meant that I could be outside alot more than other places. The food was actually really great, many choices to pick from! If I get back to the point that I was when I came here, I would definitely come here again. I honestly miss everyone here, it makes me sad sometimes Love, Mavey I was in the Meadows Unit :3

Experiencia fantástica: I am a therapist who has worked in conjunction with Copper Springs referring patients and collaborating on training's. Copper Springs is a very new state of the art facility where they have thought through many safety features for the clients. They offer alternative groups such as yoga and have several trained EMDR therapists. I have referred clients here and will continue to do so.

Experiencia fantástica: I want to take a moment to say Thank you to a woman who spoke with me from Copper Springs Treatment Center. Thank you.

Experiencia fantástica: This place was really good to me! They helped me detox and balanced my meds and I felt like a brand new person compares to when I walked thru there doors. It took about 5 hours to get me accessed and back to my room. Dr. Sbiliris was very nice and I felt very comfortable talking to him and I felt like he had my best interest at hard. The only bad thing I can say about this place is they don’t keep you long enuff but that’s all up to the insurance so I guess I can’t be mad at them for that.

Experiencia fantástica: The outpatient program here at Copper Springs is truly life changing. Each and every person you encounter here leaves you with a smile on your face; you know that everyone really cares. The staff here are always so welcoming, and make sure to always have your best interest. Lauren, the front desk receptionist, is always so much fun and has the best attitude. She’s so kind and always makes sure all questions and concerns are answered. The therapists at Copper Springs all meet you exactly where you’re at and strive to get you where you want and need to be. Copper Springs embraces all walks of life with open arms. Highly Recommend to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough about Copper Springs! This place and employees that work there have helped me tremendously. I first came in and was inpatient where I received 24/7 care and completed treatment work. In inpatient, they are dedicated to keeping the environment clean for your overall health and well-being. Once I left inpatient, I took advantage of their outpatient program which has truly benefited me in so many ways. I am able to take advantage of their group therapy and one-on-one counseling. All of the employees-both inpatient and outpatient- have your best interest at heart. I’ve never seen such an amazing group of people willing to help others who are in need. It’s so easy to see that they truly love what they do and are dedicated to help and watch you improve in order to be your best self. I would HIGHLY recommend this hospital to anyone who is in crisis and in need of help. Please give them a call! Don’t hesitate!

Not only is it a very nice facility with good food and high quality of care but the staff here really do care. It’s always nice to see someone doing a job that they are passionate about and really do love. When you put that in context with what these people are dealing with on a regular basis and still see it in the majority of the employees at Copper Springs. It truly is amazing to witness. Experiencia fantástica: After years of depression evolving into anxiety and uncontrollable panic attacks I sought professional help.I was so fortunate to find what I needed at Copper Springs.I learned that my life did not and does not have to be so stressful. I found that being in a group and talking was difficult in the first few days due to my personal shyness but after realizing how quickly I started feeling better I was amazed. The staff took my problems seriously and along with medication management and a wonderful, experienced and caring therapist my time there was comforting and nothing but positive and so helpful. My life has been turned around and I`m so grateful to everyone at the facility. The tools I was given to manage everyday life is working well for me. The place is awesome. From reception to graduation if you need help, make an appointment, you`ll be in the right place.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought a family member here last year for detox because it was so highly recommended, and I was impressed then. But I didnt know what to expect when my own anxiety and depression became so crippling and unmanageable that I desperately sought help. What a God send Copper Springs has been! Surrender and trust the process! You will be hard pressed to find a more caring staff, from inpatient to out. HUGE shout outs to Dr. Amani, Marjo, Lauren, Kristen, Heather and especially Alissa! Thank you so much for the love and the tools. Thank you for giving me my life back.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been to a lot of facilities, but none quite like Copper Springs. Extremely clean, in order and the team members are incredibly compassionate and nurturing. Diana Matos, the Senior Business Development Representative, is an amazing soul and it is a complete joy to be in her presence. You all are setting the standard high, and individuals who are needing the services you offer, deserve that. Hats off to you Copper Springs!

Experiencia fantástica: Copper Springs has been an incredible life altering place of healing for me. I had a hard time at first just believing that therapy could actually help me. But I have taken advantage of the outpatient programs and every therapist I have encountered (Sam and Barb) were so caring and truly wanted the best for you. They pushed me when I wanted to just give up. Lauren, the front desk lady, welcomes you every day with the best smile and she is quick to help with anything she can. If you are looking for a place to feel welcomed and supported this is definitely the place for you!

Experiencia fantástica: I was at Copper for about eight days for mental health. I am more than satisfied with my stay there, and I would definitely recommend anyone seeking help with mental health or detox to go to there. The entire staff was especially friendly, nice, and caring as soon as I stepped inside the doors. Dr. Amani , my nurse James, and my therapist Leanne, alongside the wonderful techs, definitely got me to where I needed to be mentally. Copper Springs turned what was an anxious and scary situation for me, into a pleasant and positive one. And I even made some friends along the way. Thank you so much for helping me! I will always speak very highly of Copper Springs!

Experiencia fantástica: Update : taking score from a 1 star to a 5 star rating. Great treatment, staff is amazing excellent nursing team and Dr Amani is a fantastic Dr. Went inpatient at Copper Spring, the property was pretty, the staff were amazing but the Dr was horrible. Dr Sib... kept telling me I was going to kill myself, did I do anything to harn myself. The dr should spend more than 2 mins That should have never been told by a mental heath provider. I had staff listen to the session per my request. I filed a complaint with the hospital requested a different dr, but that didn't happen because he has a problem with a patient dumping. Now I need to go back to the hospital but I was told he is the only Dr that sees mental health patients.

Experiencia fantástica: I checked into the voluntary in-patient program for help with depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. I was hoping to get some help and advice, get some new direction in my life. I fought against the program very adamantly my first two days, I was scared and angry, but once I began to let my guard down and embrace the treatment my entire perspective changed. With the help of the appropriate meds and the incredibly patient staff, I have gained so much... I'm thinking clearly for the first time in years. I entered in a state of depression that would have killed me if I had not sought help, I left feeling empowered and confident about the future; feelings that were, up to this point, alien to me. I would highly recommend treatment at Copper Springs, embrace the treatment and get as much out of it as you can.

Experiencia fantástica: Copper Springs is the only rehab I would recommend to anyone needing help. It's very clean. They give you everything youd need. Very helpful and caring. James is always in a good mood which makes you wanna smile. And a lot of the nurses are just gorgeous ;) lol cable tv, plenty of snacks and stuff to drink when it's not breakfast lunch or dinner. Your own bed. It's basically like a very nice hotel. Great people once you start introducing yourself. They'll make you feel welcome. 5 stars outta 5 for sure! Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of me!

Experiencia fantástica: I found this place to be very good for help when in a situation, especially a crisis. The staff was very proficient, caring, and treated you respectfully. I had no problem with communicating with the staff and the doctors. Being a new facility it takes time to iron out the kinks and those were being handled efficiently. I think some of the reviews that were not a 5-star were based on it being a new facility, as well as the fact, "you get out of it what you put into it" and some patients don't take the reason they are there serious (my point of view and opinion only). The food was "the bomb", the "sleeping" rooms were well equipped and clean, same for the common areas. The doctors were friendly, knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Kudos to the staff on Sunrise, they were awesome!! So was the staff on recreation, extracurricular, counseling, etc. My 5-day stay was 3/3/17-3/7/17. I have over 15 years dealing with facilities such as this when taking care of a very close family member, so my review isn't because I am not familiar with other facilities, exact opposite. I highly recommend Copper Springs Hospital and would definitely refer them. Keep up the good work!!

Experiencia fantástica: Literally saved my life. I could not have asked for or imagined a hospital that suited my needs better. With Medical and Psych Doctors available onsite, and a great staff that treated me like a real person not a number or a check. They helped me to regain trust in myself and helped teach me the tools I've so greatly needed for a very long time. I would recommend Copper Springs to anybody with an addiction, mental health issue or combination of both. Especially if your ready to have a new life.

Experiencia fantástica: THIS PLACE SAVED MY LIFE! I came to find Copper Springs last summer when I was first sober, I went through the intensive outpatient program and learned so much, about my addiction and about myself. Unfortunately, I did relapse, but I was so well taken care of on the outpatient side that I came to Copper Springs for inpatient and then went through outpatient again. My counselor, Stephen, was AWESOME! In fact I requested him the second time that I went through intensive outpatient. This place will give you the tools you need for your recovery.

Tim S 8 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Copper Springs was there for me and my family when life's struggles became too overwhelming for us to handle alone. The impatient facility was clean, the food top notch, and the staff warm and caring. The therapy and psychiatric staff was very competent and made me an active participant in my recovery. Upon leaving inpatient I enrolled in an outstanding 8 week IOP program. Therapists like Stephen and Barbara, made sure I had the tools essential to returning to the workplace, participating fully in family life, and establishing a healthy lifestyle that emphasized my personal recovery needs. When IOP was over I definitely missed the 9 hrs per week of quality care. Fortunately, every Wednesday, Copper Spring provides, free of charge, an IOP Alumni group. Through this program I was able to check in with the same therapist who had helped me in IOP in the same type of group format as IOP. This was very comforting. I could write a much more lengthy testimonial praising Copper Springs, but it comes down to this: if you need help with substance abuse or other mental health issues, give them a call, you will be glad you did.

Experiencia fantástica: I couldn't be more pleased with our experience at Copper Springs. My son was taken from the ER to Copper Springs Hospital and has been battling with addiction issues for years. The facility itself is new and state of the art. I found the staff to be professional and compassionate throughout his stay. The front desk person, Kuka, was helpful. The discharge coordinator, Eric, took time to listen to a concerned parent and I felt "heard". Most of all, the community liaison, Kristin, was nonjudgmental, easy to talk to and had a wealth of information I could use going forward as my son continues on his path to recovery. I am so grateful and thank everyone who worked with us. I absolutely would refer Copper Springs to anyone facing similar challenges. What a great community resource!

Experiencia fantástica: I am not totally sure of why they turn people away, but from what I remember last year, is you need to qualify for treatment based on criteria, this place helped me, they were kind and respectful, the food was excellent, if you get up everyday and go to the classes, you will learn things you never did or forgot in my case to help you deal with your addictions, when I went there, I was drinking heavily wasting my life, I even made a huge mistake right after my visit to this wonderful facility, and just about lost it all, all over again, freedom, friends, family, but today I have a house a nice new car a great paying job, and I believe this facility deserves some credit, as a matter of fact I am introducing a friend to this facility because it helped me, and I'm hoping they do the same for her or better. But you guys need to start accepting people based on their addiction and not on their pain level.
