I have had the pleasure of working with occupational, physical, and speech therapists. They are knowledgeable, caring, and patient. They take the time to ensure you know what you are doing and why you are doing it. This is all serious to our individual well-being but they always find a way to make it as "fun" as possible. Thanks to the entire staff.

Experiencia fantástica: After several months of suffering from vocal difficulty that included chronic hoarseness, to near loss of voice, increased physical effort to speak, frustration set in and a search for a solution began. From Primary Care to referral to ENT doctor resulted in knowledge of vocal cord abnormality that could not be explained and suggested Physical Therapy but no solution. It wasn't until an ENT specialist in Laryngology identified my Vocal Cords suffered Atrophy and was labeled with Benign Neoplasm of False Vocal Cord. The best news was it could be and has recently been corrected with some minor surgery. Unlike past Physical Therapy, Ann at Banner Physical Therapy at Boswell Medical Center, was a consultant to the Doctor performing the surgery and assisted in my recovery. She provided the post surgical therapy that provided the knowledge and understanding of expectations that further enhanced my experience and total satisfaction. The results have been amazing. I could have same some 16 months of aggravation and frustration had I been aware of the solution earlier.

Experiencia fantástica: Marianne noticed the first day that I was wearing the wrong brace. When I was putting on my brace afer therapy, she says that's wrong. She goes and gets another brace and gives it to me. I put it on and said this feels great! She looks at my brace and sees it says right on it. I broke my left wrist. I have been in so much pain and my hand was going numb. I had sleepless nights. I was using ice and oxycodone with little relief. Marianne said they had my hand turning the wrong way and that's what caused all the pain. Marianne is professional and caring. She massages my swollen area and it feels good and takes down the swelling. She challenges me with puzzles and diversity things. I enjoy going to physical therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: Ann Cockfield is wonderful ! She is one of the few people who I have seen,( and I have seen a lot )who truly cares! She was the only person who took the time to diagnosis me correctly after seeing an ENT and techs etc. Ann Cockfield is the best of the best!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been coming to Banner Boswell Outpatient Physical Therapy for 12 years. Due to spinal cord surgery I was temporarily paralyzed and the fabulous therapists got me out of the wheelchair to a walker and then a cane within six months! I come back on a regular basis for a "tune up" as I have some weakness in my right leg. The staff is absolutely phenomenal and truly care about each patient. A shout out to Linda, Terri, Michelle and Sophia who are awesome! I won't go anywhere else!!

She was thorough, extremely knowledgeable and walked away knowing what to expect with a test and follow up. I learned about different things that can affect swallowing, how and why. Experiencia fantástica: I spent 6 sessions with Maryanne. Much improvement over the pain. So glad I was with a hand specialist and she was so knowledgeable. Made me feel we were definitely feel less pain. Having a brace made for my hand was a big help.

She had me doing many exercises targeting my problem area and I found them to be extremely helpful In therapy as well as at home. I would highly recommend her and if I were to need therapy again. Experiencia fantástica: Two years ago, I found myself searching again, for a physical therapist who knew how to help someone who suffers from reoccurring Vertigo and balance issues (as not all therapist have the correct training). I am delighted to find that Banner Physical Therapy has Kristi Bauer on Staff, who is a Certified Vestibular Therapist who has been able to teach me maneuvers to relieve the Vertigo and dizziness symptoms. I've learned various exercises from Kristi that also improve my balance issues that are easily worked into my daily routine when needed. At this Center, on your first appointment, you are assigned to one therapist who is licensed and specializes in your recovery needs. That therapist stays right with you during the appointments. Through the years, I have needed to seek out Physical Therapy on occasion, this center provides the best set-up, Kristi is always on time for appointments, her colleagues are friendly and the location is conveniently located next to Boswell Hospital on Thunderbird Avenue, Sun City.

Both my therapists do great work and really go out of their way to make me feel safe cared for and listened to. Experiencia fantástica: Because my balance was not reliable, and I had no other issues, my doc sent me to Banner Physical Therapy, where I worked with therapist Sean Anderson. I improved slowly but surely. He monitored me constantly, listened carefully, and never stopped encouraging and carefully challenging. Sean is intuitive and knowledgeable; the gym equipment immaculate; the front desk fun but efficient; and I am on track to walking with strength. Banner Physical Therapy is a first-class example of healthcare done right.

Experiencia fantástica: Christine greeted me on my very first session for PT due to a fall , when I broke my shoulder/firearm. She went over lots of different areas and told me several things I could do at home. Sadly, she won’t be MY Physical therapist, as of course she is already all booked up… But she made me feel right at home and she made things look very easy! She did let me know that there are a couple of openings that she could have in that I might be put into those as time went on. She was very personable and professional and yet very caring as well. She’s a great asset to the physical therapy department I believe !!!

I've been twice since the evaluation & am amazed at the various exercises she's having me do. I do feel I'm going to get benefits from these treatments. All my therapists stayed by my side, through the whole therapy session. Sarah, Terry and Jan, have helped me with my arthritic back, have helped me understand my condition, answered my questions, helped me have & reach goals, and have also helped me know how to continue my care at home (which has resulted in less pain). Kristi, my vestibular therapist (dealing with my vertigo), has been the rock behind my ability to endure this condition! I've had a tough, recurring case of vertigo, stemming from more than one cause, and Kristi has helped me through a lot! She has also helped me understand it, and know how to continue care at home, so if it recurs, I can take care of it. Thank-you Sarah, Terry, Jan, and Kristi, for being so great!!!

Experiencia fantástica: In each of the past couple of years I have been a patient of Banner Physical Therapy. In each instance I had excellent therapists that treated me with care and understanding. Parkinson's causes some debilitating muscular impediments to motor skills as well as interfering with cognitive abilities.. In my case I shake a lot and fall down a lot - certainly nothing to joke about but one needs to keep a sense of humor. Frankly I could not be more pleased with the services provided. This year the therapist that worked with me was young, talented and aggressive. She refused to let me malinger through the appointments and the department called me several times to make sure I remembered my appointment that day. I will be returning for additional services this year. Definitely a 5*+ service.

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful physical therapy team at Banner. My initial visit was to evaluate my neck and shoulder and arm conditions. Second visit was for some “real physical therapy” using some assistance with the stretch bands as well as Gym equipment for my shoulder. I received a neck massage as well as neck and shoulder therapy. Definitely, I felt better when I left then when I entered the building.

I’ve been going for about three weeks to strengthen my knee to hopefully avoid surgery. The care received from the front desk all the way through my actual treatment has been wonderful. I love the open, airy facility, the many options for exercise equipment, and most of all my very knowledgeable therapist, Sarah. They display great familiarity with various bones and muscles and possess the ability to select appropriate exercises to reach targeted results while balancing the patient’s comfort (avoiding injury) yet achieve challenging difficulty levels. They seem to truly care about the patient reaching their goals.

It's a joy to be around everyone there. I've been to therapy previously but was never treated as well as I was here.

Experiencia fantástica: I have just begun a course of physical therapy for an injury sustained in a rear-end auto collision. I am learning the exercises and stretches that will help my back to heal. Last year I did a full course of rehab after a hip replacement. I have had several therapists over time, and I have been impressed by their knowledge and professionalism, and patience with a senior whose arthritis complicates her activities. I will probably require a knee replacement too, and I plan to do my rehab at Banner. As a nurse, I really respect their targeted approaches to recovery. The equipment replicates day-to-day activities to start patients back to normal activities right away. He exercise regimen supports the targeted muscles and joints for stability. My recovery after my hip replacement went phenomenally well. My back is getting better and I fully expect to do well with my new knee. I have the carng therapists at Banner to thank for my recoveries.

Experiencia fantástica: After falling and fracturing a vertebra in my lower back, my doctor advised me to have physical therapy. I chose Banner Physical Therapy in Sun City for its convenient location. It turned out to be a great choice. I was able to quickly schedule an evaluation appointment, followed by 6 therapy sessions, 3 with Terri and 3 with Rex. I began to feel better almost immediately and soon was able to get around without the aid of a walker. The therapists explained things thouroughly, showing me exactly how to do the exercises at home. It has been 2 months since my accident and I am really pleased that I have recovered so well. I absolutely credit Banner's physical therapists for my success. I highly recommend them.
