Dr Maclang is very personable and professional: he took the time to understand my situation of needing pre-operative physical therapy to strengthen my knee ahead of replacement surgery, in about 2 months. He set me up with a good 'homework' exercise plan; and then does a great job of expanding exercises during twice weekly PT appointments. I highly recommend this office. Thank you.

Experiencia fantástica: Roy Carlo took care of my aging mother a few years ago for back pain. He is caring, kind, gentle, knowledgeable and thorough. My mother is better and has always expressed high satisfaction under his care. My mother is going back for another therapy for another problem and we requested for Carlo to take care of my mother because I know she will be in better hands.

It was easy to reach them and make an appointment, and my physical therapist, Kaz, was knowledgeable about my injury and quickly helped me learn exercises to address it. I also liked that they open early in the morning so I could go to an appointment before work. Would highly recommend for anyone in need of physical therapy.

I’ve been to several physical therapists over the years and, though honestly I do not love exercising in general, I would choose this PT going forward when I need it again.

I thought all PT clinics were the same. I was wrong. I called Select Physical Therapy. It was the only office that returned my call, AND was able to get me an appointment for the next day. The space is beautiful. The equipment is up-to-date. The therapist, Mat Zembal, was more than REALLY, REALLY intelligent. He was calm, kind, and truly cared that that I recovers. Like the Therapy Whisperer, he encouraged me to do my homework in a way that I am actually working out at home! I give Matthew Lembal and Select Physical Therapy a Billion stars! You will too! XO

Experiencia fantástica: I have been treated at Select (formerly Hunt) since 2015 for various injuries and regularly after my failed cervical spinal surgeries in 2012. The staff is efficient, caring and attentive, but I always go out of my way to make sure my insurance sends me to Select because of the quality care I receive there from Carlo Maclang, PT. Carlo is the reason, in my opinion, that Select Physical Therapy 1111 N. Brand Blvd is a success. Carlo is prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and all the perquisites for someone in his position. But he’s more than that. He is caring and compassionate and will do everything within his ability to help you heal. Let’s face it, physical rehab facilities are a dime a dozen. When you meet Carlo, you will feel like you’ve been escorted into a royal household. His manner and demeanor is *always* consistent, no matter if there is a pandemic, if the traffic was horrible on a given day, or even if the Dodgers are on a losing streak. He knows to to build and maintain a team, even under the most challenging of situations. Imagine this: a facility filled with patients who are in pain (so they’re already upset, grumpy, on the edge, etc.), and a front desk that is managing all the various ins-and-outs of scheduling and insurance companies. Even the most level-headed person can lose their cool, but not Carlo. He sets the tone and he’s the example they all follow. When the entire room is filled with upset, frustrated patients who are in pain, Carlo is the model of health and healing -- always cheerful, always interested in your progress, and always making time to do something extra to refine your exercises, treatment, or just a friendly word, when things get tough. IMHO, this facility and specifically Carlo Maclang, PT should be training the entire health industry with their model of care. I always go out of my way to request Select Physical Therapy, Glendale, and hands down, if you’re looking for physical therapy, from the most complicated issues to routine run-of-the-mill injuries, this is the place to go. It has helped me countless time, but it has also made me a believer that healing is possible.

Experiencia fantástica: I have never needed physical therapy in my life until recently. I suffered a dislocated shoulder over 12 years ago and it's been giving me issues off and on for years. In May 2020 I dislocated it again and this time I really suffered and struggled with the pain and all mobility, but because of COVID I was not able to see my doctor for months. So, a year later I finally saw my doctor, got my shoulder X-ray, and went to physical therapy for the first time ever! My experience at Select Physical Therapy was VERY positive from the time I entered the door until I left. The reception staff was very friendly and welcoming and the PT I worked with Moriah Morgan was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. I felt she really listened to me, answered all my questions, and model all the exercises for me before having me practice them. I did not feel rushed. I would highly recommend the facility to anyone. It appeared very clean, well organized, and parking was very easy as well, which is a HUGE plus in Glendale!

It's a nice sized place that practices strong cleaning practices as well as mask wearing from staff and clients so I feel safe being there. Stephanie Kiang is fantastic (there's 2 Stephanies there and they're both great). She's extremely knowledgeable about my particular condition and how to treat it safely and effectively plus she's very friendly and fun to talk to. I highly recommend this place.

I met Billy Lam during my first visit who did a full evaluation of my condition including range of motion and strength. In addition, he asked me about my goals and objectives and plans for the future. I was very impressed by how scientific his approach was. Billy's assistant Gaby was also extremely helpful. During the next 8 visits, they were able to help me achieve an amazing amount of progress. Each session was carefully planned to give me the most therapy and leave the session with an exercise plan that I could do on my own at home to get the fastest recovery possible. I highly recommend Billy and his team for all your physical therapy needs.

Experiencia fantástica: This place was a pleasant surprise from the moment I stepped across the threshold. Friendly, smiling faces at the counter greeted me warmly. I felt *special* and my foul mood was immediately lifted. I didn't have to wait long before my therapist was introduced to me: Lindsy. The energy was palpable...such warmth and kindness as well as attentiveness to my hip issues. She was gentle yet firm in directing my exercises. She gave me a sheet of instructions to take home and I faithfully executed them daily (well...almost daily, lol). Anyway I noticed a difference in my flexibility after 2 days and after my 4 visits there was a big change! Awesome progress. Another thing I really liked about Select Therapy is they give you ice or heat after your therapy session. I had an "ice blanket" placed over my hip and bad knee after each session. I left feeling GREAT. Would recommend this place to anyone needing physical therapy.
