The staff is friendly, the space is modern and clean, and most important the therapists are professional and knowledgeable. I have been working with Trace Sears, who has made the rehab process fun while also ensuring I am healing and strengthening appropriately. Trace has implemented a nice mix of physically challenging workouts, while progressing in such a way that protects my body from any further injury. I could not be happier with my experience and highly recommend this Center for any PT needs.

Well staffed because of the BU "interns". The parking is a bit tough if you drive, but not too bad. Well worth it. I've been going for months for a tricky injury and every session has been a good experience so far.

Experiencia fantástica: Louise is the best physical therapist I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I have fibromyalgia and a few areas of hypermobility. Louise takes into account my limitations without ever making me feel less-than. Her decades of expertise allow her to select the right exercises and provide modifications if things are too difficult for me at my current level. My body is thriving under her care! After less than two months, my overall pain is lower, and I've gained noticable muscle mass. Louise's energy is very good, and she knows how to keep my nervous system at ease, which is very important for keeping fibromyalgia pain low. I believe she truly cares about every patient and wants to help us improve our quality of life. I feel so incredibly lucky to be working with her that it's worth coming to BU from Dorchester twice a week. I truly believe Louise may be the best PT in the Boston area for complex patients like myself. In addition to Louise, I've had great experiences with the front desk and other staff, who are all warm and professional. I would give ten stars out of five of I could!

At the very top of his profession, IMHO. Seems to know everything about every joint in your body, and how to get them to all work in harmony. Plus, he’s a total joy to work with.

They've developed a set of exercises to strengthen other muscle groups to help support the areas around my knees. The exercises are helping - I'm feeling less pain in my knees now. Experiencia fantástica: I am so grateful for my outstanding experience at BUPTC. I worked with Chris Barucci and a BU DPT student named Simran. Both were so attentive, knowledgeable, and offered quality patient-centered care. They gave me numerous exercises that helped me heal from my lower back pain in 2 months. I am excited to continue doing the exercises they gave me, which are realistic to complete at home. They also gave me tips to make my work stations at work and home more comfortable, and those changes helped tremendously. I appreciated that Chris and Simran normalized pain and reminded me that my body's abilities and strengths will vary from day to day. They instilled in me a positive body image, which also reduced a lot of my anxiety. Finally, the front desk workers are super friendly and organized, the facility is clean with lots of equipment, and everyone working with his or her PT seems happy, and all the PTs seem so happy too! There is a general positive disposition at BUPTC. I would recommend BU PTC to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: Great staff and atmosphere. Staff ask about your life and hobbies and interests - you're not just a number or a miscellaneous patient. Lots of equipment options so you're not waiting around for someone else to wrap up. Clean facility and staff have adhere to COVID safety. I feel comfortable there and appreciate that each session is deliberately geared toward not just helping me recover but toward returning to the activities and goals I set at my intake. For example, I really want to get back to doing yoga so my PT advised me on different modifications as well as materials yoga mats can be made out of and helped me find one that won't slip on my wood floors at home. He even helped me find a retailer selling the brand I'd decided on so I knew what it looked like and how much it cost. Scheduling definitely can be tight so either your schedule needs to be flexible or you need to book out 4-6 weeks in advance to ensure you're getting the slots you want. Highly recommend!

Experiencia positiva: I've worked with BU Phyisacl Therapy Center for a few years now on ongoing Post Concussion Syndrome issues and they have been amazing! The trainers and help with concussion problems is awesome. My three star rating however is more on their back of house billing side. A majority of my recent visits were telemedicine and i didn't receive a single invoice from the center during my course of treatment. I knew from the past that my co-pay was $30 per visit so i knew I had some bills to pay but there was no way to find out how much i owed online or through my trainer. I called and asked if an invoice could be sent to me and was just told the amount i owed over the phone and to pay it on their online system (which doesn't require a reference number etc.). I requested on that call that i get mailed an invoice for my records which i never received. It's just bad practice not to keep patients informed about how much they owe, and not to automatically provide documentation. I have an FSA which i would like to charge these visits to but i have no record from them. I know switching to COVID poses challenges but it's important to keep patients informed of what they owe.

After being to a dozen specialists and physical therapist in the Boston area with no answer, I was lucky enough to get an appointment with him. His diagnosis was precise and clear and I’m looking forward to working with him to get results.

They always know just what to do to fix my problems, and they will work with you to make sure you're able to do your sport or activity again. Unlike other clinicians, she assessed my actual problem, and we immediately went to work. Three weeks into treatment, I am satisfied with my progress. PT is hard work, but Emma encourages me to keep taking those small steps towards my goal.

Experiencia fantástica: I worked with Trace before and after my knee replacement and am back playing tennis. Now 3 weeks after rotator cuff surgery i am back. He is well aware of what limitations of shoulder movement exist for the first weeks after surgery. I expected treatment would be massages, a little range of motion. Trace has me working on mobility and strengthening of all of the muscles around the shoulder that i can use. This will help get me back to playing tennis sooner and with more muscle strength overall than i expected. The expertise at this center is excellent, specific to what my capabilities are and the individual sessions are longer than any other place i have been.
