Experiencia fantástica: I had an incredibly stubborn plantar fasciitis that would not go away despite doctor support. Therapeutic Associates was recommended by a friend who said Chris Cooper had resolved her PF issues. Sure enough, Chris was amazing. He used a variety of exercises in the office and gave me instructions for home and I am now PF free. I'm back to running, hiking and living life without pain. It's amazing. Chris is thorough, measured and clearly a deep expert. I also appreciated the printed exercise sheets with images so I could remember what I was supposed to do at home. Thank you for giving me my exercising life back!

Breaking my hip after an accidental fall was devastating to me and I wasn't always in the best mood. But Lauren and I usually ended up laughing, hard, at some point in every session. She was able to fall into sync with me in a way that allowed the sessions to flow and progress. Ask for her by name...you won't be sorry!

Experiencia fantástica: Chris Cooper is the best p.t. person ever! I broke my ankle in October 2022 and needed surgery. The ortho guys told me there was no way I would ski in 2023. I love skiing and have had a ski tour business for over 30 years. I was determined to ski in '23. I met with Chris 2 weeks after October surgery and told him my goal was to be skiing by the end of January. He said that was a bit optimistic, but we would shoot for that. I sensed he believed I could do it. Between getting a new style ski boot that could accommodate my swollen foot, Chris's expertise and his pushing me to press into the work required, I not only met my goal, but exceeded it by skiing by mid-January, 8 weeks after surgery. I cannot speak highly enough about Chris. He helped me accomplish what every other person told me was impossible. Yesterday was my 30th ski day of the season and it was all thanks to Chris. He is the man when it comes to ankles.. that is for sure!

Experiencia fantástica: While I have been treated at other Central OR Physical Therapy facilities, I chose Therapeutic Associates PT at the Athletic Club of Bend at the urging of my wife who had an excellent experience after breaking her arm when falling on black ice. Am I ever glad I took her advice! Nathalie has been my primary therapist and has really hastened my recovery from painful back spasms. She very clearly explains and demonstrates home exercises and listens carefully as we work through in-office therapy stretches and movements. She is caring as well as extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend Nathalie and Therapeutic Associates to anyone who needs expert PT treatment!!!

He and his staff; from the reception to the assistants and the interns, all were professional and helpful. They all seemed to be focused on my physical well being and recovery. I felt like Dr Cooper took the necessary time to assess and diagnose my condition before he began any recovery recommendations. He then began an intentional plan for my recovery. After only about three months my mobility was vastly improved and correspondingly, my activities and use of my foot increased with reduced pain. Experiencia fantástica: I have had PT done by Chris at The Athletic Club in Bend for 2 knee replacements and a shoulder issue from slipping on ice. He was very professional and caring. He has a way of actually making PT productive and fun. I tried another company in Redmond, where I live, for the shoulder issue and it just did not work. So I decided to make the trip back to Chris and in 6 weeks the pain is gone! Especially for knees, PT is so important and needs to be started right away. I really suggest you go to Therapeutic Associates even if it means driving into Bend.

I really felt as if we were working together as a team. She engages you both from a physical and kinesthetic direction. Moreover, she provided me with excellent visual examples and homework to help me repattern and synchronize my breath and pelvic floor muscles. Experiencia fantástica: For the last six years, Dr. Laura Cooper’s healing hands have allowed me to continue my active lifestyle throughout pregnancy, injury, and after two C-section recoveries. I breastfed both my babies and had issues of clogged ducts and mastitis with both of them. Laura prioritizes care of moms and was able to fit me in on short notice, helping me avoid getting mastitis a handful of times. She strikes the balance of doing what she can within her scope, yet referring a patient to a doctor or specialist when necessary. Over the years, Laura and I worked on correcting improper movement patterns that started with each pregnancy. She thoughtfully observed my exercises (I lift weights) and made accommodations accordingly. She nearly always sent me home with exercises to do. The type and number of at-home exercises were manageable and even enjoyable sometimes. I did the exercises and witnessed my body respond positively as a result. We also worked on pelvic floor therapy, which helped me get back to a normal state. I look forward to every appointment with Laura, knowing that my body and heart would both be filled after. In addition to being a wonderful PT, she is an incredible human. Dr Laura Cooper approaches women’s health with a thoughtful, whole-body perspective. The office staff at TAI at ACB were always extremely pleasant. Every appointment I showed up for, they immediately acknowledged me, no matter how busy they were. They were very accommodating, understanding, and communicative when I would need to move an appointment. This is the best PT clinic I’ve ever been to, and I am deeply grateful for their care over the years.

Experiencia fantástica: Laura Cooper is my spirit animal! I've been working with Laura for over a year post double mastectomy. My recovery has been slow but steady and a many layered thing. Physical, emotional, spiritual. Laura has shown up with expert guidance, a home exercise program, love, and encouragement- every step of the way. I am a provider myself and can say that it is not easy to bring your "A" game EVERY day- Laura does it. Most recently, and unexpectedly, my lower back started to flare. Atrophy, much! She gave me an exercise and I was back in my garden within a couple of days. Literally. The debilitating pain has subsided and I am getting my life back. Experiencia fantástica: For those of us males of a certain age, with urinary urgency, frequency, nocturia, and sometime minimal incontinence, the pelvic floor rehabilitation program instituted by Laura Cooper is transformative. Laura worked with me one on one and in three sessions she provided me the means to ameliorate all my issues. I am amazed. Experiencia fantástica: I started coming to Therapeutic Associates when my left knee had a torn meniscus… Laura got me back to Pickleball and cross country skiing! And over the next few years both my knees were bone on bone needing replacement…and again Laura, through her excellent skills as a PT and her excellent attentive, listening skills got me back to cross country skiing, pickle ball and biking. Experiencia fantástica: When I first stepped into Therapeutic Associates a couple of months ago, I could barely walk or tie my shoes due to some lower back and hip issues that had gradually been getting worse over the last couple of years. In spite of my over-aggressive approach to rehab, Chris Cooper got me back to skiing and swinging the golf club without pain within two months. I'm very excited about where I'll be in the future by sticking to my exercises. Experiencia fantástica: I scheduled an appointment with Therapeutic Associates a few weeks after suffering a severe L4 disc injury. I was barely able to walk and the pain was severe 24 x 7. My first appointment with Chris was an hour and 1/2. He was incredibly thorough in his assessment. On my next visit he took me through various exercises and did some hands on therapy in the first several visits which gave me some good relief. While still barely able to walk, he took me into the weight room and walked me through a series of workouts using the machines. I didn’t think I would be able to do some of exercises he was putting me through. He was patient, thoughtful and encouraging as I struggled through each station. Each time I met with him he added additional exercises post each new assessment. Each week I dramatically improved and I was able to truly incorporate each exercise in a regular and consistent routine. I graduated yesterday and I’m happy to report that I’m physically stronger and more functional than even before the injury. Chris has provided me with the appropriate tools and techniques that Ive been able to incorporate into my life going forward. I’m also able to play golf again without pain which feels like a miracle. The entire staff was amazing during my entire rehab and I’m truly thankful for the exceptional care I received and I highly recommend the team and services. Game on!

I had a full knee replacement in the winter and feel really good about my road to recovery at TAPT. Chris Cooper is awesome. He listens, inquires, educates and coaches. He has a deep understanding of the Titleist Performance Institute system and explained everything exceptionally well. Chris tailored a realistic workout schedule for me that is fun and achievable. As an athlete, I understand body mechanics and functional movement. Every appointment I felt my therapist was prepared and 100% present! Experiencia fantástica: Back in late March, I broke my tibial plateau as well as my fibula. It was a traumatizing injury. After 7 weeks of non weight bearing I entered Chris Cooper & staff's care. I can't say enough good things about Chris & staff. Not only were they kind, sympathetic, and caring but they were also super encouraging and positive (everyday). Chris was able to help me avoid a possible doctor ordered "manipulation" on my knee. He listened, reassured, gave advice, and helped me avoid it. He also help me set specific goals to achieve throughout our time together. After 5 months of PT, I'm basically good as new after a traumatizing injury that many people don't come back from. I feel confident in my ability to get back to the activities I love; snowboarding, surfing, swimming, etc. I'm beyond grateful to Chris & the rest of the staff. Experiencia fantástica: I have been through 4 knee rehabs after injury and subsequent surgeries during my collegiate and professional careers playing football. I have had the best professional care during those rehabs whether at the University of Oregon or the Minnesota Vikings. I can say with no reservation that Chris Cooper and the folks at Therapeutic Associates at the Athletic Club of Bend provided me with the most comprehensive, positive and thoroughly effective rehabilitation I have experienced to date. I underwent a total knee replacement at Slocum clinic in Eugene on December 7th, 2021 and began rehab at Therapeutic Associates immediately after surgery. I also spent several sessions with them pre-op in the 3 months preceding my surgery. It is now 4 months after knee replacement surgery and could not be more satisfied with the results of working with Chris Cooper and Therapeutic Associates. Experiencia fantástica: When I decided to wrap my knee around a tree skiing, I thought my days of skiing might be numbered and worried about what recovery looked like and physical activities looked like moving forward. The information I got from my orthopedist was limited at best and it was not until I visited the team at Therapeutic Associates @ Athletic Club of Bend that I felt like I had a true since of the extent of the injury and a game play for how to move forward. Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient of Therapeutic Associates for the last 7 years. Laura, Chris and the whole office team are great! They are professional and fun. I regularly have injuries or reoccurring injuries from riding dirt bikes and mountain bikes. I love that I can have access to aqua therapy if needed as the club has a swimming pool. They offer stem work, standard and fire cupping as well as hands on. They practice top notch safety procedures and communication with all of the staff is excellent. You cannot get better treatment.

I had surgery on my ankle in September and was able to meet Chris Cooper at one of my games, I started working with him shortly after that. I’m was beyond happy with the progress I made, Chris was super supportive the whole time and helped me understand my healing process. I found myself getting excited to put in the work and see what else Chris could help me with. I played in my first tournament since injury two weeks ago and finally feel confident in my ankle again! Chris Cooper went above and beyond from the very start all the way to the end. Chris was honest about my son's recovery time while also instilling hope throughout each session. Experiencia fantástica: I worked with Chris Cooper of Therapeutic Associates for two months immediately following my total knee replacement in late January of this year. Chris is fantastic... extremely knowledgeable, detailed, motivating and supportive, and he'll help guide you towards full recovery. In my case, in addition to the goal of having full use of my new knee I wanted to get back to cycling, rowing, swimming, hiking and golfing as soon as possible. I quickly learned that if you put in the work Chris will help you get where you want to be, and I am now back to doing all those things I love. As a bonus Chris has a golf-focused specialty as well, providing me with a scripted plan to return to full golf mode over a 3-4 week period. I couldn't be happier with my new knee, the recovery process, the activities I am already doing or with Chris' guidance through the whole process. I would highly recommend him if you're in need of a great physical therapist.

Experiencia fantástica: Over the last 18 years I've been treated multiple times at Therapeutic Associates PT at the Athletic Club of Bend for low back issues stemming from a bulging disc and they have always gotten me back on my feet and active again. I've worked almost exclusively with Chris Cooper, PT, DPT during those times because of his expertise in getting golfers such as myself back to playing form. Chris and his staff have always been professional and attentive to my needs. They've always taken the time to answer my questions and address any concerns I have had during the process. In July of 2021 I finally suffered a bulge to the disc that required surgery which took place in October. After a six week post surgical waiting period, I started therapy once again with Chris which I have completed successfully to both of our satisfaction. I'm pain free and have the confidence I need to perform any task, including golf, that I set my mind to. I thank Chris, his intern David and all of the staff for their help once again. If I ever have the need for PT again, they'll be the ones I'll head to.

Last year I used them for a broken ankle. I was very concerned because I had to travel back to my home in Bhutan only one month after I started my physical therapy. They supported me through my whole journey with small tips about how to navigate the airport and how to continue my therapy by myself in a foreign country. He was very knowledgeable and dedicated to my care. When I initially went in for my first visit, I was unable to walk without pain and after weeks of treatment, I was able to walk and start to run again. He did an excellent job of explaining why I was having my symptoms and and what therapy I needed to do and why. Definitely would go back if I have any issues in the future.

I’ve done PT at other facilities but this one is top notch. Everyone I have worked with has been nothing short of courteous, professional and very caring. My primary PT was Laura Cooper and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. She is knowledgeable, caring and always professional. She takes the time to really listen carefully, assessing my pain, using various modalities, and making adjustments to my PT sessions to ensure improvements. Her assistants really took their time to ensure I was doing my exercises safely and efficiently. With the provided home workout and exercise program, I have less pain and I am very pleased with my progress so far. Experiencia fantástica: If you have suffered an acute injury, are working to recover from surgery, or even are simply looking to strengthen areas of weakness in your body, you'd be extremely hard-pressed to find a better Physical Therapy practice than the team at Therapeutic Associates at the Athletic Club of Bend. And I say "team," because that's honestly what it has felt like has been behind me as I've tried to recover from an acute knee injury and post-op recovery and restrengthening of degenerative joint issues I have. Chris Cooper has been my primary PT for this injury as well as previous injuries to the same knee and arthritis in my wrist, and I have grown to trust him intrinsically, as he has done an incredible job of getting me back to full strength quickly in multiple instances. But what is perhaps even more impressive is that through my many PT sessions with this most recent injury/surgery, I've also been assigned to four other therapists there (for various scheduling reasons) that have all acted in as professional and knowledgeable of a manner as I have become accustomed to with Chris. They ALL impressed me and made me feel comfortable and more confident in my recovery! On top of that, the service/front desk staff are a group of energetic, caring people that greet me by name upon arrival, go above and beyond to help with scheduling (and rescheduling), have helped me deal with frustrating insurance issues with prompt and thorough communication, and generally just add to the "team" feel of the TAI practice as a whole. I'd be genuinely surprised if there was a better Physical Therapy practice in Central Oregon, but there's no reason for me to try and find out, because this team at Therapeutic Associates has no flaws that I have been able to see. Highly, highly recommend for anyone that likes 5-star service and care.
