I ended up coming to Fyzical for intense chronic back pain because Joe had helped my mother with her plantar fasciitis despite her not finding ANY relief from any of her doctors or medical professionals she sought help from before. I, much like my mother, have had my pain ignored by my doctors In previous experiences despite it being constant. Being a 21 year old, doctors and friends alike did not seem to believe me when I described the amount of pain and stress I was experiencing. Within the first month of seeing Joe, he helped me discover that I have mild scoliosis and some other issues and continues to treat my case as serious as any other. Experiencia fantástica: I have been a patient of Fyzical in Oak Park for several years now. Their physical therapists always have a solution for whatever problem I’m having. The therapists ar available by email or text if I have a question or problem in between visits. The therapists and the office manager work together to accommodate me if I develop an acute problem. And if several months have passed they check in with me to see how I’m doing. Fyzical in Oak Park is not a “big box” operation, you get personal, professional attention.

My care has been tailored to my unique needs (Scoliosis, hyper mobility and joint pain).I have also gotten excellent pain relief from the dry needling they provide. My experience has been so much better then the generic PT I’ve gotten through all other mainstream PT business which continued to give me the same exercises, even though they weren’t helping!!! Joe is sensitive to my concerns, and comes up with strategies to keep me moving with reduced pain. I like going to a small clinic like this that provides 1-on-1 visits and personal attention. I have recommended them to others who have also been pleased. Update: I have developed some new problems with my neck and upper back and Joe is helping me develop muscle strength and better posture, and to do a new home exercise routine. He is very patient with all of my questions and need for repeated instructions! I am steadily improving and my earlier ankle problem is fully resolved. So glad to have this small personal clinic nearby with variable hours that work for me.

Experiencia fantástica: This is my leg that had frequent sciatic pain when I went in for care. It was mysterious but Joe figured out how to make progress and I am happy to report that my leg is no longer giving me the sinking feeling that I had blown a disc. Did that in 2010 and I will never forget that torture. This place has restored me before and after 5 Ortho surgeries and I continue to be in my high functioning state thanks to them and my Ortho docs.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been seeing the team at Fyzical for years. First for a herniated disc, and most recently for a shoulder injury. I'm not looking forward to another debilitating injury, but if I had one, I would definitely return. Joe did a great job getting my shoulder back to it's pain free state.

Experiencia fantástica: I have seen numerous PTs over the last 6 years for numerous injuries, and I have seen 3 different PTs for my current injury alone in that time. While I have worked with PTs in the past that I felt were alright, and ones I felt were great, I can say honestly that the treatment I have received from Austin at Fyzical Therapy is the best/most competent I have ever received. He is very honest with you about what your condition is/shows and how it may inform the care you’ll receive, and he’s honest with you if he isn’t entirely sure the proper answer to a question you may have about your treatment/prognosis (though based on how knowledgeable he is, he’ll very likely be able to provide useful answers to whatever questions you may have). Moving forward I will recommend any friends or clients I work with to see him if PT is needed.

Dr Todd put me on a regimen, and used this amazing back machine, and within 4-6 sessions, my back pain was gone. And it has finally stayed away and not returned! Highly recommend Dr Todd and the staff at FYZICAL.

Experiencia fantástica: I was in a car accident in 2018 and had multiple injuries including neck, hip, low back and concussion. I was treated by all the therapists for my many appointments not only because I wanted the expert opinion of each of the Physical Therapists' many years experience and technique, but also so I may truly be passionate about the excellent treatment each Therapist has to offer. I have been working at Functional Health and Wellness/FYZICAL since Ryan opened the business in 2009. I always have been extremely proud of my coworkers and we have built so many great relationships with our patients and our constant strive for the best care possible, but also being a patient myself has really confirmed that! We never closed during Covid, as an essential business, and this was so important for so many patients that needed in office treatment but also offering Telehealth to those patients unable to make it in person, we were able to accommodate when necessary. Especially since some patient's just needed a check in to ensure their home workstation was helpful, or to make sure home exercises were correct. Dry Needling has been so beneficial to all the patients that have been treated with it, I tried it and could not believe that was exactly what I needed to complete my course of treatment! So, thanks to Ryan, Lora, Katie, Eileen and Joe I was able to do all the activities I love including working out and playing soccer from the excellent physical therapy I received! I can honestly be passionate about the custom one on one physical therapy at FYZICAL Therapy/Functional Health and Wellness, not just from observing patients getting care here, but as a patient myself too!! Experiencia fantástica: Six months ago, the pain in my lower back and legs meant I couldn't walk two blocks without being able to move further because of radiating pain down my left leg. Functional Health and Wellness Physical Therapy (Ryan and Eileen) changed my life. They analyzed a walking disorder from an accident 40 years prior that was causing me to walk wrong resulting in serious lower back and leg pain. Other physical therapist I've seen over the past 40 years never caught it. After four months with Ryan and Todd I went to Disney World for five day, where I walked 8 miles the first day and averaged 5 miles a day the next four, all without pain in my back, legs, ankles or feet. Thank you to Ryan and Eileen for helping get my life back (and my back back).

I had the pleasure of working with Dr's Ryan and Lora and Katie recently for a back injury. They spend the entire session with you personally, are thorough, competent, and kind. The quality I liked most was they took care of the problem as it evolved and recreated treatment as the healing occurred. Do yourself a favor and talk to them about your physical therapy needs.
