Experiencia fantástica: I went to see Gerry after a doctor told me that I needed a total knee replacement. I saw another orthopedic doctor who said to try Physical Therapy. Gerry started me on some, what seemed like simple exercises. These exercises helped stop my pain. Other exercises were added and my knee feels fine now. As Gerry said, leaving PT is not the end. You have to continue the exercises that helped heal you. I would definitely recommend Boca Raton Physical Therapy Center with Physical therapists Gerry and Mary. They are caring and good at helping you feel better.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to Boca Raton Physical Therapy Center for hip pain. I had an appointment with Jerry Stern. Within the one hour my pain was almost gone and I learned my hip pain was caused from my lower back. Jerry took the time to explain and educate me on how what movements and exercises will eliminate the pain. He educated me on what I need to do if the pain comes back and what symptoms to be aware of. He provided me information on how to correct my posture and exercise to facilitate my progress. Honestly, this is the first time someone took the time to really help me understand what the problem is and how to manage it myself. I feel amazing and can now go back to my regular workout routine. Thank you Jerry for all your help. You are the BEST!!

Experiencia fantástica: I'm incredibly pleased with the results of my physical therapy at BRPT. After an injury to my shoulder, I was unable to raise my arm and complete even the most basic daily functions. I lived with extreme pain and had many sleepless nights (especially if I accidentally rolled over in my sleep). Thanks to Gerry at BRPT, I've regained all movement and I'm now completely pain free. Gerry is a true professional who thoroughly evaluated my injury and then taught me simple, but impactful exercises I was able to continue at home. More importantly, he educated me on the importance of avoiding inflammation, enabling my shoulder to heal quickly. BRPT utilizes the McKenzie Method (look it up), which was FAR BETTER than any "treatment" I tried at other area physical therapy centers. Be patient, follow Gerry's clear guidance, do the home exercise as directed, and you'll see results. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I started going to Boca Raton Physical Therapy because my son-in-law recommended them to me since they are trained in the McKenzie Method. He is a doctor in PA dealing with the spine. Both Mary and Gerry Stern are diligent and thorough in analyzing your problem and ensuring you understand everything they’re doing to help you. Mary helped me three years ago, and I just finished treatment with Gerry yesterday for a torn tendon in my foot. I wasn’t sure about the exercises I was taught at first, but after a few visits, I was more at ease. I have been taught well and will be performing my workouts at home now. The office is well run, with Ke at the front desk. Ke is very welcoming and friendly. I was always taken to my appointment on time or close to my scheduled time. The office is clean, and they will clean the rooms and equipment after use. It’s a great practice, and I highly recommend Mary and Gerry.

Experiencia fantástica: Unlike Humpty Dumpty,with all my spinal problems they were able to put me back together after I suffered a fall from vertigo and gave myself a compression fracture. When my stage of recovery seemed stagnant, I was able to explore different avenues and she reassured me that it was ok, and I slowly but surely recovered. Even though I did not work with him, Gerry is great as well, he is very observant, analytical, and even a good coach, as he told me I need to push harder when doing cardio.

Experiencia fantástica: Two days ago I limped into Boca Raton Physical Therapy Center for an appointment with Jerry Stern. I was missing work as a faux finisher with a swollen knee that was so painful to walk on, never mind climbing scaffolding and ladders. Within the one hour appointment, not only did my swelling go down but I was able to walk out instead of limping. I told Jerry Stern is magical! LOL Honestly, he is brilliant. I feel amazing and can now go back to work on Monday. He also saved me hundreds if not thousands. I had planned on going to a Doctor, getting and MRI and so on. For a small fee in comparison he diagnosed my knee as being a mechanical issue and with light exercise movements I can reduce swelling and pain on my own. Thank you Jerry for all your help this week and through the years. You are the BEST!!

Experiencia fantástica: Boca Raton Physical Therapy Center is the reason that I am walking pain-free and not taking any medications for what was an extremely painful situation with my left knee, hip & shoulder. They practice the McKenzie Method to do 'root cause analysis' to determine the real root cause of your pain and then to provide you with movements and motions to relieve the root cause at the musculoskeletal level. WHAT a novel idea!! Fix the root cause instead of treating the symptoms! And the 'fixes' are movements that you can continue to do at home to keep the same situation from recurring! Gerry has twice found that the source of my extreme hip, leg & knee pain was the result of a disc in my back. He gave me the correct stretches to do at home and I was pain-free in a week. Sounds too good to be true but it's exactly what happened...Twice! Mary & Gerry and the McKenzie Method are how medical care for these type of things SHOULD work. Fix root cause! They are the best!! Oh, and that beautiful, personable Receptionist! She's the BEST!! Give these folks a try before you let someone cut on you or prescribe you a sack of pills! And they take my insurance!

When I came to her I could barely walk. because of her I’m able to independently move and go about my day. Experiencia fantástica: Drove 800 miles just stopping for gas, and my back gave out. Acute pain in lower lumbar region of back. Couldn't sit or lie down. Intense pain on bending. Took muscle relaxers, used a TENS unit (which blocked the pain temporarily), tried back braces, deep tissue massage, all to no avail. Couldn't sleep. Found BRPTC and saw Mary Stern, PT, Cert. MDT. She assessed my problem, and instructed me how to reduce the muscle spasm with an exercise that eliminated the spasm, and all symptoms on the first visit. I never appreciated how debilitating back issues could be but for the week I went through it, my personality changed, and not for the better. It's already one week since I saw Mary and the pain has not come back. I can't praise BRPTC enough.

The first time I consulted with him was after seeing two orthopedists, who recommended surgery and cortisone injections; not ready for either of them, I decided to seek physiotherapy first. Gerry was recommended by one of the orthopedist and he managed to resolve my problem with the McKenzie method after 4 sessions! I highly recommend Boca Raton Physical Therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: To continue my PT for a herniated disc, my PT center in Michigan insisted I see a McKenzie Method physical therapist and, on my behalf, located Boca Raton Physical Therapy Center. Gerry was terrific -- competent, analytical, thoughtful, encouraging. And the McKenzie approach was excellent; I learned important things about my own physiology along with strategies to address discomfort and avoid recurrence. The nurse practitioner in my PCP's office had pointed me toward pain management, injections, and possible surgery. Instead, I'm equipped to control my own spine situation with uncomplicated exercises instead of invasive treatment. Kudos to Gerry and the McKenzie Method!

Experiencia fantástica: I'm 61 and athletic and have had chronic, moderate to severe degenerative disk disease in three joints of my cervical spine for 30 years. I've gone to docs and therapists several times over the years. It always hurt and was getting to the point that I could no longer bike or surf and thought surgery might be my only solution. Gerald Stern changed my life. Between his spinal therapy and teaching me how to regulate, I am essentially pain-free and I have my life back. Thank you, Gerald Stern!

Experiencia fantástica: My mom went here for a 'mechanical evaluation'. We weren't sure what to expect, but were very happy with the service and care. Gerry was excellent. His evaluation was thorough and was very patient-centered. He asked excellent questions and truly listened to the answers. He helped develop a program that alleviated my mom's pain almost immediately. Which was great, but even better was the fact that he taught her how to treat herself. Experiencia fantástica: I had extreme lower back pain when I first visited Boca Raton Physical Therapy Center. There I met Jerry and Mary Stern who run the facility. Jerry was very thorough in his questions to me so that he could have an understanding of my problem and be able to recommend specific exercises to alleviate my pain. After 5 visits I am now pain free and have been shown exercises that I can do to stay that way. Facility is clean, and I never had to wait to be seen. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: They say " You can't teach old dogs to new tricks". They are wrong. I'm 89 yrs old with a balance problem which made me walk awkward. I started therapy with Mary 2 months ago. After 14 sessions,working hard with her, we both think that my gait is almost normal. Mind , i'm not walking like a 21 year old athlete, however, good for my age. She is gentle, and has gone the extra distance to assess my issues and work with me to remedy them. In such a short time, my pain was significantly decreased and my mobility came back. Experiencia fantástica: I am a five-time cancer survivor who has been on crutches for 43 years due to the osteosarcoma diagnosis and hip disarticulation of the right leg I underwent in 1975. To no one's surprise, my back started giving me a lot of problems a few years ago. I found BRPT and the Sterns thanks to my doctor, who referred me to them in 2016. Since coming under the care of Gerry and Mary Stern, I have not only enjoyed a very substantial reduction in my back pain, but I have learned how to manage it and other musculoskeletal pains resulting from crutching over the last four decades. I have also learned to exercise more effectively so that I might strengthen my body in a manner that my aging body now requires and that will lengthen the years I will be able to ambulate independently. The knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail exceeds that of the many other physical therapists I have worked with over the last two decades. I strongly recommend anyone with musculoskeletal issues to consider them for help. I would not refer my dearest friends to them , which I do, if I felt any other way.

Experiencia fantástica: The first time I went to the Center I was referred to Gerry Stern by my physiologist, and I was glad I was. Two doctors said I needed back surgery, I was in such pain that I almost allowed it until I tried one more doctor who said try PT with Gerry Stern and we will see what happens. Gerry is an outstanding diagnostician, he zeroed in on my problem and designed ways of moving and exercises and I am all but pain free. The next time was for my neck, again he found the cause and with a few visits he designed a program that has me looking up, literally and figuratively. I recommend the Center without reservation, I have told many of my friends about him and one told me, "Yay! Finally someone who can help me!"
