Experiencia fantástica: Unfortunately, I have had a lot of physical therapy in the last 10 years. None can compare to the care I have received at the Palm Beach Institute of sports medicine. The front desk people have been nothing but kind and accommodating. Stephanie Fried has been my main therapist and occasionally Melissa Clark and Regine Rossi. I have gotten the best care I have ever had, and cannot give high enough accolades to this team of wonderful professionals. Stephanie thank you for putting me back together again.

Experiencia fantástica: I was hurt in another state and was very nervous to come back to Florida because I heard the healthcare is not the greatest, just moving here. I’m very thankful to have met my two physical therapists Jason and Kathryn. They are so good with patients, and I’m sure I’m not the greatest! But they are very kind and compassionate and I feel they really care and are great cheerleaders when you’re having a moment! both of them are amazing alone, but being able to work with both of them has been such a blessing! Because being able to use a limb for the rest of your life is huge. This has been one of the toughest seasons of my life. Thank you for all your energy Jason and Kathryn!

Experiencia fantástica: My first experience at PBISM, was immediately following my total knee joint replacement surgery. I was starting at ground zero, but could not have felt more comfortable and confident with both my PT Juan, and his assistant Saul. I have been working with them now for 7 months! 2-3 times /week, and have seen a dramatic improvement in strength, allowing my return to the many activities I love. It has been a perfect combination of support, encouragement, expertise, push, and patience. They have made a huge difference in this long recovery.

Experiencia fantástica: Injured my left knee, this was my first real injury in my entire life and I had no idea what to expect treatment to be like. My Orthopedic doctor recommended Palm Beach Institute of Sports Medicine-FAU for physical therapy, and from the first phone call to the last session I was beyond impressed. I worked with Paula and Matt as my Physical Therapists, and no only were they professional and kind, but FUN! From the front desk associate Ivy, to even the other patients, Palm Beach Institute of Sports Medicine-FAU makes PT fun not stressful. I looked forward every week to my 2 sessions and always felt that I was in capable hands. The PT team was relatable, friendly, flexible, and willing to listen to all my PT needs, even outside of the injury I was prescribed to come for. I can't say enough how amazing my experience was with Paula and Matt, I was fully recovered in roughly 2 months and back to my expertise routine of running once again. I truly thought I would end up needing surgery but with the thorough guidance and PT plan Paula and Matt gave me I was up and running in no time! thank you guys for all you have done for me! Experiencia fantástica: After surgery on my heel and plantar fascia I was recommended to go to these guys for PT, and I could not be happier with the service provided and amazing results. Stephanie and Renee were both amazing in their approach with my injury, focusing on massage then slowly escalating levels of strength and endurance. Stephanie was incredibly thoughtful in understanding my goals of getting back to running after 2+ years off, and she always had that in mind with every massage, exercise or stretch. We used the anti-gravity treadmill which is such an invaluable tool at helping me start to run but without my full body weight on the injured foot, and we gradually increased the body weight so my foot could get use to the strain as I ran. Stephanie was as well a great listener and just a great person all around. Thank you Stephanie thank you Renee and thank you to all that work there you got me back on the road and smiling with every step!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a fantastic institute! Keely Brown, my therapist, and Tatiana were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Moreover, they were so agreeable and positive, always concerned about my wellbeing... we shared interesting stories and their communication of what I had to do at home was clear and helpful. The institute is equipped with up to date technology and machines I had never heard of...Within a very short time my rehabilitation was completed. I highly recommend PBISM !

Experiencia fantástica: PBISM is a wonderful physical therapy practice. I'm thrilled to have found this place a little over 2 years ago and have been consistently treated with great care in every single appointment. From shoulder, hamstring and knee injuries, Paula has diagnosed the issues quickly and explained, in detail, the root causes and how the recovery phase will progress. Paula is patient and understands the circumstances of how the injury was caused in the first place and how to avoid re-injuring specific muscles. The treatments that happen on-site provide pain relief and a plan to work towards after each session. Take home exercises are easy to understand and actually work! My treatments included strengthening and increasing flexability exercises, in order to prevent further injury and also get back to running in the shortest time possible. If you are like me, and have multiple possible injuries, the exercises given take this into account so you don't have to unnecessarily hurt something else. This is underestimated in physical therapy appointments and can save you a lot of recovery time! I would recommend PBISM and Paula to anyone looking to understand their injury as well as get started on recovering from it as soon as possible. Thanks Paula!!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been Jackie Burton's patient for several months as an alternative to surgery for a torn rotator cuff. I've made wonderful progress regaining use of my left arm. Jackie is professional and knowledgeable and makes me feel very well taken care of. She's friendly and encouraging. In addition to a variety of on-site treatments, she has taught me home exercises that have helped as well. Jackie has even become our family PT as last year she treated my husband for back and leg pain successfully. If you need physical therapy, I highly recommend Jackie.

Experiencia fantástica: Palm Beach Institute of Sports Medicine is a fabulous physical therapy and rehabilitation facility. I was diagnosed with a re-torn rotator cuff of my predominant right arm in September. Surgery was not an option for me since there is only a 70% success rate of a second repair. I was in extreme pain and really needed help. I knew that I needed to go to PSISM for treatment and physical therapy. I had been there a few years ago when I first moved down to Florida for a foot injury, and they were wonderful then. Heather Ramos and Matt Butler have been working extremely diligently to develop my muscles around the tear to avoid a second surgery of the rotator cuff. The strength and range of motion in my arm is so much better than when I started therapy. Heather and Matt have become great friends of mine. They are very caring and dedicated individuals who are compassionate about my pain and my recuperation. They are extremely experienced and knowledgeable of Red Cord therapy, and many different strategies, to alleviate my pain and rehabilitate my arm without another surgery. I am very grateful to them for their care of my situation and my recuperation. I watch Heather and Matt with other patients, and they care so very much about everyone. They are the very best!!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a patient of Dr. Paula Gomes for most of the past 13 months after suffering a spinal cord injury from multiple back surgeries. The result was nerve damage affecting my right leg and creating significant weakness and an inability to walk without a cane. I can say that there is no better place to recover than PBISM. Paula is fantastic to work with and her bedside manner is wonderful. She recognizes 100% of my issues not just physically but also the mental toll that a long rehab can have on someone. In addition, her support team of Joe and Kailey is unbelievable. They make the most of my sessions and push me the right amount to succeed. The encouragement and guidance they provide is invaluable. I started working with Joe and he understood my limitations but he made feel comfortable and wouldn’t let me get discouraged. Kailey has taken over with the schedule change and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the progress I’ve made. She makes me work hard and doesn’t let me slack off. While I have more work to do, know in my heart that the progress I’ve made is a direct result of my PBISM team. In my opinion, they are the best and I am so glad that I found them in my time of need. Everyone in the facility is friendly and encouraging. They are not only my therapy team but a part of my family. I would recommend them to anyone!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I began my PT at PBISM after a few months at a different physical therapy provider because PBISM came highly recommended. I broke my patella and my elbow and was struggling with rebuilding my left leg. The team at PBISM, specifically Tatiana and Stefanie, were amazing and have done miracles with my rehab. Stefanie has overseen my plan and has approached it with the right balance of aggressiveness and care. And Tatiana had been nothing short of fantastic to work with. She has pushed me, supported me, challenged me and the progress I have made with her in less time than I was at the other provider has been so encouraging and positive. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoy working with Tatiana and Stafanie, they’ve been exceptionally professional and their collective skills have been very impressive. I would not have made the progress I have made without Tatiana and Stafanie. I highly recommend anyone who needs PT go to PBISM, they are the best. Ask to work with Tatiana and Stefanie, they will work you hard and you will get stronger with every session.

Using evidence based practices to rehab my condition, the resident therapists Matt and Heather have helped me to reach several of my previously unattainable fitness goals. In the "gym," Tatiana and Joe helped me to build an exercise and stretching regimen with constant feedback from the therapists and me. Experiencia fantástica: I was treated at PBISM (FAU) for a torn rotator cuff from November to March. I want to thank PT Paula and her assistant Matt in providing the physical therapy with compassion, care, and with interest in the improvement of my well being. Both also had an excellent bedside manner. I also want to thank Exercise Physiologists Kailey and Sid. Both ensured that I was conducting the exercises correctly and provided encouragement and praise. And let's not forget the front desk workers who were courteous, personable, and stayed on top of scheduling. "Where everybody knows your name" seems to apply at PBISM. Should the need arise, I would not hesitate to return.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to PBISM for the past few years due to multiple surgeries. I started with Connor and Blythe when I had my left knee replacement. Then this past year I had complications from a hip surgery when I worked with Blythe to strengthen and teach me how to walk. She is patient, kind, and pushes you until she knows it’s time to stop. She is a concerned therapist who goes out of her way to care for each individual’s needs and helps them on the road to recovery. Their office also is very helpful and professional when setting up appointments. At this critical time they are also on top of their game with protecting patients during Covid and making sure the place is safe and clean. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Experiencia fantástica: I recommend it! I attended PBISM FAU location. Everyone there is professional, friendly, and dedicated to their work, starting from the front desk staff, therapists, through doctors. My doctor was absent, and I had a chance to work with several people; all were fantastic! Thanks to that situation, I learned several different approaches and exercises for my condition, and I use what fits me most. Despite the pain in my back, it was my pleasure to come there for therapy. Special thank you to Joe, who made sure I did exercises correctly, even when he was busy assisting others. I am incredibly grateful for that. I also appreciate the positive and friendly atmosphere from everyone that I met there; it was a mental therapy in itself. I was “working” for my condition for years; therefore, the fix is not immediate. I feel much better after therapy, and from now on, I will need to do exercises daily. Thanks to PBISM, I know which exercises to do, and I’ve learned to do them correctly.

Experiencia fantástica: I have lived in S Florida for almost 30 years and have had physical therapy at many different facilities. PBISM is the BEST one by far. Between the physical therapists, the punctuality, and the efficient office, they get 5 stars from me. I just completed my PT with Jenna Platt for my Achilles tendon. Between the massage therapy and the variety of strengthening exercises, I feel so much better. I just completed all my therapy and will continue to do so at home, thanks to the program she provided me with on my last day.

I had a torn bicep and a complete tear in my rotator cuff which was repaired with surgery. She guided me through simple exercises in the beginning,, stretching to relax the tight muscles. to the final strengthening of my shoulder muscles while explaining everything I asked in detail.. She repeatedly asked me if I was OK after every exercise. Jenna is one of the best physical therapist at PBISM.. Ask for her.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to physical therapy for about 2 months now and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my results and the people who’ve helped me accomplish them. When I first started I was honestly barely able to walk because of an old sports injury with my knee. When I called in the girls at the desk where awesome with giving me all the information I needed and letting me know the next steps to get started. Then when I got to my first appointment the atmosphere of the place was awesome, everyone one was so nice and polite! I met Paula first and with our conversation I felt she genuinely cared about what happened to me and actually wanted to get to know me and help in any way possible. Then my next appointment I met with her associate Matt who has been amazing! He has made all my exercises fun and interesting so I wouldn’t feel as if I was just there to work on my knee and leave. Sydney was the next person I met because she was the one who walked me through and helped me with all of my exercises. She really pushed me to want to get better and to understand each workout and what it helps. All of these humans have made my physical therapy experience amazing and honestly I wouldn’t want to leave. I feel that through this whole process they cared tremendously on my recovery and it feels nice that they cared and not just treated me like the next patient on there schedule. I would recommend them to any and all people who might need physical therapy. Thank you guys so much again!!!

Experiencia fantástica: PBISM is an amazing place. The staff and facilities are phenomenal. My entire family has come here for their physical therapy needs and they say the same. I've had 3 ankle surgeries from a sports injury and PBISM has helped me so much. Paula is by far one of the best physical therapists I have ever worked with along with PTA Matt. They make you feel like family and help you every step of your recovery. Joe made sure to always talk with me and encourage me while I did my exercises and stretches, being there every step of the way. They're personable and they care about how you feel and what you need. They all made it their mission to make me comfortable and make the most out of my recovery process, no matter how uncomfortable the process itself was. Paula, Matt, and Joe exceeded all of my expectations on physical therapy and helped me get back to normal. I've been to many physical therapists but I always come back here because of how great their team and service is. After 3 years of going to PBISM, I was happy to be healed but sad to leave. The atmosphere and care that they provide is unmatchable.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place! Great staff! Great techniques! Great equipment! Great Results! From the initial phone call to the last appointment, PBISM is a very professional organization. Dr. Dana Van Pelt, founder and owner, is an expertly trained and experienced physical therapist who sets the example for his team. Starting with a thorough exam and evaluation, goals are established and a plan is put in place to achieve them. This allows the patient and therapist to monitor and measure progress. While PBISM is a state of the art facility with the latest equipment and the therapists are trained in the latest techniques, the patient's efforts, as directed, are key to success. I know this from experience...twice...for running injuries and recoveries. The first time it was for Achilles tendinitis. More recently, after many years, it was for recovery after foot surgery. Both times Dana and his team got me back on the road. But having that plan in place and watching progress towards the goals kept me motivated and doing the required work. I could see progress after each session, which kept me coming back. And, I'm still running! PBISM is a first class establishment and I highly recommend it for physical therapy.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to PT for about a month now and have really enjoyed my experience here because of the wonderful staff. You can tell the staff really cares about their patients and they provide a very comfortable environment. Tatiana usually helps me with my exercises and has been extraordinary. She is so friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging and definitely makes the visit enjoyable. If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't be as motivated to come.

Experiencia fantástica: I needed intense therapy on my shoulder after surgery. Tore 5 ligaments. The team of Jordan and Nate was fantastic. I felt like they knew what they were doing and I had great confidence in them. I credit them with my recovery and ability to keep surfing, swimming and stand up paddle race. Their work got me back to being able to complete the 12 mile Key West Classic. In fact I liked them so much after my son suffered a traumatic compound fracture of his leg, I sent him to Nate and Jordan to worknthier magic and get him back to walking and running. My son is really liked both of them and his comfort level was huge for his recovery.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to PBISM for 2 separate issues, and both times the care was excellent. Particularly, the last time, when Jenna was my PT. She is extremely knowledgeable about anatomy and my neck issue has disappeared, hopefully forever. If not, I know where to go the next time. I’m always a little skeptical with therapists because I know there’s a lot of them that don’t have the greatest patient outcomes. However, that is not the case here! My PTs Matt and Paula have been exceptional and their techs/assistants are working to the same standard. Joe, especially, has been absolutely fantastic! He doesn’t just hear my needs, he listens to them—and it shows! He’s been incredibly personable and observant to make necessary adjustments to my body mechanics and/or routine to ensure I’m getting the most out of every minute I’m there. I love working with him! If you need physical therapy, this is the place to go!

Experiencia fantástica: I broke my ankle almost two years ago and still have pain. I have been going to PBISM for approximately six months. This rehabilitation facility is truly state of the art and the entire staff is wonderful. Kira and Olivia are at the front desk as you enter and are very polite and helpful. My PT Stephanie is very knowledgeable and caring and I am very happy with her expertise. My Sport Trainers are Joe, Kailey and Tatiana. They truly care about you and your specific goals and are very encouraging and supportive. When the workout is at its most difficult part, they push you until you succeed. I highly recommend going to PBISM for your rehab.

Experiencia fantástica: I came into PBISM because of a few different people in my life that had quality PT post surgery and I had torn my ACL in Feb 2020. I came to PBISM for post op PT starting in March. I was with a few different teams but settled with Jordan , Nader and Joe. They all gave me the manual myofascial relief through my recovery, a space for mental recovery (especially during the pandemic) and Joe challenged me in the exercises with great attention to my form and ability. I'm very grateful for my time recovering at this PT office. The space is also the best I've seen. Open functional movement space and private spaces for manual work when needed.

PBISM was a great fit for me in the sense that they provided the individual attention I needed and always pushed me to be my best. During reps in the gym Joe knew what I could and couldn't do and would always push the limit in a good way. He also was fun to work with and will one day be a great physical therapist.

Experiencia fantástica: Now 7 weeks post op from ankle surgery to repair a triple fracture of the fibula and tibia I can’t emphasize enough the positive impact PBISM physical therapy has played in my recovery progress. It starts when you are first greeted by Maggie with her jovial personality, patience, and enthusiasm to get you started. Then you will work directly with an incredible group of therapists. I cannot express how grateful I am to be working with Dr. Jeff Hart! The patience, expertise & approach he delivers specifically for you with patient education, preparation, understanding, setting expectation & goals, empathy and patience to answer all of your questions & concerns is first class! I as well am grateful to be working with Kristian, Amanda, Jordan, and Andrew. The overall experience with every one of these folks to guide you through your exercises, educate in form & technique, what not to do, purpose, and excellent camaraderie is way beyond the expectation I have. Going through physical therapy is much easier when you are working with genuine people who have a genuine interest in your recovery, health, and not being just a rep counter.

Each time I had therapists who really cared and showed the highest level of professionalism. Everything is overseen by Dana and all the therapists show the greatest respect for each other and for Dana, their mentor. This time I was fortunate to work with Marianna who is very knowledgeable, kind and caring. She is definitely an asset to PBISM. As a result of my physical therapy sessions I have shown tremendous improvement in both movement and strength.
