Experiencia fantástica: My husband had heart by-pass surgery at LSU in Sept., 2014. He received excellent care and we were very well treated by everyone there. I applaud everyone who cared for him and thank you all so much. The only thing I can think of that would have made our stay better was if there could be a coffeepot or coffee machine for the public on every floor, so you don't have to traipse down to the 3rd floor or the basement to fetch coffee. I don't drink it, but my husband the patient wanted it on demand.

Experiencia fantástica: I think University Health Hospital is awesome, they have the best surgeons, equipment, they take the poor people, they are kind (98%) of the staff and they have saved my best friends life 3 times. So if you had to wait 8 hours to be seen, (like they all do) and went in with an attitude, I'm sure your attitude rubbed off on them! Thank God for University Health!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I do want to start by pointing out that I waited no less than 25 hours in a cold waiting room before being assigned to a bed which is really not okay at all. Nevertheless, all staff was so extremely friendly, knowledgeable and they took the time to listen to my concerns and questions. I felt safe and listened to. At the end, that’s what mattered most to me at that time.

Experiencia fantástica: I was seen to quickly after I arrived to triage my care,of course the test and blood work and vitals were done very quick now the wait for answers took very long time waiting but after they got all test back then ordered more test,then had to wait longer,the wait times are very long,but I felt so bad I didn't care cause I just wanted help,now some with urgent needs,emergencies were of course taken sooner and I understand that,but once I was seen by doctors after all test came back the doctor s explained to me the condition I had and what I may expect and what I need to do,The doctor was very caring and smart and explained things to me where I understood,and the nurses were very caring and proactive,and the PA was awesome to. I'm very satisfied and blessed to have treatment there.the whole team there is very thorough, I'd say bring a pillow and dress in warm clothes cause it gets cold in there and pack a lunch and water .and I brought my medicine in case I was in ER long time so I wouldn't miss my medication. There doctors are very smart

A big shout out to Dr. Guthikonda and the Neurosurgical Team, Neuro ICU nurses David Thompson, Allie, Valerie, and Dr. Lori Greer who oversaw mom in ICU. Experiencia fantástica: Had a major surgery. I only have good things to say about my experience. The nurses were very caring, respectful and always there when I Needed them. Thankful for them all. Dr’s were great also. Everything went above my expectations. April on 6k was amazing.

Experiencia fantástica: I was quickly greeted and checked in once I entered the emergency department. Within 10 minutes I was saying and sent back to see if Physician. The physicians quickly assess the situation took the proper steps to ensure my safety, and to know how to proceed via a sonogram and x-rays. I was given pain medication as soon as they were assured that I had a ride home. And once that took affect my hand was numbed with lidocaine they made a small incision and I was sent home with an antibiotic. Everyone was very courteous and very professional they all listen to my situation and then proceeded with assessments and procedures to assist me. It was the nicest emergency room visit I’ve ever had never had very many I have had a few.

Experiencia fantástica: I was recently here at the hospital for Open Heart Surgery and was very pleased with my stay. My doctor was Dr. White. Him & his team were wonderful.The nurses & other doctors were also wonderful.

Experiencia fantástica: From the first time visiting to days leading up to my surgery (hysterectomy/rectocele repair) every single staff member I encountered (security, PACU, check-in clerks, surgical team, lab technicians, nursing staff and medical everyone else I didn’t mention) were all very professional, compassionate, understanding and respectful. Dr. Michael and her team heard me! They listened without judgment, they considered my feelings and experience and was willing to rearrange my surgery around my child and family’s life/school schedule. Not one time did I feel as if my voice wasn’t being heard nor did they make me feel small for not being able to fully express my concerns into words. The PACU/surgical team were caring, understanding and helpful with this procedure, making sure I wasn’t met with any surprises or inadequate care. The nurses who cared for me after my care showed me that I wasn’t just a patient, but a human being. They were friendly, understanding, and went out of their way to make sure I was recovering well and showed professionalism throughout my stay. I cannot thank this staff here enough. You all are greatly appreciated and thank you for all that you do!

Experiencia fantástica: Had an accident at home and injured myself pretty bad. I managed to drive myself to the hospital. Following quick assessment I was taken to the code room due to injuries. X-rays, CT and ultrasound was done. I was taken to a private room given meds for nausea and pain. The numbing shots hurt the worse before the stitches. The doctors and nurses were kind,caring and compassionate. This is definitely the hospital to be at when suffering trauma. I couldn't be more pleased with my treatment.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred from about 1 1/2 hrs away. From the movement we walked in you could tell everyone genuinely cared about my health and well being. They would apologize if there were any delays and do everything they could to make my stay comfortable.

The hospital itself was clean outside and inside so I was pleased I will go back to the emergency department and I will recommend them to everyone

Experiencia fantástica: If you're trying to decide between going to WK and Oschner LSU, GO HERE. PLEASE don't go to wk Honestly, this place is slowly getting a TON better. It didn't used to be very good, from what I hear, but having had to go here extensively for the last 5 years, I can say they are kind, professional, compassionate, and the facilities are getting overhauled. I would trust here when it comes to my life. Not so with wk.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred from Alexandria and had to drive 123 miles each way to this ER. I lost my private insurance and my specialists back home won't see me in their private offices any more since I have been on Medicaid. I have been suffering for months waiting for community clinic appointments. I expected a nightmare but was delighted with the level of care, compassion and understanding I received in Shreveport. I was there for 3 hours. They hand out heated blankets for your comfort in the waiting area. They got me through lab work, x-rays and pain meds very quickly. They saw how badly I have been suffering without proper treatment back home and made a plan to get me the care I need at their facility. No one will treat me like a second class citizen any more and I can finally begin to recover. The long trip was absolutely worth it because it was priceless to be welcomed and heard at last. Looking forward to getting better now!

Experiencia fantástica: 7K Telemetry night nurses are the best. They all are some hard working ladies. Mr. Larry the male nurse is awesome and kind to everyone. I have never experienced nurses who work hard as they do. They are very compassionate and caring.

Experiencia fantástica: Ochsner LSU is the top place in north west Louisiana to go. They have Drs. that are making breakthroughs in their specialty & releasing papers on their studies. The staff are all pleasant, polite & professional. They make sure to greet & speak with you no matter what their job is. I’ve been in & out of this hospital at least 4 or 5 times in past year for different issues so this is a recent review. I started with Ochsner being unhappy with what other hospital chain in area told me I was just going to live with situation I was in.

Experiencia fantástica: Our daughter was in a major car crash and was transported to The hospital. The front desk lady researched my family’s insurance, medical information prior to our arrival. I didn’t have to waste time filling out paperwork and they brought us back immediately to where our daughter was. Their care and compassion was over the top from the front desk lady to the nurses to the doctors. Our daughter was released within a very reasonable timeframe and was released.

Experiencia fantástica: I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance from West Monroe Louisiana. This is been the best hospital I’ve ever been through. I was very sick They took very very good care of me. Make sure I was comfortable it was very clean and were very friendly they were very helpful they made sure no matter what I was comfortable I wanna thank you urology department and seventh floor K wing from the lady that cleans the room ,the lab ,the doctors and nurses the assistants everybody that makes 7K awesome YOU ROCK !

Experiencia fantástica: My fiancé had surgery here and he was in recovery for 4 1/2 hours the nurses on the 10th floor are amazing. They were hospitable kind and supportive while I was worried about his condition. Thank you for the compassion that was showed to us during our stay. Thank you to the surgeons and the medical staff that took care of him.

Experiencia fantástica: With this pandemic they are short staffed but I was involved in a major car accident and sent there. I spent weeks in the hospital.. They were the best from top to bottom. They were so understanding tried to keep me as comfortable as they could. Even treated my family with respect. Just sad we don't have enough people working in the Healthcare anymore but when they were busy my family started helping doing everything they could for me to take the load off of them.

Experiencia fantástica: I lost my Father on Sunday October 24th in the ICU at LSU. While it was hard, it was also a relief since he had been in so much pain recently. Beyond that, I wanted to take the time to thank the staff in the ICU for their compassion, patience and overall attitude during that difficult time. His nurse was spectacular and answered ANY questions we had while we were there(there were a lot). I’m also forever greatful for the compassion that hospice displayed as well. The kindness from everyone made a lot of hard decisions a lot easier. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: The doctor and nurse, I believe her name was nurse Bridget, went above and beyond to make sure I was the most comfortable I could possibly be and took interest at all of my needs and concerns and was very prompt at giving me the help that I needed and make me feel like I was family. I will be recommending this hospital to all my friends and family in the case of an emergency and they need to be seen in the emergency room. We need to have more more doctors and nurses just like the ones that were assigned to me as me being their patient. Thank you LSU Health Shreveport for your kind and continuous care to make sure that I was taking care of and was informed of all of my conditions or any side effects of medication that I was given. I will be recommending this hospital to all of my family and friends in case of an emergency and they end up have been to be seen in emergency room setting.

Experiencia fantástica: I found the staff very caring. I was in the waiting area for my appointment no longer than 10 minutes. This is a teaching hospital. As such the staff is very busy at times. I did witness more than a few patients being less than friendly to the staff and MDs. Almost like their sense of entitlement was violated. That was sad to witness.

Experiencia fantástica: Rosie, the lady in the call center is AMAZING!!! Not only did she resolve my problem, she also updated my profile. Where I've asked other people to do so, with no prevail! Rosie, is amazing at her job, I think, the company should compensate her. Whether it be a raise or bonus, she definitely is deserving of a reward.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a great experience Dr. Williams is amazing. I wish there were many more doctors like her. Her staff did an amazing job to get us to the back in a timely manor. Dr. Williams even called my husband on Saturday to check up on his medication. She is an asset to her patients as well as the hospital. We need more doctors like her that actually love their job and truly care about the welfare of their patients. Thank you so much V.Williams... Experiencia fantástica: I was just there for almost a week. From check-in via Day Surgery, to anesthesia, to OR, to MICU and then to a ward, I was treated with compassion, professionalism, attention and personal concern by doctors, nurses and staff who (mostly) didn't know me from Adam. Like virtually every healthcare facility, they're probably overworked (and definitely work long hours), but I tried to keep that in mind when I (very rarely) waited more than a few minutes after pressing the call button. There's a lot to be said for attitude, even when it can (admittedly) be difficult.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband was airlifted here in 2016 for burns from electrocution. They were absolutley wonderful to us in the Burn Unit and took good care of my husband. He had a skin graft done later in day surgery and they were very good to us. I had back surgery in 2019, it was day surgery. I went home pretty quick but they were nothing but nice and helpful with everything and my 2019 my, then, 4 month old granddaughter had a brain bleed and I cant even describe the gratitude, patience, helpful, caring and so much more, they were to us and my grandbaby. They took excellent care of her. I love LSU Shreveport hospital

Experiencia fantástica: Easy appointment to schedule, sign in easy process, quickly taken when I have waited much longer and expected to wait. Nurse assessment quick taken to exam room. Dr. in and thoroughly examined orders labs and procedure. Labs done quickly, returned for procedure with similar as first visit. Dr. thorough and quick, answered all questions and orderd meds and follow up visits. As a nurse I've worked in at least a hundred hospitals and as a patient I've been in an average number. This happens to be at the top of my list. Couldn't have had a better scenario. Pleased!

Experiencia fantástica: Our granddaughter was treated at the burn center here about 5 years ago. They doctors, nurses, physical therapists, just everybody, were amazing. We are thankful she is with us and are so grateful to y'all. She loves the burn camp each summer, keep it going!

Experiencia fantástica: Our daughter went in a week ago and was admitted to a room on the 5th floor pediatrics ward. She had to have her appendix removed. The nursing staff on her floor, the O.R. staff and surgeons were all absolutely top-notch, amazing and very professional, kind and carrying. She received the best care we could have ever hoped for.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband was life flighted in to LSU Shreveport after a fall caused a traumatic brain injury and massive brain bleeding. He has other health issues as well like Congestive Heart Failure and Parkinson's Disease. The neurosurgery team and without fail everyone we have come in contact with have been kind, caring and very forthcoming with answers to our questions. Saved my husband's life. Thank you for always being there for him and us.

They have saved my life and taken care of me like I was family. I have had 3 surgeries here in the past 2 months. They are great and I would recommend them to anyone who needs help. They also have assistance for people with finance trouble.
