Experiencia fantástica: The team at ALTA is outstanding! I know there a lot of physical therapists and Pilates instructors in Boulder but the holistic, team-oriented approach taken by Jane and her staff is unsurpassed. They go above and beyond when it comes to client care. Whether you are a professional athlete or a weekend warrior or you just enjoy being active, ALTA is the best place to recover from a sports injury or surgery and to address chronic pain issues. I can't say enough positive things about ALTA!

The physical therapist, Ashley, took her time with me to get to the root of my problem. She developed a plan of care that included specific exercises that she demonstrated first and then had me do under her guidance. I have always believed that I was receiving exceptional treatment at Alta. I'm looking forward to resolving this physical issue under her care.

Patients are treated in a quiet and friendly manner from the moment they walk in the door. Most important, they are effective in treating whatever the PT-related problem is or referring you to the right resource. Never had a better medically-related experience.

All staff are welcoming. Alyson Friday is very knowledgeable. She observes me carefully, comes up with good ideas for me to try, handles the dry needling painlessly. She gives me hope I can stay painfree.

Experiencia fantástica: When I came to Alta I was in pain from a herniated disc that sent me to the hospital. I was told I needed to do 8 to 10 weeks of physical therapy so I went to Alta and met with Ashley, my physical therapist. Within 4 weeks of working with Ashley I was pain free! My neurosurgeon is amazed that somehow I am not in pain because I do still need surgery due to continued nerve weakness. Being pain free was a gift and it's all thanks to Alta and Ashley. Thank you for giving me back a sense of normality and strength in my life during a difficult time and a very scary injury!

Experiencia fantástica: I am elderly and suffer from arthritis. On my first appointment, everyone was attentive and friendly, happy to help. My PT focused in on my problems with walking and balance, and by means of well-directed questions and a thorough physical examination, she identified their key source and then prescribed exercises while simultaneously demonstrating how and why they worked! Not magic -- her skills and experience clearly guided her efforts. I'm grateful, and now it's up to me to follow through on her instructions!

Experiencia fantástica: Came to ALTA to see Dr. Bodine about a nagging neck issue. I was impressed by his ability to carefully examine and assess the issue from various perspectives (asking me questions, performing manual tests, watching me climb, etc.) and not only provide me a few different exercises to address the issue, but also encourage me NOT to come back but rather email him if any issues arose or if any questions came up in the future. Healthcare isn't cheap, and it's rare to find a facility or treatment provider who is genuinely concerned with treating the issue and getting you on your way with the goal being to not return. While I won't be back for the neck issue any time soon, if anything else comes up I'll be sure and see Ross again.

Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday was my first visit to Alta PT in a while, so I had forgotten how wonderful they are. Ross (my PT) heard my concerns and my pain, answered my questions carefully and the exercises he had me do immediately started me on the road to feeling better. I have to keep it up, and that's on me, but I'm confident that I will improve under their care.

I was quite pleased, as she was patient, detailed, compassionate, and gave me realistic exercises to do at home. Experiencia fantástica: I credit Alta with helping nurse me back to life after a motorcycle accident that almost killed me. I had so many injuries it was hard to know where to start. Not only are their services comprehensive, but they have a terrific balance of traditional physical therapies as well as complimentary ancient and cutting edge modalities. I utilized PT when trying to rehabilitate atrophied muscles from nerve damage and lack of use from bed rest, pilates when learning to breathe correctly again from a collapsed lung, body talk therapy to deal with trauma from the accident, dry needling when I was trying to revive a paralyzed arm, on and on. Their practitioners are well rounded with younger as well as seasoned professionals with a wide range of disciplines, backgrounds and knowledge. There was never a problem I had that was not met with some idea, solution, or work around for my particular situation. I learned a tremendous amount about my body, my psyche and the connection between the two. I can honestly say that this is something I’m grateful for from my accident. I’ve written this review because places like Alta are very rare. So many of the knowledgeable, wise and experienced practitioners in my area are reaching retirement age and there doesn’t seem to be the same quality of practitioner to replace them. But at Alta, Jane has ensured her vital knowledge and wisdom is being passed on to the next generation. This has created a truly one of a kind place of healing that I am extremely fortunate to have been referred to. Most things in my body healed thanks to Alta (and a couple other key angels) and although my paralyzed arm will remain “broken” my broken spirit was absolutely put back together here. I could never thank them enough.

This is absolutely the BEST group of PTs in the Boulder/Broomfield/Longmont area- probably the best in the state!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Ross Bodine for climbing related finger strains and a wrist injury I sustained a few years ago that was causing discomfort. Ross was thorough in the evaluation and made excellent observations of my movements that were exacerbating my injuries. The exercises he prescribed and methods for taping were very helpful and I have seen excellent results. As soon as he saw that the treatment was working he did not pressure me to continue to visit and has made a point to check in to make sure that everything is progressing well. I highly recommend Ross, if you are pushing through pain he will give you a good analysis and targeted exercises to get you back to moving pain free.

I would recommend Alta Physical Therapy without reservation to anyone in chronic or acute pain. They are warm, professional, and remarkably skilled. Experiencia fantástica: I had been having shoulder issues for about five years and was at my wit's end before I came to ALTA to see Ross. Ross addressed one of the main issues causing me pain that so many other chiropractors, massage therapists, and physical therapists had ignored: my negative mental state surrounding my "injury". I put that in quotes because through Ross's encouragement and positive, can-do attitude, it became clear to me that the majority of my symptoms were not stemming from structural issues caused by over-exertion at the gym many years ago, but rather, they were induced by mental factors such as stress and habituation to pain. Within three months of treatment (roughly 5 sessions), I began rock-climbing and backpacking, and I continue to do these activities completely free of pain. I would highly recommend ALTA to anyone, no matter where you are on your journey to recovery and full health. The facility is awesome (a rock-climbing wall with holds that light up?! an anti-gravity treadmill?!), the staff are amazingly accommodating and kind, and the therapists really pay attention to you and your needs.

Experiencia fantástica: I have complete trust in Dr Russ at Alta! I’ve seen him a few times with sore or tight muscles and he’s given me the exact care I needed to relieve the tightness or soreness. I highly recommend him or any of the other Doctors at Alta.

Experiencia fantástica: My sciatica had gotten so bad that I had to stop my daily hikes and had difficulty finding a comfortable sleeping position. I had 8 sessions withRoss Bodine over a span of 4 weeks with amazing results.He determined which core muscles needed strengthening and taught me a series of daily exercises. .As he tested me and watched me do them and listened to my feedback, he was able to adjust and modify (individualize) them.I am hiking again and can change positions in bed without pain. I can't put a price on the results .

Experiencia fantástica: I had two experiences with ALTA with knee replacements. I worked with Scott Swan, a consummate professional and several of the Alta staff all of whom were top shelf. My second knee replacement was a year later. Once again I worked with Scott. He knew when to be supportive, and when to push me to work harder. He was aware of my goals and always used his skills to help me meet those goals. I am forever grateful

Experiencia fantástica: I had a total hip revision (i.e. a replacement of a 35 yr old first replacement) in June. My surgeon was excellent but he is a member of a large corporate practice in the Denver Metro area. The corporation tried to refer me to their own Physical Therapy services, but I asked instead to be referred to Alta-- one always has this option BTW. The team approach at Alta put me under the care of Ross Bodine for rehab PT and Erin Brooks for strengthening PT via Pilates. What a remarkable combo of talented practitioners! Ross and Erin worked together to restore function and return me to activities I enjoy such as road and gravel bike riding and hiking. I am pain free and enjoying a maintenance regimen of Pilates going forward. The broad array of treatment available at Alta was instrumental in a speedy recovery that made a very positive impression on my surgeon in follow-up visits. Look at my last name and you will guess that I am a longtime fan of Alta; but a new hip doesn't lie either! I am better faster because of the talents of Jane's colleagues.

Experiencia fantástica: Jane’s work and insightful therapy has changed my life and my relationship with my body. She helped me to discover some genuine healing that talk therapy was not able to access. I was carrying emotional trauma in places in my body that I didn’t realize. Not only did she help me solve some chronic hip pain she gave me incredibly simple and easy to do home exercises that allow me to breathe into the spots that can lock up and hold pain. I feel empowered after working with her that my body knows how to heal and recover. She was a light in a dark year for me!

Somethimes I wonder if I had to leave town would I ever be able to find such a great diversified group. I have back issues, strength and pain issues and all seem to be addresses as I need.

I've worked with a few different PT's for issues ranging from chronic back pain, knee injury resulting in major surgery, and a broken ankle. I've worked with Lori since I started going their 9 years ago and I still work with her today. She is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to the body, and I would also have to call her magical when it comes to how she works with the body and knows exactly what it needs to heal properly. I can honestly say she gave me my life back because when I first started working with her I was in chronic pain 24/7, and that is no longer the case.
