The doctors, specifically Lacy and Sean, were knowledgeable and attentive, making me feel confident in my recovery process. Overall, Rekinected Physical Therapy is an excellent place for anyone looking to intern in the field or needing physical therapy care. Experiencia fantástica: Due to various sports injuries and surgeries I have had physical therapy (PT) at a number of facilities over the years. My experience with Jaclyn at ReKinected Physical Therapy was the best that I have had, and if I have a need for PT in the future I would without a doubt choose Jaclyn and Rekinected. I went in for PT following a surgery to repair a hip labrum tear. Jaclyn was great to work with and is clearly well educated and trained in understanding the body and what needs to be done to promote the healing process. She was able to find a great balance between when to push a little and when to back off. Jo at the front desk is a pleasure to work with and made scheduling a breeze. If changes to scheduling were needed she was easy to communicate with and made changes quickly and accurately whether in person, via text or email, or on the phone. Jaclyn was so dedicated to helping me get back to normal. She got me ready for my second surgery and we jumped right into recovery the next day! She had purposeful exercises that pushed me and gave me lots of strength to get better. My knee is the complete opposite of how it was when I first came and I’m so grateful! Experiencia fantástica: This is, by far, the best PT facility I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot of them on both coasts over the past 25 years as a competitive athlete). The PT’s are excellent - top notch diagnosticians, extremely effective practitioners, and an absolute joy to be around and work with. The facilities are awesome- I’ve been working out at the Carlsbad location and it’s a gym / warehouse / casual but hard work gets done sort of place. Love it. I’ve been working with Sean Siemens for 7+ months on multiple issues, and the results I’ve had are incredible. Best PT I’ve ever worked with, and an amazing human being. I tore my meniscus and the Ortho said I would need surgery to be pain free. I ended up canceling my surgery because of the early improvement I had with Sean, and I’m now close to 100% without ever going under the knife. My shoulder had major issues as well and I’m now pressing more weight than I ever have. I’ve learned so much from him about how the body works and I will take that away for the rest of my life. His expertise, his support, and his encouragement has been phenomenal. To say I’m a satisfied customer is an understatement!! Aside from Sean, all of the PT’s that I’ve observed first hand (the owners Britt and Mike, Lacy, Jaclyn, CJ) are at the top of their profession and very talented therapists. Jo at the front desk is a joy to be greeted by when you go in and a great communicator who keeps everyone on schedule and keeps things functioning smoothly. Everyone genuinely cares about the patients and they work collaboratively to get the best results for everyone. Oh did I mention they take insurance?! Very rare to have a top quality, private PT clinic be in network with insurance. I can’t recommend ReKinected PT enough, and feel so lucky and grateful that I was referred here last year. They are amazing to have in my corner; I haven’t felt this well taken care of since I was a college athlete with dedicated trainers and resources. Thank you Sean and team for everything!!

Experiencia fantástica: Where do I begin?! I worked with Dr. Jaclyn Stermer Astrove at ReKinected Physical Therapy after my knee replacement surgery in August 2024. I thought this would be one of the most difficult times in my life and being a very driven, resilient person - I didn’t feel like I had any of it in me at the time. Jaclyn was a godsend! Anything you imagine about going to PT, would be completely opposite of ReKinected! Superior facility, latest equipment, innovative solutions and approach to PT - along with the most qualified staff you could hope for. Jaclyn’s very strategic approach to PT, incredible background and experience led to a fast road to recovery, building confidence, strength and optimal performance of my leg. I felt immediate trust in Jaclyn, and with the other highly qualified PT’s at ReKinected. When I started, I felt very fragile but we instantly went to work. Not only would I highly recommend Jaclyn, I would advise you MUST go to her! Other advice? Commitment. Stay committed to your therapy for a minimum of 6 months. We worked past the needful, range of motion, flexion, etc.very quickly. However, your recovery needs much more than that to end up back at 100%. You need strength training, alternative therapies mixed in with physical exercise. You need to engage with how balance work is so key to your stability and strength. When you commit to Jaclyn, you get 10000000% commitment back. She is with you for the journey! I am #grateful and blessed that I went to ReKinected!

This practice exceeds all others. I cannot recommend it more. Dr. Sean Siemens is by far the most attentive and caring and real PT I have ever had. That said, in this “open” and comfortable environment, I am exposed to the other therapists and they all seem exceedingly proficient and professional yet make you feel like part of the larger family. Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Jaclyn as a PT. I'm recovering from my fourth ACL tear and reconstructive surgery and so I really wanted to take it slow and recover properly. She took the time to understand my situation and what my goals for recovery were. She is attentive and manages the amount of pain I feel. She is knowledgeable and has a plethora of different movements and exercises to help strengthen/stretch targeted muscles. I have just started running and jumping again and my knees feel strong and almost back to their full strength.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a patient of Rekinected for 1-2 years. My experience with this PT clinic was fantastic from start to finish. I was diagnosed with patellar tendinitis. I was assigned to Sean S. DPT. Upon meeting Sean I knew right away we were going to click. He has a warm, caring calming and inviting personality but more importantly explains things in great detail that makes sense and is easy to understand. He is an incredibly knowledgeable PT. He introduced exercises that I would have never dreamed of ever doing to help my condition. Moral of the story is—they worked. I never felt rushed or made to feel like just a "number" at Rekinected. The facility is clean, modern bright and airy and perfectly designed to achieve your therapy goals. The front staff is super friendly and accomodating. Caveat: Therapy slots book up very fast so schedule your session weeks and weeks in advance to guarantee a specific day and time.

Experiencia fantástica: Jaclyn Stermer is a consummate professional; knowledgeable, informative, and caring. Having gone through hip and knee surgery, I felt prepared for my rotator cuff recovery. However, that was not so. I was extremely weak with little shoulder mobility and at 73 years old, I was concerned with the chance of full use of my right (dominant) shoulder. Jaclyn took total control of the sessions and with masterful skill and encouragement, guided me to a place of strength and stability. It’s been a five-month process and Jaclyn has been my beacon of hope. I want to say thank you and I unconditionally recommend her to all who are seeking the best care.

It’s hands-on treatment to address your specific problem. My Therapist even makes videos for me on my phone to take home, so I don’t forget the exercises. I didn’t think my shoulder was ever going to get better. But, I was wrong! I’m back surfing and my pain is minimal. The staff is delightful and works with you to coordinate benefits with insurance. Experiencia fantástica: I’m 12 weeks post-op for a meniscectomy on my right knee. There was a 7 week delay post surgery before I could get into physical therapy which allowed for continued swelling, bruising, muscle atrophy, and almost complete loss of mobility. I had the great fortune of starting my knee rehab with Lacy, a Rekinected physical therapist. The results were staggering. She followed a process driven, data-supported approach that produced extreme results. Each day I was able to notice increased mobility, reduction of swelling, and increased stability and strength. I am now back to my life doing the physical activities I enjoyed prior to my injury. I offer my highest recommendation to ReKinected and especially to Lacy for driving the results I needed!

I came in with severe neck pain and tension from chronic stress that was interfering with my ability to work and exercise. She not only helped massage and stretch out the muscle tension in every session, but she taught me about the anatomical causes of my pain and showed me numerous stretch and exercise routines to consistently treat and prevent further pain and injury. I haven't had relief like this in years - not only is my pain and tension gone, but I feel so much stronger and more capable in sports and in my workouts! Her diagnosis and explanations are so thorough and helpful for me to understand, and I appreciate how she combines her immense, in-depth anatomical and physiological knowledge with her genuine care for and engagement with me as a patient. Experiencia fantástica: I have to say Brittany is amazing! I had a labrum surgery in my right hip this January and I am playing for the US U20s national rugby team on July fourth. In only 5-6 months Brittany had me at professional level again feeling better then I ever had. Without her help I would not have been able to achieve these goals. You may be asking "who's Brittany?" She is the smartest and sweetest person I have ever been in contact with. She personable, tells funny stories, and is the partner owner of ReKinected Physical therapy. She personalizes strength training, table work, and stretches to meet the needs and goals of her clients, (definitely not a one-size-fits-all kind of place). On top of this the work space in the gym is fabulous at both locations, and the staff are super friendly. The greeting woman at the front desks are lovely and are trained to happily answer all insurance and money questions. If you have any sort of injury this is the place to go. You will see fast result, feel at home, and be in great company the whole time! Only go here if you are alright with feeling appreciated and taken care of.

Jaclyn assessed my needs and then set clear personal goals to strengthen the necessary muscles to regain an active lifestyle - that meant she also stressed and educated me on how important it was for me to do my exercises at home every day. Her ability to adjust and modify my therapy as I progressed has worked! I’ve received one-on-one personal attention and this has been critical to my healing. This is not a “volume” shop where a therapist tells you to lay down alongside 20 other patients a foot apart. I really like this facility. She listened to all of my concerns about discomfort through the process and revised my exercises to further challenge my progress. Experiencia fantástica: I have been seeing Jaclyn Stermer for the past 6 weeks for a myriad of problems with my knee and hip. The improvement has been phenomenal. I brought in my MRI reports, she interviewed me, looked at the reports, ran some “tests” and knew just what to do with me. What I like about her is that she is so serious about what she does, yet personable and kind, because I am serious about getting better. She is a great resource for me; she can answer any question about the interactions of muscles, bones, tendons etc. She’s so very knowledgeable. I’m in much better shape to have my knee replaced. I still have a ways to go but I can now walk normally and sleep on my side. I’m stronger and my balance is better. I’ll definitely be back with Jaclyn for post-surgery physical therapy. I highly recommend this practice and Jaclyn. I tried physical therapy before at a different practice and really gained nothing.

Everyone on their staff is amazing and welcoming they have the best environment to be in while you're recovering. I received my treatment from Jaclyn Stermer, she is the coolest and kindest person I have ever met. She is truly one of the only people that I would trust going to with any injury because she got me stronger and quicker than I was before and back to the field and playing a lot sooner than my surgeon thought I would. Experiencia fantástica: Nina Wheeler is the best physical therapist that I have been to. A friend recommended her after I had complained about not getting results with other PTs. When I first started treatment with her I was in some level of pain every day. Her treatment plan is flexible depending on what my body needs. She is knowledgeable,easy to talk to and explains things in a way that I can understand. I live in Sorrento Valley, about 20 miles from Rekinected but I have improved so much with her treatments that I continue to schedule twice weekly appointments with her.

Experiencia fantástica: Most PT clinics have you with a Physical Therapist for the first 15 minutes of an hour session, then you are paired with a junior level assistant for the prescribed exercises or treatment. At RK, you are with a Physical Therapist for the entire session, which makes an enormous difference in every aspect of your recovery. Dr. Samagh referred me here for knee pre-hab and post meniscectomy rehab. I have been working with Dr. Sean Siemens throughout the months-long rehab process to get back into playing golf and a full season of skiing. Sean is a patient, caring, and motivating therapist that draws out the very best results with his attention to detail, expert knowledge and thoughtful approach. Experiencia fantástica: A couple of years ago I had toe fusion surgery. I needed help to revise my walking gait. As well as rehabilitate my leg muscles that had been non weight bearing for 8 weeks. Brittnay at ReKinected worked with me on strength, flexibility and swelling reduction. Along the way we spent some focus time on varies accute pain resolutions. Today I am able to wear all my shoes again and I am happy that I can walk as much as I care too without pain. We trust Brittany so much that my husband had her help him with a hip issue.

Brittany was my therapist and she was so friendly and knowledgeable! I looked forward to seeing her each time as I knew she would make my knee feel better and she's such a fun person to chat with as well. At one point she noticed my good knee was clicking and so she made time to work on that one as well. When I went on vacation, Brittany was happy to videotape some exercises I could do while I was away. I highly recommend this place and would go back in a heartbeat if need be.

Dr. Mike took me under his care during a very uncertain time of my life as I sustained a completely torn ACL and MCL injury. Prior to my injury, I was a full-time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach and competitor--I wasn't sure if I was ever going to be able to train or coach again. The first day of my therapy, Dr. Mike's confidence in his knowledge and his encouragement gave me hope that pushed me throughout my entire recovery process. I enjoyed the fact that he didn't allow me to baby my injury but he challenged me while also providing a firm foundation to build my confidence back. His knowledge base is incredible and all of the movements he had me do were all very practical, especially for an athlete such as myself. I was walking without crutches three weeks after my surgery and I was back to training six months after! Not only was I training sooner than I thought was possible, all of Dr. Mike's help put me back on track to be able to receive my black belt a year after my surgery! It was one of the most important days of my life and the Rekinected team helped me overcome and achieve this goal of mine that I have worked on for 9 years. Brittany did an outstanding job discovering the problem behind my injury; she also facilitated the rehab superbly. Her techniques are efficient and numerous. Experiencia fantástica: Michael Hollstegge is one of the greatest medical professional I have seen, period. He makes me feel truly heard and seen, no matter what is going on. The space they are located in is clean and bright, the energy all the PTs create is fun and loving, and I could not recommend a place more. I was sent to Michael via my surgeon after a hip labrum repair surgery. We have been working together for 5 months now through all the ups and downs. Whether I am having a good or a bad pain day, Michael is 100% present to me and always knows how to bring positivity and encouragement to my situation. Even though I initially came to him for post-op treatment, he is also helping me with the two ruptured discs in my low spine. He goes out of his way to help me with all my aches and pains that arise, not just what I was sent his way for. I was in physical therapy for a year at a different business prior to trying ReKinected. ReKinected far surpasses my prior experience because of their emphasis on manual work. Exercises are of course helpful, but nothing comes close to the pain relief I experience from physical body work. At ReKinected, the PTs do not shy away from spending significant time performing manual work and that is truly not something I can get elsewhere. I have seen all kinds of people from all walks of life and all ages at ReKinected. There truly is a place for everyone here and I feel incredibly grateful to be a patient of this wonderful company.

After years of ballet, tri-training, and tennis, I had a torn hip labrum and finally had surgery. Michael worked with me before the surgery and now we are in recovery PT. He is thorough, thoughtful, and deeply knowledgeable in the steps needed to get me back out on the tennis court! His team is awesome as well - always a positive atmosphere at the clinic/gym! Experiencia fantástica: I am an active 50-something who slipped while walking my pack of dogs - not the dogs' fault :) - and broke my shoulder - badly. Never a great thing when the orthopedic surgeon says "You have a very rare and serious break - I've never fixed one of these before and neither have any of my colleagues!". Suffice it to say, laparoscopic surgery was not possible, I have a several inch long scar now, and after 3 months of immobilization I started rehab barely able to move my shoulder in any direction. While the pieces were put back together by my excellent surgeon, it was not completely clear that 100% return to function would be possible. I am a professional scientist with an intense job, an avid hiker, gardener, dog lover and need that shoulder to work fully! My orthopedic surgeon said rehab would take at least a year and that what I achieved within the year would be essentially the most I could hope for long term! Enter Brittany Revell at ReKinected PT!! I have been working with her 2-3 times per week for the past 6 months and while rehab has been long and at times disheartening, Brittany has expertly guided me to >85% function so far and I expect that, with her continued support I will get to 100% within the year! Brittany is deeply knowledgeable about human anatomy and function and guides me without hesitation through body work, stretching, and strength and conditioning. She is gentle and sensitive (absolutely essential in the early days when pain was significant) and yet confident in her touch and approach to the therapy. She clearly has a plan and introduces new activities exactly when it seems that I am ready and able to move to the next level. Brittany is encouraging and supportive and also a wonderfully open and friendly woman with whom I thoroughly enjoy spending 2-3 hours a week. My PT appointments are actually something I look forward to each week because I KNOW that without them my shoulder function would just not have improved as it has done so. Finally, I have had the opportunity to work a little with Michael Hollstegge and at every visit see the whole RKPT team in action with each other and other clients. The vibe of the office is one of professional collaboration and camaraderie coupled with obvious dedication to excellence as they practice their craft of helping people with injuries, physical limitations, and pain return to optimal health and function! My husband had shoulder replacement surgery with rotator cuff repair 3 weeks before we arrived in Carlsbad for a month, and had just been cleared for PT. He got right in with Nina and she has been amazing! He needed passive assist PT. He has gained so much mobility and is able to move his arm more than he has in years. We are sad to be leaving Carlsbad and Nina’s care.

She started working with our son when he was only a couple months old, to help with Torticollis from birth, as well as a high palate and tongue and lip tie. She was incredibly kind, gentle, and thoroughly explained all the things she was doing, also showing us how to do the exercises at home. She is patient and thoughtful, and highly skilled at what she does. He continued seeing her to work on strengthening his core and neck. She helped us with tummy time, sitting, and crawling and has seen us through so many developmental stages in his life so far. We could not be any more grateful for her care, her humor, and her (very obvious) genuine love of what she does. I suffered a bad back injury that forced me to quit playing golf both competitively and for my school team. However, after working with Michael, he has been able to get me back into golfing and helped my back injury improve a lot. Michael is very experienced and can always help me feel better after every session. Michael, being a fellow golfer and athlete in many different sports, is very knowledgeable about a wide variety of injuries from all different sports. Experiencia fantástica: My experience with Brittany Revell could not have been better. I've had an intermittent, chronic knee issue for the past 4 years which seriously impacted my enjoyment of the outdoors (hiking, MTB, skiing, etc.). She diagnosed a popliteus tendonitis, which had not been suggested by multiple previous practitioners, and tailored a personalized treatment plan which has made a big impact. The facility is clean and state of the art, with a large, high ceiling, workout area, containing free weights, medicine balls, a Tonal machine, and anything else you need. PT can be challenging and uncomfortable, but Brittany is very articulate and personable, and I found myself really looking forward to my appointments. She even takes the time to create instructional videos that you can view while performing your home exercises. I started noticing improvement after a few weeks, and now (few months later) my knee is feeling better than it has in years. Most importantly, I'm back to doing the outdoor activities I love. Experiencia fantástica: I started PT with Brittany Revell in 2019 and she has done wonders for my knee that I injured while dancing. I was so lucky to find Brittany as she is a fellow dancer and has so much knowledge and understanding about dance injuries. When I first started I couldn't even walk up a flight of stairs without agonizing pain. She worked to strengthen my knee and my center of balance, along with other core strengthening exercises and I became so much stronger and now I have little to no pain on a daily basis. I never thought I would feel "normal" again, and Brittany has helped me recover and be able to get back to what I love to do which is teaching dance. It was a bittersweet recovering, as I am so thankful for my knee being healed, but Brittany made each session very personable and I miss our sessions together. She is the sweetest and most patient physical therapist that I've ever worked with. She went above and beyond the exercises and made me feel that she really cares deeply for her patients. Not only has Brittany helped with my knee injury, I recently had a baby in March who suffered from a lip tie/tongue tie and torticollis. Brittany is the baby whisperer!!! She is so gentle and loving toward my daughter and she LOVES Brittany! My little girl has made huge steps in the right direction because of the work Brittany has done with her. Brittany is a rare find and anyone who gets to work with her is extremely lucky! I am so thankful that she was my physical therapist and that my daughter gets to work with her too!!

Experiencia fantástica: We have been taking our 8 year old son son to see Brittany for several months now. Our son was born with unilateral clubfoot and has had several surgeries for correction. He needs constant physical therapy to maintain his correction and flexibility. We have been to several physical therapists in the community over the years and Brittany is hands down the most patient, dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate therapist we have been to. She will put in the time to really understand your needs and tailor the sessions to those needs. Our son's therapy sessions are always well thought out and age appropriate. The gym is clean and everyone on staff at Rekinected is friendly. I cannot sing Brittany's praises enough, highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I've played touch rugby on the beach for 17 years. It's the best way for me to exercise and escape for a few hours twice a week. It has really been my passion for all these years. A year ago I injured my knee and it was determined that I'd have to have surgery. For the better part of a year I was totally miserable. I tried working with a personal trainer at $100/ hour and put a few months into Physical Therapy with no avail. After some time I became more depressed as I wasn’t seeing the improvements I needed to get back on the pitch. That was until I met Brittney at ReKinected physical therapy in Carlsbad CA. Brittney provided a 1 on 1 session for an hour. It’s like I had my very own personal trainer. She was always cheerful, professional, kind and supportive. Not only was my knee healing as was my mental state. Her knowledge of the body was textbook and informative every step of the way. She listened and showed empathy for my situation. I know people go through much, much more than I had to do so I have no real reason to complain and I’m blessed. However, my mental state was diminishing and I really needed to find a solution. I recently had revision hip surgery for a torn labrum and impingement, and Michael is helping me to get back to the activities I love. He is one of the few physical therapists I’ve found who works with a patient for the entire session. He always takes his time, beginning each session with manual PT and listening carefully to how I’ve been progressing with the exercises to increase my strength and regain mobility and conditioning. While we are focusing on my hip, he addresses the whole body, and has helped me with some knee and foot issues as well. When I had my first post-op appointment with my orthopedic surgeon, Michael offered to come with me so that he could get a deeper sense of what the surgery had entailed and how best to tailor my therapy. I was impressed by his level of dedication. Michael’s knowledge of anatomy, health, and the body’s function (and dysfunctions!) is vast; at the same time, he is down-to-earth, caring, and fun to work with. I leave each session feeling challenged and inspired. As an added bonus, the new office he is creating with Brittany is inviting and clean—and there’s plenty of parking. Experiencia fantástica: Michael is the best PT I've ever had, by a long shot. He fixed some long time shoulder problems I've had in a single session. This isn't your usual physical therapy where you just do basic stretches and half squats for an hour, Michael asks questions and does a lot of hands on work. If you are an athlete or coming back from an injury, this is THE place to go. Don't waste years trying to do it yourself or seeing sub-par physical therapists. Michael will get you feeling stronger and pain free and ready to tackle your next goal.

She was able to diagnose what was going on and came up with a very thorough plan on how to help. Not only has my injury gone away, but my running form overall has improved drastically because of her.
