Astoria Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation

Experiencia fantástica: This place was wonderful and helpful. My 91 year old grandma who has dementia fell and broke her hip and had hip surgery. This facility has her up and walking completely normal again in under 2 weeks. They did well for her and she’s still doing great. Very skilled staff here.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to admit my 92 year old mother to the hospital that ended up at a 2 month stay at Astoria. I learned Astoria got a new executive director, end of 2022, I couldn’t believe how nice the staff was to me but mainly to my mother. The first time I needed to find her room, maintenance guy got off his ladder and showed me to her room!! They had numerous family events that the family was invited to attend with her, a couple examples were, bingo with many prizes, and a couple barbecue picnics and even the executive director was flipping burgers on the grill. Mom loved seeing the dogs and various animals that came in to visit her too! The entertainment with singing and dancing, dessert tasting contest, a tea tasting event, even a Las Vegas act at Christmas!! There was a monthly calendar in her room with all the events each day. And a menu for the week with substitute items if she wanted. The most astonishing thing was some of the staff changed their days off just so they could say goodbye to my mom. I feel the physical therapy she received has made her much stronger than she’s been in a long time and on a final note she enjoyed looking out her window at the putting green she’s a long time golfer thanks again to all of the staff at Astoria
