Experiencia fantástica: I went in with a medial gastrocnemius tear that had already gone through another doctor, physical therapist, and three prior tears leading up to this fourth. I’d been out of playing soccer for a little over a year with this injury, as it kept tearing again. I’d been following the doctor and physical therapist’s orders but with no success. Allie took her time on my injury, tried new things, used her own experience, and made me think outside the box this time around. She was always busy but still somehow made me feel cared for and focused on. And I really have to give her credit for that. I could tell she was determined to get me back on the field. She is extremely knowledgeable and very good at what she does, I highly recommend her to anyone who goes to PTC and falls under a category she oversees. My previous PT was using more of an icing, anti-inflammatory methodology whereas Allie was going mostly opposite. She instructed that our bodies want to be inflamed (up until a point) because that’s our natural response to heal. When she said this it really got me thinking, because I questioned my old PT a lot when he told me to constantly ice my injury even as it was mostly “healed”. So I started reading into it more. And it looks like more modern research finds that Allie is correct. Read “The R.I.C.E Protocol is a MYTH: A Review and Recommendations”. This is a very interesting read, and essentially says that RICE protocol isn’t always the best method to recovery, in fact, often times is not - especially for muscle injury. Can’t thank you enough, Allie! You got me better and finally back to playing soccer!!!

Experiencia negativa: Therapist sees 3 patients at a time and never really works with any directly. Not really an individual program. Seems very much what is done with all patients with same issues.

Experiencia negativa: Physical therapy was okay but their billing department is horrible. They made me pay $40 per visit for 12 visits. They filed my insurance and received $821 from the insurance company. The EOB's say I don't owe anything. Insurance paid it all. I've been trying to get a refund from them of the $480 I paid them since September. They keep saying they are sending the account for review. I am very unhappy and don't know what to do next. Anybody have any ideas? Thank you. Guess what? Today, Saturday, February 24th, I received a check in the mail from Legent for $480.00. Thank you!!

Experiencia negativa: This review is in regards to the office staff. Our experience with them has made us not even want to go to that facility to get PT services. I’ve had 3 interactions that were not great. First, when I called to schedule an appointment the lady we spoke to had a very rude tone. Nonetheless I thought I’ll try scheduling in person to see if have better experience. My family and I walked in and stood there for a bit because no one even bothered to acknowledge us. After I asked to get some assistance, the lady at the front desk was very short with me, definitely gave off the vibe that we were bothering her by simply asking her to do her job. After a rude and awkward interaction we scheduled an appointment. After some time we decided better to schedule with another PT group given that our interactions had been less than stellar so far. The actual PTs might be great but we’ll never know because office staff left a very bad impression with us. Just now I called them to cancel our appointment with Plano Therapy Center and again, rude interaction. I spoke with Kimberly and I literally could not hear her on the phone. It was as if she was whispering. I politely said I’m sorry but I’m not able to hear you clearly. Her response? “Ma’am I’ve literally got my mouth on the phone” again in a rude tone. I called a neighboring PT group and it was a night and day difference! They were pleasant, not dismissive or rude, and actually seemed happy to help! Like I said the actual PTs might be wonderful but we’ll never know because of their rude front office staff. They are definitely a deterrent to actually going to this facility.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been coming here twice a week for several months. I’ve had three shoulder surgeries in the last 7 months. Very friendly staff. I’ve really been pleased with the results I’ve seen, and would definitely recommend this PT center to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience at front desk! The person in the right treated me awfull, she had my appointment put on morning and I asked her to put better on afternoon, she said she did that, she even gave me a note writing the afternoon app, and then on the day of the appointment I was called by them saying that they don’t know exacly if I had the app in morning but the afternoon is all booked! Wow! Beside this, she did not appologised at all and when I confronted her about this she seemed to forget about it and she took a call from a patient righ in front of me and not even cared to continue our previous conversation! How rude! This is not ok to treat someone, anyone actually!

Experiencia negativa: There is no personalized care taken. The therapist was all over the place. There should have been evaluations done regularly to track the progress, which was not done. I mean you can find a better place than this based on the experience I had. There is a similar review from 2 years ago. And this place has not made any improvements to fix this. I would avoid going here.

Experiencia fantástica: I am not a big “go to therapy” person. However , I would not have made the astounding recovery I have made after my knuckle replacement and thumb surgery without these guys! It wasn’t easy, nor pain free, but absolutely worth it. Thanks to my most excellent therapist Brad, and the kindness of all the employees, I enjoyed it. Their teamwork is awesome! Definitely a 5 STAR, therapy center. P.s. Help them help you....DO YOUR ASSIGNED EXERCISES BETWEEN VISITS.... Well wishes to all and Happy Holidays to come.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to therapy here for my hand for several weeks and am doing very well. Alicia is my therapist and is amazing. She makes you work hard, but is very sympathetic to your pain. I am very grateful to have her to help with my recovery. The other staff are kind as well.

Experiencia negativa: The office was closed on Tuesday Feb 16th 2021 because of the bad weather(understandably so). HOWEVER, there was no notice on their website or their phone message night. I therefore drove from 8 miles in bad weather for my 1000 appointment for NOTHING. I would give them ZERO stars but for my physio(Lisa) on my previous(and only) appointment was very good and professional.

Experiencia negativa: There are 2 physical thearpy locations in the small strip mall.It is very easy to confuse the 2.That being said I have been to both. The first time I went to Greater Therapy Center which is next to the Italian restaurant. The 2nd time I went to Physical therapy center next to an eye care center. Had ankle surgery so needed to chose one of the 2. Decided to return to Greater Therapy center as they have 1 on 1 care. Plano Therapy center made me feel like I was just a number and really didn't watch me The therapist usually spent around 10 minutes with you and then an aide would take over.I have started my ankle rehab after major surgery and can not tell you how pleased I am with Greater therapy center. I know I made the right choice in choosing my physical therapy center.

Experiencia negativa: I want to preface by saying that my experience wasn’t entirely negative and I gave this place the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but there were certain key aspects that I felt were lacking. Let me start by saying that if you want individualized, personal attention for your condition/injury that this isn’t a good place for that. I had Lisa Free as my PT and I thought she was knowledgeable and helped me a lot when I was at Allen Therapy Center, but I felt she was overwhelmed at this therapy center and couldn’t give me the individualized attention I was looking for. The techs are friendly and do want to help you, but I think they’re also kind of overwhelmed with the volume of people they have to take care of. I had a serious foot fracture where I had a surgery to fix the fracture and then recently, had a surgery to remove the hardware and wanted to improve the strength and mobility around the ankle region. There are too few PT’s for the volume of patients at this place and to be quite honest, even when I went on a Friday afternoon and was by myself, I was STILL neglected and the tech/PT that were there weren’t even watching me and they were just talking amongst themselves about weekend plans and such. Also, I don’t appreciate how the PT basically hands you off to the techs after the first session. Sure, they’ll sit with you at the end to do manual work but while I’m exercising, very little attention is paid to how I’m doing the exercises and if there is any attention paid, I’m unaware. Furthermore, the techs would CONSISTENTLY forget to update my program when I had a program change and would keep telling me the wrong exercise. While my experience wasn’t the worst, I still think these are serious red flags in a physical therapy center. I hope this review saves others a potential headache when choosing where to go for PT.

Experiencia fantástica: We LOVE LIsa Free. My mother 73 broke her kneecap and was recommended by her orthopedic surgeon to Plano Therapy Center. She made an appointment and met Lisa. Lisa gave my mother exercises to do at home twice a day and worked with her in therapy for an hour three times a week. She told my mother to do the exercises at home and she will get better faster. Lisa was so right with her guidance and gentle proding in therapy my mother was walking again unaided in a little over a month. From wheelchair to walker to cane and walking perfectly. Fantastic therapist. I recommend this place.

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome Experience and staff. They all care on getting back to a normal life whether playing sports or just living life in normal and pain free ways. They really take time to care for you as a person physically and mentally after an injury and of course surgery.

Experiencia negativa: Unprofessional staff. Worse PT expereince ever no patient privacy While the therapist Monica was performing the "Dry needling" procedure on my neck she was laughing about it with another patient No explanation of the procedure what so ever as I had to ask all the questions She was talking with other patients about how one of her patients is always late by his first name! This place needs to hire more experenced therapist and train them how to be professionals.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to PT at four different facilities in the Plano -Frisco area. The staff here gets an "excellent" from me for professionalism and quality of care. The staff is caring and very patient centric. Therapy and teaching are excellent. I am a physician with no financial interest in this or any other PT facility. I will return here with confidence in the future should the need arise.
