Experiencia fantástica: Nothing but great things to say about Dr Stramel. His knowledge and expertise in pain management is beyond others. Always comforting to send clients his way knowing they are going to get the best care.
Quinn, thank you for the referrals. Your clients and pateints have so far been great to work with.
Experiencia fantástica: I have a 16-year-old ginger named Scarlett. Other than a little chunk she is a healthy girl except for a little "hitch in her giddy up". I tried supplements and shots and nothing seemed to ease her back and hip pain. She stopped jumping up on the bed or couch to be with me because it was too hard for her. She started seeing Dr Stramel a few months ago for acupuncture and red-light therapy. At first, I didn't see much difference in her, but I can tell you today she is doing fabulously. After about 12 treatments she is now jumping up on the bed and spending more time with us. She isn't a fan of her younger fur siblings, so she stays away and on her own. Now she is comfortable enough that if she wants to make a quick getaway she can. This gives her the freedom to be with the family instead of being by her lonesome. I am thrilled for my senior girl and loving the cuddles she is back to giving.
I am so happy for you and Scarlett. It seems that a lot of people do not believe CATS will tolerate acupuncture, howeve this is far from the truth as proven by Scarlett.
Experiencia negativa: My first visit and I would absolutely not return !! The initial greeting was a very curt "have a seat someone will be with you shortly" turns out that person was Dr. Stramel. He then turned and disappeared down the hallway. No Hello, Welcome, nothing. So my immediate impression was, wow that was less than welcoming. Then Maya ( the office admin) showed up and had me go to the exam room with my dog. She was very nice, friendly and said the doctor would be in soon. When Dr. Stramel entered I realized it was the person who was so curt when I had arrived. He entered the room he did not even introduce himself to me. As a first time client I do not think that would be to much to ask. His "bedside manner" with my dog was NOT acceptable. I realize he has to do an exam and it might be uncomfortable for my dog since she is already in some pain. As a veterinarian I would expect him to comfort any dog who is clearly scared and hurting from the exam. That did not happen even once. When I slid over to the end of the bench I was seated on, the doctor snapped, "do not touch your dog". I had not even moved towards my dog and I informed the doctor that I was simply moving so she could see me. I moved so my dog could see me, because she was clearly scared and getting zero comfort from him. Not sure what was up, but from then time I entered the office Dr Stramel seemed out of sorts. Zero bed side manner, very short. I just thought ok, maybe not overly friendly or just having a bad day. We discussed a treatment plan and I was going to try it out and would reserve my first impressions to see if it got any better. As I was trying to check out I was informed that I would need to pay an additional 3% if I wanted to pay with my credit card. This information is no where in the original paperwork I filled out. If I had know this I would have brought a check or cash. Since I was not going to pay the 3 % I told him I would have to go get my checkbook to pay, that I did not have $175.00 in cash. I was told I had to pay with my credit card right then, I did not. I mailed a check for the exam and will not be returning. I guess my immediate impression was correct. Hopefully he was just having a bad day UPDATE to Dr Stramel's reply... Dr. Stramel, you were not completely honest in your reply let me clear some things up..... I arrived 6 minutes before my 1:00 appointment, the front door was unlocked so of course I walked in. How would I know that you were eating & no one was at the front desk? I did not expect anyone to, in your words "abandon their lunch and cater exclusively to you", a simple "Hi Welcome, we will be with you in a few minutes" would have been perfectly normal. On your demeanor...I did state in my original review that I was reserving my opinion, thinking maybe he is just not overly friendly maybe he's just having an off day, so I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. That is why I went ahead and scheduled the treatment plan for my dog. Yes, it is true that I did not want to pay additional fees for using my credit card. If your paper work had indicated that was your policy then I would have brought my checkbook or cash. I did have cash but only $160.00 and your exam fee was $175.00. Your statement "you suddenly had no cash" was a flat out lie. Yes I did leave went home & immediately paid you via check. So you were paid. As to your statement ( which you have now removed) "your pets well being is worth less than the price of a cup of coffee" lets be clear.....I had agreed to your $2,600.00 treatment plan, so clearly the $5.25 was not the issue. I have also let my vet know about my experience with your office. I have been with the same vet for over 25 years and have never had even one word of disagreement. That might give some indication as to who the problem was in our meeting ??? Update#2 - I see you removed your original reply and now say my review is retaliatory & abusive. Guess you don't want people to see what you originally posted. Humm wonder why, were you the one who was abusive?
This review is retaliatory and abusive. The client refused to pay at checkout due to our credit card fee policies, which are clearly explained at checkout and posted in our reception area. For that reason, we asked her not to return. We stand by our policies and are grateful for the many wonderful clients who trust us to keep their pets out of pain.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel and his team are the best at what they do. We brought my dog to them because as he’s gotten older his back and arthritic pain was getting worse and additional medicine was not helping. He had a hard time getting up and walking for usual distances among other things. After pinpointing where his pain was coming from with X-rays and an exam it was suggested by Dr. Stramel that we do acupuncture and laser therapy. After 7 weeks, we have seen significant improvements. He can lift his leg up to urinate again, gets up easier, and sleeps better at night.
We are so glad that Winchester is feeling better.
Experiencia fantástica: My sweet girl, Reese had acquired a soft tissue injury in her front right leg. Despite multiple trips to our vet who could only give her pain meds and anti-inflammatories, the issue kept resurfacing and reoccurring. Even after months of rest where she should have made a full recovery- it seemed after any activity Reese would have a limp and was clearly in pain. I didn’t want her to keep having this issue for the rest of her life. Then someone recommended Dr. Stramel and wow I’m so glad I took Reese to him. We stayed consistent going at least twice a month for acupuncture and cold laser therapy. After two months or so I saw major improvements in Reese- she wasn’t limping after exercise and overall seemed in a better mood from the treatment. We started going less and less, fast forward to now I don’t take her in anymore, only because she’s 100% improved!!! She doesn’t need to go anymore which is honestly everyone goal when trying to make their dog happy and healthy!!! It means this treatment really worked for her and I think she’s made a full recovery finally! I’m happy knowing that if any of my pups get injured I now know where to take them and you’ll get real and LASTING results! I’m a professional dog trainer and I now refer clients to Stramel anytime they seem to have any physical issue. Dr. Stramel will find the root cause and actually treat the problem area instead of just masking your dogs pain/issue. So again highly recommend your dog will thank you for it!!! Not to mention the peanut butter treats are a huge bonus!
We are so happy that Reese is doing great and can continue her very active life style without issues. She can stop by and get a frozen PB treat at anytime!
Experiencia fantástica: I brought my dog Nala in for a second opinion. She was hit by a car at 6 months old and broke both of her back legs. Now at 6 years old, I could tell her comfort level had started to change. I really appreciated how honest and down-to-earth the doctor was. Instead of pushing unnecessary (and expensive) therapies, they took the time to explain what was really going on, like a caring family member would, not just a vet trying to upsell services. I left feeling informed, reassured, and truly grateful.
Wish you and Nala a long happy life together!
Experiencia fantástica: We cannot praise Dr. Stramel and his staff enough!! We found them last year when our golden retriever injured the ligament in his left leg. Dr. Stramel was upfront, factual, and honest with what our options were. He never pressured us into a decision and always respected what we decided to do. Charlie ultimately underwent TPLO surgery in November. I was a nervous wreck since I had heard horror stories about the recovery process. We were absolutely BLOWN AWAY with how smooth Charlie’s recovery was and that’s all to Dr. Stramel!! He is an expert in this field and knew exactly how to maximize Charlie’s recovery. Charlie graduated from physical therapy today and as we walked out of the building we had tears in our eyes. Dr. Stramel and his incredible staff have given our boy his playful life back and we are forever grateful. If you’ve been told surgery is the only option for your pet take them to Dr. Stramel ASAP. I promise he will help you assess ALL of your options and will care for your pet as his own. Even if surgery is the best option for your pet, like our case was, doing it through Dr. Stramel was the best decision we ever made.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review. We are so happy for you and Charlie. He is a great patient and we will miss his happy face in the underwater treadmill.
Experiencia fantástica: Staff and Dr are very kind and Zoe loves the frozen peanut butter yogurt she gets while receiving therapy.
Thank you! We love seeing Zoe.
Experiencia fantástica: So extremely grateful for Dr. Stramel and the staff. I was really feeling nervous about my dog’s health before we came in, a few treatments and Addie’s overall mood and pain subsided. We are seeing such an improvement and happier girl. Can not say enough good things about Dr. Stramel and staff they have changed our sweet girls life.
It is such a pleasure to work with Addie, she is so sweet. So happy for both of you that she is feeling so much better.
Experiencia fantástica: Beyond thankful my vet recommended Dr. Stramel when my pup injured himself, my dog is running like he use too! Dr. Stramel was transparent and honest with his advice and it was refreshing to know there was alternatives to surgery. Do your pet a favor and go see Advance Care!
We are so excited that Bodie gets to live his best life again!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel and staff are efficient, caring and kind. The love that is shown for my pet Stevie is overwhelming. I feel comfortable with the entire hospital. Great office for pets in pain.
We really enjoy working with you and Stevie!
Experiencia fantástica: My dog had a failed hip surgery and developed lameness as a result. After she had a corrected surgery I took her to Dr Stramel for physical therapy. She has gone from 3 legged walking to using all 4. The muscles had atrophied but they are gaining strength. Dr. Stramel uses acupuncture, laser light, and hydrotherapy. I’m highly impressed with the progress my dog has made in a short time. That’s my “human” opinion, but even more important is the opinion of my dog. She loves to go there. She loves the staff and Dr Stramel. She knows they are helping her. She knows they are kind and compassionate. It’s a long drive for us, but so worth it. I highly recommend them.
Hi Karin,
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so glad to hear about your dog’s progress and that she loves her visits with us. Your trust and recommendation mean a lot, especially with the long drive. We always look forward to seeing the two of you!

Experiencia fantástica: We have an aging Dachshund, Sheldon, who has IVDD. He had three prior episodes that had resolved with rest and laser. When he had a fourth episode and our vet added medication without improvement, we asked the DFW Dachshund Rescue for a recommendation as Sheldon was adopted from there. Dr. Stramel, Angela, and Maya, are outstanding. Dr. Stramel changed his entire medication routine; instituted acupuncture; ozone: and continued the laser. Sheldon is so much better. We are so pleased with the outcome.
Hi Cathy,
Thank you for sharing Sheldon’s story! We’re happy to hear that he’s feeling better after the changes we made to his treatment. It’s great to know that our team could make such a positive impact on his health. We truly appreciate your trust in us and are glad to be part of Sheldon’s journey. Thanks again!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my French Bulldog Otis has received from Dr. Stramel at Advanced Care Veterinary Services. Otis has undergone two IVDD surgeries, and the road to recovery has been challenging. However, thanks to the comprehensive and compassionate care provided by Dr. Stramel, we have successfully navigated this journey. The clinic’s state-of-the-art treatments, including Cold Laser Therapy, acupuncture, and the underwater treadmill, have been instrumental in my dog’s rehabilitation. Dr. Stramel’s expertise and dedication to his patients are evident in every aspect of the care he provides. His personalized approach to treatment has made a significant difference in my dog’s recovery, and I am truly thankful for his commitment to my dog’s well-being. If you are looking for a veterinary clinic that offers cutting-edge treatment options combined with genuine care and professionalism, I highly recommend Advanced Care Veterinary Services and Dr. Stramel. Their services have been life-changing for my dog, and I am confident they can make a positive impact on others as well!!

Dr. Stramel
Experiencia fantástica: I would give Dr. Stramel 15 stars if I could! I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Stramel and Angela Stramel who assisted with some of the PT sessions that my 13 yr. old Rotteweiller, Maggie, attended. Maggie had a torn CCL in one knee, partial tear in the other and arthritis in her hips. My Vet suggested surgery which I decided against at Maggie's age, so I was very lucky to find Dr. Stramel when doing my research trying to find alternatives to CCL surgery. Dr. Stramel did not require a referral which allowed me to get in to see him quickly for an assessment. From that point forward, I knew I came to the right place. After my first conversation with Dr. Stramel, I had hope. He laid out a plan of how he wanted to approach her treatment plan which was sound and achievable. After 3 rounds of PRP treatments along with consistent accupuncture, red light, vibration plate and hydrotherapy sessions, Maggie was able to overcome her extreme lameness and now goes for small walks without having to sit every two steps. If it wasn't for my work life, I would have continued her treatments with Dr. Stramel but have had to look for alternatives that are closer to my home here in Aledo. If you are looking for alternatives to manage your dog's pain, do not think twice and contact Dr. Stramel immediately! He is extremely knowledgeable, provides realistic options and gives his all to do what he can to bring relief to your pup. Thank you Dr. Stramel and Angela Stramel! I appreciate all you do for the dog community!!!
Amy, thank you so much for this review. I am so happy that you and Maggie are doing well. If you need anything in the future, just give us a call.
Experiencia fantástica: We first saw Dr Stramel around Oct or Nov of 2023 because my PitLab mix was limping. Our personal vet didn’t do a physical exam or x rays and just gave us a joint supplement. After no improvement, I found Dr Stramel. He took one look at her and knew she had torn both ACLs but we did x rays to confirm. We chose to do PRP injections in both legs, because it was more affordable and had a high chance of helping her out. She was running and playing like her old self in no time after her treatment. She went for water treadmill once a month, and excelled at that too! Unfortunately, around June of this year, her back left leg became swollen overnight. I took her back to Dr Stramel and we ultimately discovered she has cancer. He referred us to the best oncologist in DFW and we hope to get a few more years with our girl. We are sadly relocating to a different state soon, but he helped us get the best care for her before we move. I really wish we could take him with us! Dr Stramel is the BEST pet practitioner in DFW, hands down. He is so intelligent, knowledgeable, and really cares about his work. He and Angela have so much knowledge about pet care, even for things they can’t necessarily treat. I wish he could’ve been our regular vet too. He lays out all of his options and pricing upfront and is very patient. He and Angela really, truly care about animals, and they have made the last year of my Layla’s life so good and happy. Even if we do lose her sooner than we would like, he gave her her life back after tearing both ACLs. Thank you Dr Stramel and Angela!!! We are so grateful to you.
Thank you for your kind review. We are honored to have cared for Layla and so happy that she responded well to the PRP and therapy treatments.
Your dedication to her well-being is amazing and it's clients like you that make us love our job!
We will miss you both as you relocate. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need any help. Thank you again for your trust and kind words.
Warm regards,
Dr. Stramel and Angela

Experiencia fantástica: As a retired veterinarian I sought Dr. Stramel’s assistance with a shoulder injury in one of my competition retrievers. He is an immensely valuable resource, knowledgeable and communicative. I am continuing rehab with him for my dog.
Dr Aycock, thank you for the kind words.
Experiencia fantástica: So far this is the absolute best option I could have found for my boy. They clearly care for the animals and provide the best possible treatments tailored to the needs of the patient. The Dr listens to your comments and adjusts where necessary. So far we have experienced incredible results, therapy starts next week.
We are so glad Ruger has responded well to the Platelet Rich Plasma injections and cannot wait to get him started on his strengthening and conditioning program.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr Stramel has truly helped my dachshund make a miraculous recovery from IVDD. My dog had no use of his hind legs and after 8 weeks is walking and even running again.
We are sp pleased with Maverick's recovery, he is a great dog to work with.
Experiencia fantástica: My mini-dachshund Bama had back surgery in January. We have been seeing Dr. Stramel and Angela since his surgery. This duo truly caress about your pets wellness. I don’t think we would have gotten the same results without this therapy or team. I highly recommend Advanced Care Veterinary.
Thank you for your glowing review. We are honored to have been a part of Bama's recovery journey since his back surgery in January. It's great to hear that our care and therapy have made a significant difference in his wellness. We always look forward to your cheerfulness! We love having you as a client!

Experiencia negativa: ***Edit to respond to owner.*** Thank you for trying to contact me to discuss my review. I did call back twice and left messages for you both times. Orthotics were never discussed with me, even when I asked. That is very upsetting. Yes, we do currently have an "off the shelf" brace while we await the shipment of the custom brace. As you know, a custom brace takes weeks to make after the mold of the pet's leg is submitted with the order. When it comes to our pet, we do not worry much about how much things cost. We just want him happy and comfortable. ******************************************** I didn’t have a good experience with Dr. Stramel at Advanced Care Veterinary Services. I was happy when my veterinarian referred me to Advanced Care Veterinary Services for my 13-year-old Labrador Retrievers tendon injury as an alternative to surgery. I was also pleased with the reviews I read. At the consultation Dr. Stramel provided options (with very little discussion or recommendation): 1) MRI or CT scan to get a “true diagnosis” 2) Surgery 3) Treat based on observation/ at surface level - with laser and acupuncture and reassess in 6 weeks and consider Platelet Rich Plasma injections. We weren’t sure if an MRI or CT scan was needed since we weren’t doing surgery. Based on Dr. Stramel’s experience we opted to treat based on observation with laser and acupuncture. Dr. Stramel assessed my dog and treated him for “superficial digital flexor tendon issue”. At each session, I tried to ask questions including any recommended exercises I could do with my dog at home. I was told “there is nothing you can do”. I asked about the use of a splint/ brace and was told “no that won’t help”. Even though Advanced Care Veterinary Services has Orthotics listed as a service on their website. At weak 5 I told Dr. Stramel I didn’t notice any improvement. He said, “this dog needs surgery”. I was so frustrated!! After all this time and almost $1,000 spent, I didn’t have a true diagnosis or a treatment plan. I didn’t feel like he was “direct” with me regarding what he could do for my pet specific to laser and acupuncture. I then met with an Orthopedic surgeon at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center. My dog was diagnosed with a partial left calcaneal tendon injury with an intact superficial digital flexor. The surgeon understood the concern about putting our 13-year-old dog through surgery that had a 12-week recovery. As an alternative, he suggested rehab, using the underwater treadmill, and the use of a splint/ brace. Once we have the brace we can talk about Platelet-Rich Plasma treatment. Next, we went to North Texas Animal Rehab for a consultation. After explaining the sequence of events related to my dog’s injury, I was shown exercises I could do at home with my pet, and which splint/ brace to get. They were shocked to find out that Dr. Stramel hadn’t gone over the option to provide a splint/ brace or go over any at home exercises. Again, frustrated and upset. I’d lost 6 weeks of time. My dog could have had a splint/ brace to effectively immobilize the injury while allowing him some safe physical mobility. Its’ been about 2 ½ month since the injury occurred. My dog just started wearing his brace and has adapted quickly. It’s not a permanent fix, but I can see he is happy to be mobile. I finally feel like I’m in good hands with DVSC and North TX Animal Rehab. I wish I’d gone there first!
Dear Debra Guzzman,
We've received your feedback regarding your recent experience, and we sincerely apologize for any dissatisfaction you may have encountered. We've attempted to reach out to you by phone, but unfortunately, haven't been successful in connecting.
During your consultation, our aim is to provide thorough discussions of all available treatment options and address any questions or concerns you may have. We allocate a full hour for these consultations, and we also provide written recommendations in PDF format to help ensure clarity and understanding.
Upon reviewing your case, it appears that an MRI was recommended for a comprehensive diagnosis, which you declined. Similarly, a surgical consultation was discussed but declined as well. We respect your decisions regarding your pet's treatment and understand that conservative approaches may be preferred for various reasons.
Regarding custom orthotics and prosthetics, we do offer these options, but we understand that cost considerations may influence decision-making. While off-the-shelf orthotics are available, we typically discuss their limitations and encourage custom solutions for a wide variety of reasons that is much too extensive to discuss here.
In cases of acute tendon injuries, we are cautious with certain forms of exercise for healing and pain management purposes. We acknowledge and agree, you are right that the conservative approach that was discussed and agreed to, acupuncture, laser therapy, and pain management techniques cannot possibly fix every issue and we appreciate your understanding in this regard. We genuinely wish we could cure every pet that walked through our doors. We're sorry you didn't get the outcome you were hoping for. We are pleased you decided to seek a surgical consultation after limited progress with us!
It sounds like you've found an off the shelf brace and therapy that you feel meets your needs, and we wish you and your pet all the best moving forward. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Warm regards,
Dr. Stramel

Experiencia fantástica: Great service! Wonderful service and people! Ignore the idiot that left a one star review! They do not know what they are talking about!
Experiencia negativa: Very bad company. They don’t even answer the phone. They say they are open from time to time and I called so many times and they don’t answer the phone. Very bad reliable company.
Firstly, it's important to clarify that we have no association with you or your pets, and we do not possess any medical records for them at our clinic. Now, allow us to address the concerns you've raised about your recent attempt to contact us.We operate from two separate business locations, and at the time of your call, Texas was bracing for unprecedented sub-zero wind chill temperatures. In anticipation of this extreme weather, Dr. Stramel and our team departed the office slightly earlier, approximately 15 minutes, to ensure the safety and well-being of our performance horse clientele housed at our Equine Facility. It appears that your attempted calls occurred just prior to our scheduled closing time and despite your persistence of calling well beyond our posted hours, we were unable to attend to your inquiries since no message was left requesting a callback. Despite our stated closure, you persisted in calling during the posted hours when our clinic was closed, including into Saturday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please be assured that the satisfaction of our clients remains our utmost priority. Should circumstances prevent us from answering the phone promptly, such as being on vacation, being engaged in surgery, attending to a new pet, or preparing for severe weather conditions, we are committed to promptly returning all messages during our regular business hours. However, we don’t return phone calls if there is no message left. We sincerely hope that you have since found the assistance you were seeking. Regards,Dr. Stramel & Staff
Experiencia fantástica: I visited Dr. Stramel and his team for several months with my senior dog to help with a neurological issue. I highly recommend for his knowledge.and especially his patience and care!
Montana was a great patient!
Experiencia fantástica: Doug is phenomenal. I live thousands of miles away and there have been times when i’ve had issues with my dog, i’d call, give him a quick rundown of the symptoms and he’d recommend whether further treatment was needed or i could remedy on my own. Very helpful!
Always glad to help out however we can!
Experiencia fantástica: I called and spoke with the team about a plan for my sweet baby. The company was so kind and everyone was so polite and they had so much to offer me. Unfortunately, she passed away before I was able to get her into their facility, but their caring loving employees were extremely helpful
Thank you for the kind words. If you ever need us in the future we will be here for you and your pets.
Experiencia fantástica: My GSD was 2 years old when she partially tore her CCL. Stem cell therapy and PRP was performed by Dr. Stramel. We have continued to see him for past 4 years for laser, acupuncture, and underwater treadmill rehab. I elected to retire her from agility but otherwise she is loving life and has competed in Rally and Nosework. Thanks to Dr. Stramel, we have avoided surgery. Highly recommend Advanced Care Veterinary Service.
Kim is such a happy dog and loves to tell everyone how she is doing the entire time of treatment!!
Experiencia fantástica: We started seeing Dr. Stramel in 2019 after our 10 year old pug Boogie started to develop some rear leg ataxia (suspected pug myelopathy). We had initially seen a neurologist and been quoted several thousand dollars for an MRI which wasn't feasible for us at the time. For just about four years we came every two weeks for acupuncture, vibration plate, cold laser, and water treadmill therapies. I strongly believe that the services provided by ACVS made the difference when it came to retaining Boogie's mobility and overall quality of life for as long as possible.
Boogie was such a pleasure to work with. You definitely made a difference in his life and did everything you could to make sure he was happy and had a great life!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel is wonderful. He was kind, and compassionate while also being completely honest and direct about treatment options and their possible outcomes for our dog Malcolm. I highly recommend him.
Our lives have been changed by meeting you and Malcom. We greatly enjoyed our time with you both.
Experiencia fantástica: My dachshund sustained an IVDD injury. Due to Dr. Stramel's treatment plan that includes acupuncture and laser treatment, she has returned to her pre-injury status! She loves Dr. Stramel and Emily.... and the frozen yogurt & peanut butter snack
Harper is such a great dog to work with! We are so happy that we could help the two of you out.
Experiencia fantástica: This review is long overdue, but I did want to wait a significant time to ensure the results lasted. About a year ago, my dog Lyla fully tore her CCL. I took her to 3 other doctors and they all said the only way she'd walk normally again was surgery. Due to her age, I really didn't want to put her through surgery. I did some research and found Dr. Stramel. He recommended PRP in conjunction with laser therapy, acupuncture, and weight management. It was very time consuming for months but we got through it all. After her PRP, it took a few weeks to see the results, but she ended up being able to walk on the leg again. It's now almost a year later and Lyla is doing great. She's running, jumping, going for walks, and living a normal life. I'm so appreciative to Dr. Stramel and his team.
Thank you for these comments. Lyla was a great patient and we enjoyed getting to know you both!
Experiencia fantástica: I brought my 9 year old German Shepherd to Advanced Care. He could barely walk. He could not wag his tail. He had been hospitalized for an infection of the spine. Now, three months later, after acupuncture, laser therapy and sound shock treatments he is able to walk around the house and take short walks outside. When I go out, or open the refrigerator, he greets me, and food, with a wag of his tail. On one of his especially good days, he manages to jump into my truck. This is a place that performs miracles.
Experiencia fantástica: Comprehensive, direct, extremely knowledgeable. I really appreciate getting a straight forward treatment plan to help my dog with disc pain and mobility issues.
Thank you, it was so nice to meet and work with Finley.
Experiencia fantástica: I reached out to Dr. Stramel after my dog broke a vertebrae in his back. After 5 months of treatment I'm happy to say you would never be able to tell how badly he injured himself. I was so scared that he would never be the same again. I'm so happy to have my hiking buddy back again!
We had a great time working with you and Bones and are so happy with the results!
Experiencia fantástica: My 10 year old Chihuahua Truman, was having severe neck pain and muscle spasms. After a couple of months of trying different meds, My vet recommended us to Dr. Strammel for a consultation. We started aggressively with acupuncture and laser therapy. We were still taking pain meds and anti-inflammatoires during the first few weeks of treatment. After about 6 sessions, I was able to drastically reduce his meds and Truman was nearly back to his normal self. He went from hunched over, trembling and screaming if I touched him, to playing and running around like he had never been injured. Dr. Strammel and Emily gave my boy his spirit and his life back. I am so thankful for their care, knowledge and dedication.
We are so happy with the positive results for Truman. Thank you for sharing his story!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Strammel has been our go to now for a couple years after our dog first tore her meniscus and then when she tore her CCL’s. Originally, our option was surgery, and that was just not something we were comfortable with. Dr. Strammel was able to give us options to avoid costly surgery, and he helped get our pup from barely walking, back to her energetic, running and jumping self! Even our primary care vet is extremely impressed with how she has recovered. Now, we work with Dr. Strammel to keep her muscles strong, and manage her pain as needed. Him and his staff are absolutely the best, and work hard to be sure the right options are available to help your pets!
It is our pleasure to work with you and Meredith. She has came so far and is doing so well. We love to be able to help those pets that do not want to have surgery and give them a great quality of life.
Experiencia negativa: I had high hopes for this place after all the wonderful reviews. Walked in placed in a room, the technician walked in, she was wonderful and very helpful, she asked questions took some notes left the room few minutes later a man walked, did not Introduced himself walked straight up to my pet did a quick 5 minute exam said he wanted to sedate her to have x-rays done blood drawn acupuncture and laser therapy throughout a bunch of numbers at me $300 later still don't know what's wrong with my dog we don't have any care treatment plan. Feel like it was a waste of time and money.
We have sent all the requested information, as per our policy, as we do to all patients, to you as requested. Including a detailed treatment plan in written form, along with detailed receipts that we provide to all our patients. We also sent the estimates that you requested. Dr. Stramel introduced himself and was actually the person that checked you in at time of arrival. We are a very small, family-owned business, and we're aware that the majority of practices don't have their Drs answering phones and greeting clients at the front desk. Therefore, we can understand how you may have missed his introduction. The reason you brought your pet to us was to see what could be done for the right knee. A cruciate ligament injury was confirmed and options were given to you for treatment. Through a thorough physical exam it was also noted that your pet has pain in the lower spine, the left hip and the left knee. These were issues you were not aware of.You were given the option of further diagnostics or to treat based on clinical signs. You were advised of and agreed to the cost of starting treatment on the right knee. You informed us that it would be easier for you to have the diagnostics completed with your general practitioner as they are open on Saturdays. You received a thorough physical exam that revealed 3 additional issues with your pet and therapeutic treatment for the right knee as per your request. We want nothing but the best for our clients and their pets!
Experiencia fantástica: So grateful for everything Dr. Stramel and his staff have done for my (grumpy!) dachshund post-back surgery. He’s gone from barely able to walk to back to his pre-surgery speed! I can tell a huge difference after a therapy day in how he acts and I know he feels like his old self. Can’t recommend highly enough!
I am glad we finally have won Willoughby over. He is such a character! So happy he is living a pain-free life and able to walk again.
Experiencia fantástica: Exceptional level of care; they have a variety of therapies and procedures available and really tailor the treatment to your dog's needs. Friendly, professional staff who are clearly passionate about what they do. If you're looking for options other than just medication, or in conjunction with medication to alleviate your dog's stiffness/pain, ACVS is the place to go!
Thank you for trusting us to care for your sweet dog.
Experiencia fantástica: I have taken my miniature poodle rescue for acupuncture and laser therapy with Dr Strammel for 6 years. I have complete faith in Dr Strammel that my dog is receiving the best care possible for his arthritis pain. If your pet is experiencing chronic pain, I highly recommend you have them evaluated by Dr Strammel.
We are so pleased that you trust us to be part of Hope's medical team. She sure has been through a lot in her life and we are happy that she is doing well.
Experiencia fantástica: We are so grateful for Dr. Stramel and his staff! This past February, our 12-year old pug Bugsy had neurological issues to the point where he was unable to walk, kept knuckling, and had to be carried everywhere. Our regular vet suggested we put him down. We thought it was too soon since his vitals were healthy and he still loved to eat. Our vet then suggested we pull a Hail Mary and see a specialist, which led us to Dr. Stramel. Dr. Stramel has unmatched knowledge, and is more importantly, honest. After 6 weeks of acupuncture, laser therapy, and using the Assisi loop he was walking again. After 3 months and 3 underwater treadmill sessions, he is now running quickly. He also looks forward to their delicious yogurt treat during therapy! Dr. Stramel and his staff are miracle workers and we are so thankful they took a second chance on Bugsy and saved his life!
We are so happy the way Bugsy is responding to therapy....it just goes to show you that you cannot keep a good dog down!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel treated both of my dogs, who have genetic hip problems. By August, 2020, the first dog had pain that was so bad that he would fall while running or jumping and be unable to get up for awhile. Traditional treatments had stopped working. The second dog started having significant lameness in April, 2021. Dr. Stramel clearly explained a range of treatment options and the relative success that I could expect from each of them. I selected stem cell and platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatment for the first dog and PRP for the second dog. Both also received physical rehabilitation treatments. They both showed improvement within the normal recovery time frame for these procedures, about three months. Almost a year later, the first dog has no measurable pain and continues to improve. The second dog is still on physical rehabilitation and has little pain. In brief, if you follow Dr. Stramel's recommendations and instructions for follow-up care, you will be pleased with the results, even if you don't understand the science behind the treatments. He gives the dog a better quality of life within the limits of veterinary science and the dog's original condition. The fact that my dogs have hip problems will never change, but his treatments minimized their pain so that they are fully functional. The treatments may need to be repeated in the future. From my research, there are only two clinics in the DFW area that specialize in physical rehabilitation and pain management, and my own vet indicated that Dr. Stramel is the best and that his acupuncture treatments are the most effective. The doctor and his staff treat my dogs very well. They are supportive and precise. It appears to me that the staff collect subjective comments from the client and translate them into objective technical terms so that Dr. Stramel can apply this information to the underlying science behind treatments, so that the dog gets the most applicable treatment at the right time. I have recommended him to many of my associates without reservation.
Paul, thank you so much for this great review on the treatments your pets have received. I am so happy that both your dogs are doing great and back to pain free living!
Experiencia fantástica: Our Bullmastiff tore both of her ACL's and was 44lbs over weight. Dr. Stramel put together a plan to help strengthen both of her legs and with the weight loss. As of July 2021, Karma has lost the 44lbs in about 18 months! When she tore the ACL in her other leg, I immediately called Dr. Stramel and he scheduled her with their Orthopedic Surgeon (first one was done by our vet which we do not recommend). The day after her surgery, she tried running to us like she didn't have surgery at all which we were amazed by. Her recovery from the second surgery has been night and day compared to the first one. Since her second surgery and physical therapy, she is the spunkiest we have ever seen her and full of energy now. Dr. Stramel has always been very up front and honest with us from day one. He is also very passionate about what he does and I wish he could be our regular vet because I trust what he tells us. His Team is awesome as well! They love on Karma during her appointments and take such amazing care of her. With all that being said, we HIGHLY recommend Dr. Stramel, his team and practice.
Thank you for the kind words. Karma is so sweet and we love working with her!
Experiencia fantástica: Our almost 12 yo mini-poodle (Niki) had an ACL tear on her left knee in November 2020 and got operated in January 2021. As she was recovering she also tore the ACL on her right knee. Unfortunately we could not operate on her again as her blood reports were not favorable for another surgery. The vet who operated on Niki's left knee recommended doing therapy instead after giving her few days of initial rest. After lots of research and reading positive reviews of Advanced Care Veterinary we felt encouraged to setup the initial consultation with Dr. Stramel. He was extremely thorough in assessing Niki and recommended a plan to get her knees stabilized and stronger again, it included combination of water treadmill, laser, acupuncture therapy and home exercises. From April till date, Niki has responded extremely very well to the therapy routine and has made major strides getting better and stronger week over week. We also want to specifically call out the Heather and Lori for handling Niki with outmost care and making it a truly positive experience for her, they are simply amazing ladies and me and my wife feel very lucky to have found you. To anyone who is looking for help for their pet, I would highly recommend their services, they truly love what they do and will provide the best possible service your pet deserves.
We are so pleased with Niki's response to therapy and the hard work you all put into taking care of her!

Experiencia fantástica: My goldendoodle Oscar was 13 when we saw Dr. Stramel. 2 weeks prior, he was panting heavily and in a lot of pain; his primary vet did blood test/internal organs X-ray but couldn't find anything wrong. We even discussed euthanasia should his condition deteriorated. Since Oscar had arthritis and been on Adequan injections for 2-3 years, I reached out to Dr. Stramel hoping that acupuncture could ease his joint pain during his final days. Dr. Stramel uncovered Oscar had left shoulder tendonitis thru physical exam; hip dysplasia, spine spondylosis thru X-ray. No wonder Oscar was in a lot of pain! With acupuncture and laser therapy treatments, Oscar stopped panting and back to his usual self. He was well enough to do under water treadmill in a few weeks. Unfortunately he accidentally tripped over a curb one day and injured his right knee (which already looked bad in prior Xray). He couldn't put weight on it and had difficulty walking again. Dr. Stramel recommended PRP treatment and that really helped improve his mobility. We actually went on longer walks after that. We finally let him go when his hip dysplasia deteriorated so much that it required surgery. We didn't want him to go thru painful surgery/recovery at 13. We are forever grateful that we had 7 extra quality months with Oscar and got to enjoy extra Thanksgiving/Christmas with him. Most importantly, to see your dog relieved from pain was the greatest comfort I had.
It was a great pleasure to work with you and Oscar. He was such a great patient and did very well with his treatments. He will forever be in our hearts.
Experiencia fantástica: Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and really care about my dog and her care.
Thanks you for the kind words, Poppy always makes us smile.
Experiencia fantástica: Gracie is a tripod dog; her front left leg and shoulder were amputated a few years ago. She has arthritis in her good (only) front leg yet that sure doesn't stop her from running, however, she was slowing down and her weight was up a bit. The Underwater Treadmill Training reduces stress on her joints while strengthening muscles. We go once a week for conditioning now that her weight is ideal and she loves it! Also, the staff is awesome... since she goes regularly, they KNOW her and noticed an issue with her ear - they caught it before it turned serious. Without hesitation, Gracie and I highly recommend them to anyone who has a pet in pain. Gracie has regained her quality of life and enjoys her long runs outside again. They are amazing!
Gracie is a fabulous patient! We love how she "prances" down the hall after she gets out of the Underwater Treadmill.
Experiencia fantástica: We were referred to Dr. Stramel by our vet for an ACL injury. We have been very happy with our experience here and would highly recommend this office. The staff and Dr. areas very attentive and caring my dog actually gets excited when we go in the door! I would highly recommend Advanced Care Veterinary Services! Carol Franks and Lydia
Thank you for allowing us to be part of Lydia's healthcare team. We are so excited to see how well Lydia is responding to her Stem Cell therapy!
Experiencia fantástica: It's been about a year since we found Dr. Strammel after seeing 5 different vets and specialists who were unable to diagnose why my 10 year old aussie was in severe pain on her front right shoulder and were already talking about amputation. This vet knew within 5 minutes she had medial shoulder instability and the path we needed to take. We started with PRP and shockwave therapy followed up by months of underwater treadmill, vibration plate and acupuncture. We got her off the steroids and down to just rimadyl. The hobbles helped wonderfully as well and I still use them when she's going to be running. She's not a young dog but I think she has made a remarkable recovery this past year and feel confident about her quality of life.
Thank you for trusting us to take care of Squeaky!
Experiencia fantástica: I had all but lost hope that my 8yo dog, Gracie, could be helped with a terrible limp that she had in her back leg. Before finding Dr. Stramel, I had taken her to several vets and even a orthopedic surgeon, but none could tell me exactly what her injury was or how to help her. A dear friend shared with me about the wonders of acupuncture and how it might really help Gracie, so I made an appointment. The thing that I appreciated the most about Dr. Stramel was that he was so about my dog! He got down on the floor with her and did a very thorough examination and told me right then what he believed the problem was and how he might help her. We started with weekly acupuncture and laser treatments, and within 2 weeks there was such a change in Gracie! She no longer severely limped and her intense desire to play returned. Dr. Stramel also took Gracie off Rimadyl and put her on a different anti inflammatory that I feel much better about giving her. I’m so grateful for the care and attention that we received at Advanced Care Veterinary Services. Dr. Stramel and Lori are a Godsend and have given me such a precious gift in giving me my dog back.
We are so pleased that Gracie is doing great and is able to live pain free!
Experiencia fantástica: Update: It has been well over a year since Dr Stramel performed PRP injections on Peisley. With her continued acupuncture and laser therapy every 5 weeks, she is living her best life. She chases her doggie brother, Tobin, around effortlessly and is able to jump 33 inches onto our bed. Recently, Tobin, our 9 year old Shar Pei, had been intermittently holding up his hind leg after being treated (by our primary vet) for an abscess. Dr Stramel thoroughly examined Tobin and believed it was a bone infection. After additional testing, Dr Stramel’s diagnosis was confirmed. Tobin was prescribed numerous antibiotics and pain medications which have completely eliminated his limp. Dr Stramel offers hope for individuals looking for non-surgical procedures for their beloved animals. Our 4 year old Chinese Shar Pei, Peisley, was diagnosed with ACL tears in both hind legs and was referred to a surgical center by our primary vet. The surgeon recommended TPLO surgery and dismissed any alternatives. After an exhaustive search on the internet, I found Advanced Care Veterinary Services. Dr Stramel informed us of numerous non-surgical options and we chose PRP injections with PT (acupuncture and laser therapy). Dr Stramel and his fantastic staff have worked wonders for Peisley. Only 5 short months since the injections, she is running around with the zoomies and jumping on the couch. With monthly acupuncture and laser therapy maintenance sessions, she is able to live her life to the fullest and pain free thanks to ACVS. Dr Stramel and his staff truly care for the well being of Peisley, even when she’s being a handful! We highly recommend ACVS.
Peisley and Tobin --- the dynamic duo! We love working with both of them.We love Peisley's little attitude and except for the underwater treadmill, she is great to work with. :) We are so happy she is able to do her zoomies!!
Experiencia fantástica: My dog had a herniated disc that caused spinal stroke, So my vet Dr Mark O Gorman recommended Dr Stramel to help her to walk again with with acupuncture and was the best decision we ever made, This occur on June 4 and her back legs were paralyzed and now as of Aug 27, she can walk without difficulty, tile is still hard for her but everywhere else she is fine, Thank you from the bottom of our heart and will be forever grateful, Dr Stramel and Lori are both wonderful and very nice and caring. Jenny is so much happier now that she can walk and as the weeks went by you could tell she was getting better and stronger each week.
Jenny is such a great dog to work with! We loved to hear how she progressed and is now doing well. We are so happy for your family!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel and his team are amazing. They have done wonders thus far with our cavalier Byron. We have being seeing improvement from day 9one. Cannot recommend this place anymore.
We really enjoy Lord Byron's visits, he is always so enthusiastic!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel and his staff are amazing. We went from having a dog that was paralyzed on his back end and ER vets suggesting we euthanize to a dog that is walking into his own now! Do NOT give up on your pets! Go see Dr. Stramel for help for your furbabies!
Tonka has an amazing story, we are happy that you allowed us to be part of his journey.
Experiencia fantástica: I have a corgi puppy who was constantly limping and we were told before seeing Dr. Stramel that she would need knee surgery. I went to meet with Dr. Stramel to get a second opinion (thank goodness I did). With the tests he did we shortly realized that her hip was the issue. He diagnosed her with hip dysplasia and we did acupuncture, laser therapy, and stem cell therapy. Now Ava can actually be a puppy. She is not limping and has all the energy in the world. I am so thankful for this amazing staff! They are so warm and welcoming and always make sure I know exactly what is going on with my dog. Ava and I love Dr. Stramel and his staff and would highly recommend them.
Ava is a great patient and has responded wonderfully to treatments! We are so happy to be part of Ava's health care team.
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent care gave our old dog another year.
We loved working with Sable and so glad that she was able to go on one more bird hunt with you!!
Experiencia fantástica: Our 13 year old lab was having a lot of joint pain. Her back legs trembled when walked and steps became impossible. Her right shoulder was also an issue. Internally she has no life threatening issues. We were looking for a way to give her a better quality of life. Our Veterinarian referred us to Advanced Care. After receiving treatments and some still ongoing, her back legs don’t tremble, getting up from a lying position is much easier, she can actually sit down and moves up and down our steps outside with little or no help. We are very encouraged and our hope is that she will be able to get out in the field sniffing out quail at short intervals.
We have a soft spot for hunting dogs! We are very happy with the way Sable is responding to therapy. We eagerly anticipate this fall to see some pictures of her out in the field!
Experiencia fantástica: I was told about Dr. Strammal by my neighbors whose dog had been in a lot of pain due to his back. Dr. Strammal had treated him with accupunture and laser and now he is like normal. My 14 year old Dachshund was in pain and had started walking on the top of her front paws and was sliding on our tile floors, not turning the paw over to the pad right away. We took her to her Vet and then a Neurologist who were talking MRI and them probably surgery. She said the problem was the neck. I hated to put her through that so we took her to Dr. Strammal. He told us in the first 30 minutes where her problems were, the neck and the mid back. The next visit, he confirmed that with an xray. From her first accupunture and laser treatment she showed a marked improvement and she just gets better every week. We have now moved to every 2 weeks and she is exercising (freedom to walk instead of confined to a playpen) 5 times a day for 30 minutes. Her whole demeanor shows she feels so much better and never turns her paws over anymore and is able to walk without sliding on our tile floors. We are extremely thankful to Dr. Strammal and his office for all they have done for Bailey and Nicky next door as well as for all the work he does with all pets in need.
We are pleased that Nicky's owners recommended our facility and glad to be able to help Bailey feel better and regain mobility without having to undergo surgery.
Experiencia fantástica: After my dog got hip surgery she was in constant pain and was never using her hip, constant swelling, it was a nightmare. We were pretty sure she was going to have to have the surgery redone, but Dr. Stramel is amazing!! He did great work and maple is well on her way to using all 4 legs!
We are happy to be working with you and Maple and wish the both of you a healthy holiday season.
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic Staff Very receptive to your pets needs with pain management. Exam rooms are always clean and treatments are started and completed in a timely fashion.
Thank you, it is great to work with you and Rudy!
Experiencia negativa: There was a choice weather to pay for the evaluation or to choose to do the water therapy treadmill as a conditioning for my dog. I chose the water treadmill therapy and from the beginning was treated differently. From the start I had to return on another visit because Dr. Strammel would not see my dog even though we had an appointment with him. I was told by the the tech he had no idea why Dr. Strammel would not see my dog. I was also told from the begining that the water temp would be hot and it rarely was. On another occasion Dr. Strammel lied and cancelled my dogs appointment for water therapy stating that there was an accident in the water therapy treadmill and it needed to be cleaned. I asked him in person at the next appointment why we were cancelled and he then stated that he had an emergency surgery with another dog. He lied and was not up front with me. He did not care about me or my dog. I would not recommend this Dr or services for your dog.
Experiencia fantástica: Very caring team and sensitive to our puppie's rehab needs. If your pet is in pain, do them a solid and take them to ACVS!
Thanks for the kind words! Looking forward to seeing what Hunny can do in the underwater treadmill at her next visit.
Experiencia fantástica: We are very pleased with the treatment of our cavalier king charles spaniel. He had a herniated disk in his back and Dr. Strammel was able to bring him back to full activity with acupuncture and laser therapy. He definitely is excellent with managing pain.
We are so glad that we were able to help Nicky recover full function and have a happy life!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel provides thoughtful, individualized care for animals with complex pain/neurologic issues without trying to rope you into long-term contracts. We take two of our three dogs to ACV; as a result, their quality of life has greatly improved. We highly recommend Dr. Stramel and his practice.
Thank you, Sue. We are so glad we can help painful pets live a better quality life. Working with your boxers is always a pleasure.
Experiencia fantástica: Considerable improvement in overall joint (shoulder) movement in my 6 year old dog. My dog's previous pronounced limp is almost unnoticeable after several treatments. Very satisfied with the results.
We are so happy with Ronin's improvement! He is so fun to work with.
Experiencia fantástica: When our husky-mix love pup developed DM, we were told we had at most a year before we'd have to make that final hard decision. We were referred to ACVS, where Dr. Strammel put our Bear on a physical therapy routine. He provided us a wealth of resources and possible treatments to help her stay happy and healthy. She loves to go to the 'spa' as we call it. Whilst her condition has progressed (as it will since there is no cure), it has progressed much more slowly and a year after her diagnosis she is still doing well and enjoying life. You MIGHT find another facility that offers this level of specialized treatment (aquatic physical therapy, acupuncture, lasers, etc) but you wouldn't have the expertise and kindness and honesty of Dr. Strammel. He's given us the gift of more time with our dog and, more importantly, helped us maintain her quality of life. I doubt Bear would be napping beside right now were it not for ACVS.
We are thrilled to be part of Bear's life. She brings us such joy as she starts "talking" as soon as she comes in for her "spa day". Thank you for the kind words.
Experiencia fantástica: Love these guys and so does Bailey. His Physical Therapy is going well and he is almost back to normal. Great job guys.
Bailey is such a happy dog, we love working with him!
Experiencia fantástica: I brought in my dog that is a partial amputee. Dr. Stramel was great. Very professional and explained everything thoroughly. My dog has a long way to go but I know she is in the best hands! Very caring staff!
It was great to meet you and Froggy! Looking forward to helping you out.
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent Veterinarian. Very Knowledgeable. Always kept me up to date on prosthetics
Experiencia fantástica: Totally Love ACVS!!! Dr Stramel and everyone who works there have been so helpful. Dr Stramel explained everything to us and his staff answered every question. (Probably too many questions). What I appreciated most is the Dr personally calling to check up our dogs progress.
Thank you! We enjoy working with you and Taz!
Experiencia fantástica: The staff at advanced veterinary medicine has been friendly courteous compassionate and warm. Our 11-year-old lab suffered from vestibular disease couldn’t walk stand up go to the bathroom on his own. After one treatment of acupuncture and laser therapy who is able to stand up on his own start walking it’s just been a miracle
We are so happy with the results that your pet has shown to treatment.
Experiencia fantástica: I can’t say enough great things about them! Because of them my baby can walk again!
We are so happy that Crystal is doing so well. We also want to give a shout out to DFW Dachshund Rescue for their help with Canela.
Experiencia fantástica: I brought my lab, Ben to Advanced Care Veterinary Services for weakness in his rear legs. Ben did underwater treadmill therapy, and he also did acupuncture and cold laser therapy. It helped Ben tremendously. Dr. Stramel and Ron took great care of Ben, and he always looked forward to going to the clinic. Ben was also put on Rimadyl and Gabapentin with good results.
Melanie, it was great to get to know the two of you and to help Ben re-gain some mobility with less pain in the hips.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel is awesome! My dog Chrissie has been seeing him for three years and she wouldn't be alive today if we had not gone to him. Chrissie is 17 1/2 and diagnosed in renal failure three years ago. She was not eating and wasting away when I reached out to Dr. Stramel about acupuncture. The alternative the vet that diagnosed her had given for Chrissie would not have given her the quality of life I wanted for her. It is not about keeping her alive for me, it is about her life! Chrissie is alive today and has a great quality of life being queen and spoiled. She is eating and maintaining her weight, taking walks almost daily and enjoying life as a senior dog! She gets her acupuncture every two weeks and you can tell afterwards the difference. It is not going to cure her kidney disease but it does give her a sense of wellbeing and happiness. Dr. Stramel thinks outside of the box and he isn't set on following the normal protocol hence he helped Chrissie get back to eating. This is why Chrissie is alive today! I am glad he is on our pet care team! Dr. Stramel Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I know that is what Chrissie would say!And I do too :)
We are pleased with Chrissie's response to therapy and very happy for the both of you. Thank you for the kind words. It really is amazing how acupuncture can benefit pets and make them feel so much better. Chrissie is a great example!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Strammel is the BEST. My dachshund needed help - he was barely able to walk and facing expensive surgery. Now we see Dr. Strammel for acupuncture and he's back to the happy dog he once was. And he loves his frozen treat at every visit. Highly recommend!
We are so happy that Jasper was able to recover his mobility without surgery! He is such a great patient during his acupuncture sessions!
Experiencia fantástica: There are truly no words to describe how grateful we are for Dr Stamel and his team. We were at the end of our rope trying to find a way to get our dog Gizmo to walk again. He was completely paralyzed in all 4 legs for several months due to his disease IVDD. Our primary care vet did all he could do. And we went to another vet that seemed to make it worse. And then I found Advanced Care Vet Services. Our first visit he was very clear and didn't give us any false hope. But didn't discourage us either. Within 2 treatments (acupuncture and laser treatment) just 2 weeks before Christmas 2016...Gizmo took his first steps he had taken in months. Now...we have a normal walking dog. I HIGHLY suggest Advance Care Veterinary Services. Especially if your dog has IVDD. You couldn't ask for more caring people. My primary care vet is also very impressed with how far Gizzy has come. Call today you won't be disappointed.
Kathi, your care for Gizmo is exceptional. We are so thrilled that Gizmo has re-gained mobility. He is a "poster dog" of what can happen when a dog responds to acupuncture and has a dedicated owner. Thank you for allowing us to be part of Gizmo's health care team!
Experiencia fantástica: My lab was supported through two TPLO surgeries by Advanced Care, and despite the personal stress, the experience was great! Ron and Dr. Stramel were great about answering questions, and engaged really well with Cooper. Cooper is 6+ and nearly 4 months, post surgery on each leg and is doing very well!
It was wonderful to meet and work with you and Cooper. He is such a ball of energy!
Experiencia fantástica: During your first visit to the clinic Dr. Stramel will give you honest knowledgeable answers to your questions. He has a range of tools and procedures that he can use and significant experience to know when to use them. In the time that I have spent there I could tell that Dr Stramel has treated multiple animals for clients and organizations. Unhappy customers do not return. I have a 95# dog that had spine surgery and I feel that he would not have recovered as well without this service. In my case I could see improvement every week. They treat many 'routine' type cases like mine but if you feel that you have a tough case then this is your place. Give them a call as soon as you think you need help (and especially as soon as you can if your dog had spine surgery). This will give your dog the best chance for maximum recovery and it will likely be less costly to treat. Good luck to you!
I am glad Clint is doing so well and getting back his mobility.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel and Ron were so attentive to to my dog's injury. She is now 100% better so I am pleased to have them nearby.
We are so happy Zora responded to her therapy.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Stramel has improved the lives of 3 of my pets over the past 7 years. My first dog had great results with acupuncture so when my next dog was diagnosed with arthritis I knew where to go. 6 months ago Oscar would barely stand without help and could not walk more than 2 houses distance. He is getting acupuncture and takes Galliprant. Today he is jumping on the couch and walking 3/4 mile. My 16 yr old, arthritic cat is also an acupuncture patient. Rascal was lethargic and not able to climb to his favorite perch, today he walks around interested in what's going on and able to keep an eye on the neighborhood from his favorite chair. Thanks Dr. Stramel and Ron for all your good work!
Kathy, we are so glad to be part of your pet's health team. We are glad the "kids" are doing well.
Experiencia fantástica: If I didn't see if for myself, I'm not sure I would have believed how well acupuncture works on my 18 year old min pin! He is walking today because of the care Dr. Stramel and his assistant Ron give to my dog. I would highly recommend getting your dog evaluated.
Experiencia fantástica: Awesome Vet! Really helped my elder dog through his senior years. Will defiantly use again, and I highly recommend them. Very compassionate and loving people.
Experiencia fantástica: A very caring atmosphere with superb Veternary care. Dr. Strammel and his Assistant Ron make you feel comfort and truly care about your pet.
Experiencia fantástica: It initially feels strange to adhere to acupuncture for your dog, but there's no denying that it helped him. The underwater treadmill sessions wiped him out for the day, but helped strengthen his arthritic legs.
We are so glad to be part of Moose's veterinary team to keep him feeling well.
