Experiencia positiva: The therapist a wonderful, but if you have BCBS insurance look somewhere else. They bill as institution (facility) charges and BCBS applies that charge to your deductible instead of you copay. Instead of $60 for two visits you will be looking at close to $800. I have gone rounds and rounds with both the billing department for the hospital and the insurance and they each point the finger at the other saying they can’t change their policy. Outpatient therapy says this is how they always bill and BCBS says they only charge that way to bill you more money and if they would change the code they would pay. So, short version: check with your insurance to verify they will pay the institution or facility charge that the outpatient therapy charges so you don’t end up in the same boat I’m in.
