Experiencia fantástica: This has been a positive experience. When I arrived, I needed physical therapy and occupational therapy. I have completely recovered and graduated in independent mobility without staff assistance or use of the walker. Sometimes I even have to slow down. All staff have been kind and considerate from unit managers/staff to kitchen staff. This residence is clean and the ground are lovely and well maintained. I have no worries and have been satisfied with my residency at Pope John Paul Ii.

Experiencia fantástica: My sister has been in SJP for a year. Staff have been compassionate and humanistic towards her. Props to the Recreation Department, Debbie and Erica, for attempting to get her moving. From SW Laurie to the Receptionist Kim to the nursing/aides to the dietician/chef to financial office, etc all do their best to keep up my sister’s spirits. Executive Director Helen is very transparent during the family virtual meetings I truly thank all for keeping my sister alive during COVID-19 and assisting her in her deficit areas. Here is an updated review….still giving SJP 5 stars. Props to the Memory Unit Director Joan. She responds quickly to my emails and calls. Tracey from Recreation assists my sister kindly during our ZOOM sessions; love that there are more recreational activities, including the weekend and runs later in the day/afternoon. Staff I’ve dealt with are wonderful and informative; and I’m not easy to please . Lol. This is a new review, 4/25/22: I still give SJP high marks. From the Executive Director Maria to all the staff, have taken care of my sister since 2019. Joan, Director of the Memory Care Unit, responds quickly to questions/info, as does Andrea G., Laurie K., Nurses/CNAs, Rec Staff, Nancy & Rosa from the Business Office, and Kim the receptionist are all lovely. It’s an unfortunate situation putting your loved one in a nursing HOME/SNF, but I feel that my sister is safe and being taken care of. BECAUSE no one wants my wrath! Lol. New Review-1/5/23: Still appreciate all of the staff for caring for my sister. Memory Care Unit staff rocks!!! Review Date: 3/7/23: Memory care staff are great, led by Director JOAN GINTY. She responds to my calls/emails, as does Andrea GOTTSCHALK, in a timely manner. The facility needs to improve the wi-fi /internet connections so Google Chats with my sister don’t freeze or doesn’t connect. I feel that my sister is in the “right place.” From Nurse Patrina (and others), Receptionist Kim and Finance office Nancy and Rosa, are all part of my sister’s team. Would like to “meet” weekly, via Google Chat, with administrator/director as was done in the past for updates/info or just to chat.

Experiencia positiva: My major concern is understaffing of CNA's. Aides are overworked and underpaid and asked to do double shifts quite often. Considering the recent Covid situation, all staff should be commended on their effort I also have the concern of the frequent turnover of lead administrators. My sister receives competent care and even though she is quite disabled, with very limited mobility, she does take part in recreation activities. I commend Debbie and her staff for their commitment.

Experiencia fantástica: All I can say is wow! Finding a place for your loved one unexpectedly is extremely daunting but my experience has gone well compared to the horrifying stories I’ve heard. A special thanks to Rafca, she is welcoming and informative and put me at ease when it came to transitioning my mom.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been very happy with the care of my loved one at SJP over a number of years. In particular, there has been great communication and concern by staff in all departments, including nursing, therapies, memory care, and the business office. I feel comfortable with this facility because of its people.
