Skillz Physical Therapy - Evanston

Experiencia fantástica: I had a *great* experience with Skillz Physical Therapy, and highly recommend Aime Maranan and her staff. I searched long and hard for a PT that was close to home and not part of a chain, and Skillz was right here in Evanston all along. I had pain associated with tight scalenes as well as recurrent tension headaches. Aime gave me effective hands-on treatments and exercises to do at home, both of which have helped to greatly reduce the frequency of my headaches. She also performed dry needling on two knots that I’ve had in my shoulders for literally decades. The procedure was brief and a little freaky, but *very* effective with minimal discomfort afterwards. And those knots have practically melted away, which I never thought possible. In addition to being an obviously skilled physical therapist, Aime is warm, kind and compassionate. She welcomes questions and takes time to explain things thoroughly. Her staff -- Connie and Amna -- are equally warm and friendly, and it felt like I was hanging out with friends every time I went in for treatment. If I need PT again, I will definitely want Aime at Skillz to take care of me.

Experiencia fantástica: Aime is an exceptional physical therapist. I went to her for knee replacement rehab and vestibular therapy. She excelled at both! I was at a "big box" PT place making very little progress and in a lot of pain. Aime put me at ease right away. She did a thorough assessment, went over my goals and we made a plan. She was patient yet encouraging. She uses multiple modalities to recover strength and range of motion and provides an easy-to-use app for at-home exercises. Plus, she varied the exercises so I did not get bored. She is a great cheerleader and I'm happy to report that I am back to pre-surgery activity levels. Recovering from knee replacement takes A LOT of work, but with a knowledgeable and compassionate PT like Aime, you'll see results. I would not dream of going anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: I had been living with neck pain, leading to regular headaches and migraines for several years which impacted my functioning in many different ways. I am so glad that I finally went in for treatment. Not only is my neck pain under control, but I feel more empowered by the education that Aime gave me. I had gone to the MD to get some guidance, but only left with more questions. I made several simple lifestyle changes based on her recommendations, which radically changed my day-to-day pain experience. I genuinely feel as if my life has changed for the better in 6 weeks, and I am not plagued with body pain. Aime is just so kind, patient, and supportive—everything that I would want in a provider. She never shamed me for any of the posture errors I was making in the past, and genuinely seemed invested in my progress. Although I have completed my PT cycle, I plan on going back for regular treatments because Aime and her team have been so helpful. I would recommend her clinic to anyone looking for PT services.
