Evolve Flagstaff - Gym, Physical Therapy, and Dietitian

Experiencia fantástica: I have been lucky enough to be seen by both Abby & Brian, & I cannot stress enough how exceptional these visits were. After years of healthcare appointments leaving me frustrated & discouraged, I was in awe at the patience, empathy, & depth of knowledge of both of these providers. Both sought to understand the root causes of my struggles/frustrations/pains in their respective specialties. Both were so willing to explore options & test out multiple solutions to see what worked for me, & neither jumped to conclusions to try & provide quick diagnoses or "easy way out" solutions (something I've experienced over & over during previous healthcare visits). I felt listened to, respected, & like I was looked at as a real human with my own history & unique experiences. I truly cannot recommend EVOLVE enough. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: The overall summary of my review is this: Evolve is fantastic, this business is something special and while I admit that the pricing is more than most other gyms, it is worth every dollar and more. I use physical therapy provided by Brian, have done dietitian counseling with Abby and make use of their coached classes fairly regularly. Brian is professional, responsive to concerns and questions (and is very expansive in elaborating not only the how of movements and therapies but the whys as well, which I appreciate immensely) and most importantly is very good at his job. When he and I can align on therapies both in the gym and in my life (I tend to be the holdout there) old injuries and current hot spots show remarkable improvements and outcomes (this is a bit of a personal flex, but I never imagined my knees could do 300+ lbs. squats before coming to this gym). Abby is similarly brilliant and compassionate in her counseling, and while I no longer continue seeing her in an official capacity it’s mostly cause the long term strategies she suggested and coached me through have been fruitful and while I can’t claim perfection in how I approach and treat food, she has been beyond helpful and supportive in cultivating my healthy habits. Those two are the owners of Evolve and I feel remiss if I didn’t also compliment their ability to identify and hire awesome people to help with the classes that are ran here. While I have not met every coach, every single one I have has been positive, supportive and approachable both in and out of class. I think Abby and Brian have really cultivated a warm and positive culture in this gym and the members, coaches, owners and even support staff are all reflections of that. The people here are generous, warm and, most importantly, effective. Recent highlights have been Abby immediately diagnosing a physiological issue I'm experiencing that took four doctors three years to figure out and pointing me to research that led to an effective therapy to deal with it that no one else had suggested. I know how fake that must sound, but this is what drove me to write this review. She refused to let me pay her for this consult. Brian is basically the mechanic I turn my body over to after I’ve abused it (in case it needs to be said, in injuries I incur outside of class/gym) he’s treated injuries to my knees, hips, wrists, shoulders and lower back. I keep finding new ways to fall (this might explain why he has me do balance work all the time) and he keeps finding ways to make me stronger and keep me from re-injurying the same area. I plan to be invincible around 55. Anyways, this is a great business, you should give them a shot.

Experiencia fantástica: Abby is so great at what she does. She is helping me to meet tangible goals by meeting me where I am and working with what works best for my lifestyle and behavior patterns. She is very effective at thinking outside the box and taking the extra step to help address poor dietary habits from a holistic approach, including taking psychological factors into play. This is a very effective practice and I'd recommend to anyone - this is coming from someone who is not always eager about taking new health ventures with health professionals!

Experiencia fantástica: When I walked into their new space, I was immediately impressed with all of the equipment and resources they have. My first visit with Brian was great. I feel his knowledge of the anatomy and more specifically the nerve issues I am having in my back was well understood and with a clear plan of how to come back stronger. I also feel great that the road forward with Evolve doesn't just end at the acute rehab from surgery but rather a long term conditioning and goal to be better than before this injury. Im looking forward to getting back at it and feel really grateful to be going here.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great visit here for an appointment with the Dietitian. Abby is incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, communicative, and has a desire to help others understand the best ways to handle their nutrition. She offered valuable insight into both food/eating perspectives/attitudes, as well as the foundations of what will be a holistic, safe, and thorough nutrition plan for my unique situation. I had heard great things regarding her work from others, and I can genuinely say she exceeded what were already high expectations which I had going into the appointment.
