Experiencia fantástica: My daughter has struggled with her mental health most of her life, but tries hard to deal with it on her own. When she realized she couldn’t, she started going to Centerstone. Yes, they’re busy and yes, it’s hard to get an appointment, but we’ve never had one ugly experience there. In fact, the receptionist Stephanie goes out of her way every single time for my girl. Super thankful for Mrs. Kristie as well! She listens and honestly cares! Super thankful for both people there!

Experiencia negativa: This place is supposed to be able to help those in need of seeking mental health support, and I’ve been calling for days trying to get the next available appt. & they keep saying that they are booked to call back. If they are short of therapist I suggest they run some job fairs, and post job listings because there is no way you folks are in business, and are not able to except patients at this time. I am very dissatisfied with their service.

Experiencia negativa: Don't go here unless you have no choice. It's a community mental health center so it's the lowest of the low and most of the people who work here are overworked and underpaid or just really suck at their jobs and have zero empathy. I seriously think if I had never gone here I would have been better off and would have recovered faster. I think going here for "therapy" really just made my mental health worse by being constantly invalidated, misdiagnosed, mocked and mistreated. I was young at the time and trusted these "professionals" to help me when I was struggling with my mental health and although it's been years I'm still haunted by this place. I have a SERIOUS distrust of mental health professionals because of my experiences here and haven't been to a therapist or psych in years yet I'm living a successful life and doing better than ever. I would only go here for psych meds if you need a prescription and it's drugs you already have experience with and they work well for you. These people put me on so many different drugs that made me feel insane and wouldn't listen to a word I said.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t waste your time. I had an appointment scheduled for May 23rd. When I showed up (on time, I might add) they told me up and down I was scheduled for May 21st and missed the appointment. Not only did I tell the girl on the phone I was scheduling for May 23rd because I wanted to make all my appointments the same day, but I would have never scheduled an appointment for May 21 because I was literally moving that day! My husband was in the car with me and can confirm the appointment was indeed made for May 23rd. I can deal with maybe someone in admin making a mistake on their scheduling end and apologizing, but they kept insisting that I missed the appointment. I have no problem admitting when I make an error on my end, but this was not one of those times. I understand it’s a mental health services place, so they probably think I’m stupid and can’t take care of myself, but I know that I scheduled the right day because I’ve been waiting for care for months and I was so excited to finally have an appointment. They had the gall to ask me if I want to reschedule - I declined because I have no desire to put my health in the hands of an organization that can’t even correctly schedule a patient or at least own up and apologize for an error.

Experiencia negativa: My wife call the office and the receptionist was completely rude and she didn’t care about anything! We had a referral but she said that there were no openings and we just had to call everyday to check for an opening. If I could give please zero stars I would! Do not go to this place at all! THEY DONT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: The absolute worst centerstone location in all of Tennessee. Dr Elizabeth Hayes is especially one of the worst psychiatrists I've ever seen in my life. She never ever listens to patients and is completely narcissistic and uncaring. Not to mention the nurse on staff at the Clarksville location acts like a you-know-what alot of times, and obviously doesn't care about how she treats people or her job at all. It's pathetic that the staff at this location hates their own personal lives or jobs so much they take it out on the patients

Experiencia negativa: So they schedule my son’s intake appointment for a court order for 9a. We got there at 8:30a only to be told his initial appointment is not til 10a. So, 10a hits no one has called it said anything to us. He was not seen til 10:30am. They paperwork they had us come in a hour early for took 10-15min if that. Then I ask who can I speak to about this because, this is not the only thing I had to do today, and it could have been expressed the full details on the phone. I was told to google corporate number. Are you serious? Every facility has upper management. This facility is getting worse, staff is unprofessional/rude, and after all these years of the building falling apart they’ve only made minor fixes. Get it together!

Experiencia fantástica: Readily available, professional, patient and worked to find the best counselor for me as well as made sure they were in network both the facility and counselor. My sessions have been worth my time and I have a sharp minded counselor.

Experiencia positiva: I have mixed feelings about Centerstone. I decided to give a 4 star review because ultimately, when I needed help they got it for me. I have never had any real issues when it comes to the psych team. There has been a lot of trial and error with meds but I have a great medical provider now, who really loves and cares what she does. I have not had good luck with actual counselors from this establishment. It took months and months to get okayed for counseling, and they weren't any good for my issue. So I don't go for counseling there .

Experiencia negativa: i mean seriously people with all sorts of issues come to this place. you would think the staff would be more kind ! not only are they rude to patients but their own co workers too. one lady went off on the girl next to her while another lady behind them laughed at the whole thing and watched. and i watched the lady in front of me mumble about everything it was so uncomfortable and unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: My experience with this facility was flat out awful, and ultimately led to the worst spiral of my life. On top of getting the run around on a therapist more catered to my needs (which they explicitly insisted they were able to help with- they never put me in touch with one, after calling and calling and calling about it) the psych nurse (Stacy Dycus) who was the only staff member I ever saw (after giving up on the joke of a counselor I initially started with) kept upping the dose of a medication I expressed concern with. I tried to trust him, because I felt like I had no other option... I needed help. He just kept telling me "there is still room for improvement" on the medication. It got the point where I was on the max dose of it. This medication ruined me. But I couldn't stop it because of the severe withdrawal effects. But at that point I lost all respect and trust in this man. These people do not listen to what you have to say about your own intuition and how you feel about the medication they put you on. In fact, it seemed like medication was the most important aspect to them, which is so dangerous. I highly recommend not even trying with this place. It's not worth it.

Experiencia negativa: My fiance experienced a mental breakdown as a result of a medication dose increase which came close to shattering our lives and honestly has on some levels. I came close to losing her and she had to spend a week in a psychiatric facility. She had expressed uncomfortable thoughts and her desire to come off of her antidepressant medication but Dr. Dycus kept increasing her dosage regardless. Now that she's off of the medication she's been feeling a lot better. Please don't take a chance with your mental health, seek a better facility. Absolutely disgraceful.

Experiencia negativa: EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED: I started going to Centerstone in Dickson, TN a few yrs ago thinking I needed regular counseling with one of the staff. I transferred to Clarksville & attended zoom meetings. I was scanned for a mental disorder back in 2019 which on their standard came back negative. Throughout the next 2 yrs I’ve seeked regular counseling. During a scheduled meeting one day, the staff member told me that although I came back negative from the 2019 scan, I have another mental disorder. They let me go without professional help from any other provider or have any needed medication. I immediately contacted my primary dr & he prescribed medication.

Experiencia negativa: Honestly so bad it made me terrified of therapy since. Therapist literally just stared at me as I was having a breakdown about a dissociative issue and then when I asked if she was gonna say anything said "What do you want to talk about?" And that was only one of them. Another was late so consistently she got fired. This is only a few, I went here for 2 years, saw everyone in this horrible excuse of a mental health office, was pessured into family therapy so hard even speaking about family with them made me nervous, ended up so so much worse. They only care about depression and anxiety so hope to god they're never in charge of someone with complex trauma and dissociation again. Honestly should be completely shut down or restaffed. Thanks for ruining my teen years.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Jerome and his staff are a joke. My girlfriend waited for the first available appoint for almost two months while battling her mental health. They sent a reminder for her zoom appointment and then the doctor no call no showed and then never reached back out to her voicemails she left. The staff was rude about getting her in touch with him and when he finally reached back out he was aggressive, rude, and interrupting being defensive about missing the appointment. Unacceptable. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone who actually cares about the mental health of themselves, family member, or friend. I would give zero stars if given the option. Mental health is fragile and the way you handled this was so very unprofessional. You should give up your license.

Experiencia negativa: I went here for a few months and gained nothing. I saw 2 counselors and neither gave me any valuable information to aid in my mental health, both were consistently late, and both consistently canceled appointments last minute. I had multiple appointments cancelled an hour or less before it was supposed to start. I also didn’t receive a bill for any service until 5 months later I received a bill for 3 months all at once.

Experiencia fantástica: My partner has been going there for years before I even knew her. And sense I have been going in with her Iv been very thankful for her Dr . She goes above and beyond to understand and treat my partner as a person . Getting to know her in and out . We never ever walk out of there without a plan or a smile . The staff is very great . And we never had a problem. Every place isn’t perfect . Every busy fails . But the service will grow along with those fails . And in our eyes this place has worked wonders for my partner. Just wanna say thank you for all that you do .

Experiencia negativa: Don't go here if you can, I've been left without a therapist or psychologist multiple times, I am only 18 in the first time they left me was when I was about 15 and extremely suicidal, they left me for an entire summer without any therapy which I'm supposed to have, and now when I try to get a new psychologist they seem to refuse to actually let me go through with it I'm trying to get documentation of my disability and this place doesn't want to, they don't want to help you they just want money and even the one good therapist I meant she left and I wasn't given any notice like no none, I I wasn't even given a summer therapist so that I could still be looked at feeling minor back then If you can go somewhere else trust me this place isn't worth it

Experiencia negativa: Do not waste your time. I came from out of state and they refused to acknowledge any of my past diagnoses. They don’t have doctors but NP’s. They’ll sign you up for things you don’t ask for with case management. The last time I spoke with the case management team, they asked why I even needed them. I responded, “I don’t know!” And still I kept getting appointments made for it. And if you happen to have ADHD, even if you’ve previously been diagnosed, RUN. They don’t actually admit that they don’t treat it, but instead act like you’re a drug pusher while smiling in your face. I was signed up for a Psych Eval and waited for months for it, when it turned out to only be an appointment with a nurse practitioner telling me it’s just ‘anxiety.’ Y’all, I had to demand to attain my records for MONTHS to get the truth out of them. I now have to somehow get several inaccurate diagnostics off of my record in order to be taken seriously by any other medical professional because they put me down as SCHIZOPHRENIC. They do not care about you. Period.

Experiencia negativa: Do not go here. If I could leave zero stars I would. My son has severe ADHD and we scheduled his appointment months in advance. We did the intake virtually without him, and filled out any and all paperwork they asked for. My husband made it clear to Centerstone that I was our son's step mother, but had a power of attorney for all of his medical care. My husband is military and gone often, and our son's mother is unable to take him to appointments. They told us everything was in order and scheduled his appointment. I took him to his appointment and they cancelled the day of, stating my husband would have to leave work to come and sign other forms we were told nothing about. They said the power of attorney was not sufficient regardless of what they had previously said. They said it could not be for all health, but had to state explicitly "mental health." The other option was for my husband to come and sign some other release form we had not been told about previously, because apparently my power of attorney is not good enough. Because I have worked in public policy and admin jobs, I tried to be patient and understanding, but it was the lack of customer service or empathy that really disgusted me. The most pathetic thing is, the person I was speaking with seemed to get some sort of sick satisfaction from our misfortune. I told several of the staff members that my son was going to run out of medicine and would struggle in school, they genuinely did not seem to care whatsoever. My husband went up there in person, signed the forms, and they said they would call about my son's appointment. He even gave them a new power of attorney that explicitly stated mental health, just incase. Over a month later, NOTHING. My son is out of medicine, having difficulty in school and it is because the staff is incompetent and does not care. When we followed up again about the need for an appointment, in relationship to his medication running out, they told us to see if his pediatrician could fill his medication. This immediately seemed ludicrous, considering most ADHD medications are controlled substances. I was pretty sure that was not going to happen, but we still asked his pediatrician. His pediatrician said they could not prescribe it because it was a controlled substance. When my husband called the clinic back to tell them his pediatrician was unable to help, they still did not care. Many of the staff members seem to get a power trip from others' misfortunes. A week ago my husband called to see where they were in the process and they told him they were not going to even bother calling back because they considered it a cancellation on our part. I have given up on receiving a call back. When my husband got frustrated they could not seem to comprehend why, and told him they would call back regarding my son's appointment. Still nothing. I have NEVER given a poor review online. In fact, I am the person who tries to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. However, I do not want anyone else to go through this, and it is apparent by some of the other reviews that I am not alone. GO ELSEWHERE IF YOU CAN!

Experiencia negativa: I wish i could leave negative stars. I made an appointment here for my child who was in serious need. I explained to them that it was necessary to be seen soon. They scheduled us and then cancelled the day of the appointment 10 mins before we left the house. We rescheduled for 3 weeks later and we drive an hour to get there to be told that they didn't know she was a new patient which is total b.s. they talked to me for 30 mins getting her info and checking insurance. As we are pulled up in the parking lot they call and say that they made a mistake and need to reschedule her again! This place is a joke. If my child would have gotten hurt or sick they wouldn't even care. Don't go here!!!!

Experiencia negativa: My fiance had an appointment this morning they set it a month ago for January 29th @11:30am we got here at 11 with our two babies and ge goes in to them telling him his appointment is actually set for 1 p.m. so he comes back outside we didn't have the gas to go all the way 45 minutes back home so we sat here with our two children and waited he goes in it's now almost three so I call and asked how much longer it will be because we only brought one bottle for our 11 month old and the lady laughed at me and hung up poor poor manners

Experiencia positiva: Months ago I left a hyper critical review here when I was angry and in a bad place mentally. I'm revising my review to better reflect the truth. This place isn't perfect, but the staff here have done wonders for me and my mental health. The doctors and therapists are excellent. The on site pharmacy is my preferred location for all my prescriptions, and the front desk staff are far more helpful than I gave them credit for. I'm sorry for the hateful rant I went on in my original review. I was hurting and frustrated and didn't give an honest enough criticism. Centerstone has helped me, and that is the thing that matters most.

Experiencia negativa: Centerstone is the type of place that treats you like cattle in a revolving door - no individualized care. I was invited to sit in an associate's office visit after I was informed they had some concerns after meeting their new Physician, Dr. Daniel S Javier. Dr. Javier had concerns that the 'patient' was on this medication since they were 5 to help them with their ADHD. Now keep in mind this person is in their 30's. Has gone to Centerstone for over a decade and gone through six different practitioners - with no concerns. At the end of the visit Dr. Javier wanted the 'client' to take a drug screen. He never explained why - other than he 'treats all his patients the same.' So that means he doesn't offer individualized care and if someone is taking more than the necessary prescribed medication or abusing their medication - that won't show up on a drug screen, so not sure what he expected. When it was pressured to why the drug screen was necessary - he just stated the 'client' can find a new doctor. At the end the client submitted to a drug screen as there was nothing to hide. Yet, the doctor's bedside manner leaves a lot to be described and if he can't explain his reasoning for his actions - that speaks for itself. After the visit - I was informed by the person who invited me - that the doctor wasn't as abrasive as he was originally in their first visit. They attributed this to me sitting there - in the initial visit the Dr. was allegedly a lot more accusatory. Based on what I observed, since the facility predominately caters to the lower income residents of the community - staff seem to have preconceived notions that comes with that. If you are on any type of controlled substance - be ready to explain yourself and to be treated like a drug abuser. The doctor's behavior is the sole reason why the 'client' found a new provider - even though they went to Centerstone for close to a decade Centerstone has many issues from the practitioners to assisting a new provider with receiving your documents. If they receive medical request form - they won't do anything with them or even inform you that their isn't their department. They will just simply toss it - as it isn't their department/building - and you won't be aware of that until you call to followup. Also, they place another burden on retrieving your documents as they charge .50 a page. That can quickly add up if you have been going their for years. If you go there for a few years - you will see Centerstone has high turnover rate. If you have private insurance go somewhere else, but if you have Tenncare or Medicaid and can't go anywhere else - it's a shame that you don't have any other option besides this place.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give negative stars I would. From the doctors (who you’ll never see- only psychiatric nurses) to the desk clerks, everyone hates their job and treats you like an inconvenience. You will always spend at least an hour in the waiting room, even when you have an appointment. Anyone on anxiolytics, such as Xanax or Klonopin, will be treated as a “drug seeker.” They shuffle you from practitioner to practitioner, and you basically have to prove to each person that you have a legitimate psychiatric diagnosis, even if you were diagnosed a decade ago. Any patient who disagrees with a treatment program or medication change is automatically slapped with an additional diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, despite not meeting a single criteria as defined by the DSMV. Don’t go here. Don’t send your kids here. It’s better to have your primary care dr throw something at a dartboard of medications than to subject anyone to these terrible people. The same is true of the Nashville Centerstone. Beware!

Experiencia negativa: Had a emotional breakdown one time at a skate park. A one time thing only because I had a crisis temporarily event going on in my life. It tracked a lot of unwanted attention Clarksville Pd got involved took me to the hospital involuntarily for evaluation. A complete waste of time. Then Tennova had centerstone call me the next day just for a check up. I told the lady on the other line I was fine I did not intend for all you people to get involved. She then asked can you come see us for further therapy next week. And I said No I don’t need treatment this is something I need to handle on my own no one can help me. Clarksville PD, Tennova, Centerstone should have never got involved it was a one time thing that doesn’t require treatment or anything that happened. Clarksville PD, Tennova, and Centerstone are nothing but a bunch of idiots and a complete waste of time. Especially too the lady who asked me to come see them. They are no experts.

Experiencia negativa: 3 instances where my daughter medication was not filled for 5 days or longer (going into weekend). This isn’t allergy medication, this is vital for her well being and productivity. It was brought to the attention of the office manager who say “we get busy but not everyday and not all the time” most likely will be changing doctors for my 2 children who go here. They didn’t seem to care, and came across as bothered.
