Experiencia positiva: The nurses working in the upstairs labor and delivery were fantastic. I had an especially great experience with the second nurse Daniella, she was phenomenal at servicing me and being so understanding after losing my son. When I was moved downstairs to post delivery I had the opposite experience. All of the nurses were hovering and sent in a Chaplin when I did not ask for one. I explained I wanted to be left alone which they finally listened but then it took 45 minutes for them to come in when I pressed my call button. We were supposed to be discharged around 5/6 pm, they did not release me until 8. They additionally told me that they would call the funeral home after our departure and this morning we called to confirm our sons pick up and they told us that they never called them. Additionally I did not appreciate the sign on the door advertising my loss.

Experiencia positiva: First time hospital goer here. I’ll start by saying the ER front desk staff were rude and unhelpful; their attitudes really made it seem as if they hated their job and did not want to be there. I was not too confident going into my hospital stay based off that first interaction. However, besides the ER front desk staff, everyone was wonderful. My ER nurse Christian was wonderful; really kept my spirits up with his positive attitude and sense of humor. My ICU nurse Katie was amazing; she was very friendly, accommodating, and informative. It was so great to see her again when she came back the next day to say hi even though she was no longer my assigned nurse. Jessica, the nurse I had when I was transferred to a standard room, was so awesome; she really went above and beyond advocating on my behalf. Most of the doctors were great too. It was a little concerning just because I kept hearing different things about my diagnoses from different doctors. So it was difficult to fully understand what was going on. But I feel I had a good understanding of it all by the time I was discharged.

Experiencia fantástica: My granddaughter was transferred here from another hospital due to the severity of her illness. From the moment we arrived nurses Meghan and Julie were her angels for 3 days. They are the most upstanding, compassionate, gentle, caring, and professional nurses I have ever dealt with. It was an extremely scary time for our little 4 year old and both Meghan and Julie kept us informed, positive and comfortable the entire time! Her parents and myself cannot thank them enough. This hospital is very lucky to have them. (Pediatrics).
