Experiencia negativa: Took my 'tween daughter to a visit with Dr. Ellyn Nilsen at Catalyst to correct a posture issue. Prior to visiting, we completed an extensive online questionnaire, and upon check-in, the reception mentioned we did not complete the required paperwork, despite the fact we'd spent 15 minutes the night before and received the green checkmark and requisite "thank you" for persisting thru dozens of screens. Then the reception guy handed me a stack of redundant forms to fill in...but sadly, I did not bring my reading glasses...and by the way, I am an immigrant and English is not my first language. What I struggle! Then we met Dr. Ellyn and were immediately set back by her brusque personality. My daughter is a little shy to begin with, but Dr. Ellyn made us both feel very uncomfortable, questioning every field we filled and box checked on the forms, almost as if we were being cross-examined by a prosecuting attorney. For example, she questioned why my daughter considered herself a 7th grader (just finished 6th grade), while I had written 6th grade on the form. What does it really matter? Finally, we got on to the meat of the visit and worked our way through it. In the end, Dr. Ellyn prescribed some exercises for my daughter to improve her posture. At that point, she told us her printer didn't work and suggested for me to take pictures of her laptop screen instead. Hard to believe I paid $120 for this grief! Not recommended...never going back!

Experiencia fantástica: I hit the jackpot when I found CATALYST Physical Therapy on Court Street in Clearwater. Dr Mandy gave mobility to my locked thumb which now functions at 100%. Dr Ellyn applied her expertise to my left shoulder which had been out of commission for two years. The pain is gone, I am finally sleeping well, and I’m playing sports again. SOOOO grateful for these talented therapists who are highly educated in field of PT and listen carefully to the many needs of their patients. Five stars for sure!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Catalyst for a month or so, after I started getting arthritic pain radiating though my limbs from the neck and back. With some stretching and some strengthening, the pain is almost totally gone. I'm very thankful for the help I received at Catalyst. The whole group of physical therapists I have access to is very competent and helpful. With a variety of personal twists (literally), each one adds a great component to your treatment. For over a year I struggled with terrible pain from Achilles tendinitis which prevented me from doing my favorite physical activities. I had been to several doctors tried different treatments but it was not until I started going to PT with Ellyn that I finally saw results. This is because she went beyond just focusing on my foot and was able to identify the source of where the issues originated, which was not even in the foot. I am now able to get back to my walking and running, which at a point, I thought may never happen. Experiencia fantástica: This review is overdue. I’ve been seeing the professionals at Catalyst PT for a while now. I first saw them for some therapy after a cycling accident last year and I’ve continued with some other issues that have cropped up. Catalyst is a professional yet welcoming, optimistic environment. It’s not a sterile (aside from the appropriate clinical sterility of course), windowless environment so many of these places seem to be. They have state of the art equipment and every accoutrement one would hope to see in a PT office. But the real stars are the therapists themselves. So allow me to name drop for a moment. Dr. Jenn is a beacon of competence. Confident and friendly (when she’s not inflicting pain with the occasional twinkle in her eye), she puts you at ease and quells your anxiety from the first consult and first touch. The associate therapist are also a delight. Tyler (Ryan?!) has a folksy charm that contrasts and adds to his proficiency very well. Tamara exudes a warmth and curiosity that blends perfectly with her aptitude and experience. Behinds the desks, Christy is unendingly helpful to go along with her obvious charm. She has communicated with me, sometimes on weekends, to both find a last minute schedule fit and to helpfully remind me when I may have, in theory at least, forgotten my allotted appointment time :/ And Liliane is always patient with me when I call, sometimes minutes before, to confirm an appointment. Collectively they are a great team. I’m missing a few people but those are the ones I’ve dealt with the most. I can confidently recommend Catalyst for any of your physical therapy needs.

Not only are they incredibly knowledgable and up-to-date on the newest methods, they’re just good people. They genuinely care about their patients and aren’t just there to clock in the hours.

Which left my shoulder partially paralyzed and the majority of my arm paralyzed all the way down to my fingers. To say the least I couldn’t care less about my arm and had decided that if they couldn’t do something with it I was going to ask the doctors to cut it off. dr. Jen and the whole team decided to take the challenge to see how far they could recover my arm and shoulder. At the time of this review I have actually been in therapy for almost 4 months. They’ve asked me to do interview videos to share with others. Not sure if they’ve shared them yet. However I’ve had improvement. I no longer want to cut my arm off or consider it these days. More so focusing on how far I can recover. The number one thing I like the most about this physical therapy is that they treat me like a person not a patient, let me say that again they treat me like a person not a patient. to add to that they’re experienced and professional in everything they do. Their clinic is always clean and calm, friendly. I can’t say enough about this physical therapy clinic, rehab, doctors office whatever you want to label it they’re a catalyst! A little fun fact about some of the ways they use their therapies, their tools and expertise is by personalizing therapy for their patients. It was really cool the other day while I was doing therapy to watch a fella working towards being able to play his favorite sport again leisurely. They want to help get your life back on track and it’s evident in the way they treat you and rehabilitate you.

Experiencia fantástica: I began receiving treatments at Catalyst Physical Therapy in early May of 2022 as an essential follow-up to the spinal decompression treatments I received at my chiropractor's. Dr. Hauskey at Catalyst completed a comprehensive evaluation of my condition and needs and began a specialized program to help me re-strengthen by core with the objective of preventing future back problems. I was able to get treatments 3 times a week to start, and the improvements were immediate. All of the staff at Catalyst are extremely competent and provided various treatments to maximize my progress. Even more noteworthy, everyone there was incredibly pleasant and nice, and the overall friendly treatment environment was a joy. The other patients I interacted with at the facility ranged from teens to folks in their 80's, and all had the same experience and shared my opinion. Dr. Jenn quickly identified the root causes and showed me some simple exercises I can do anytime to reverse the tension patterns. Experiencia fantástica: I made an appointment with Dr. Jenn to consult over pain I was having in my shoulder. She did a very in depth assessment which included a diagnostic ultrasound. Within minutes she was able to pinpoint the source of my pain. That was impressive by itself. She then went on to explain that I could resolve my particular pain by simply doing a specific stretch that required no special equipment or supervision. In other words, she was able to diagnose and identify treatment in the initial interview that actually eliminated the need for me to return for further therapy. How many times has someone told you that? When a doctor is focused on patient results over filling their appointment book then that is the facility for me! We need more doctors with that kind of integrity. You can be certain that I will be back whenever I need physical therapy in the future. After a few sessions with Jennifer, some exercises, and her showing me the proper way to walk (who knew I wasnt walking correctly) I have been feeling great. Experiencia fantástica: Jennifer is truly a magician with her hands. I have been in excruciating pain for a whole year due to a sports injury, and an orthopedist told me I had an inoperable cyst under my knee cap and needed cortisone injections and gel. I refused both till her free consultation. She was able to notice fluid under my knee cap and tensed muscles due to continuous exercise in a wrong position, affecting my hips as well as misaligning my back ever so slightly. After just one session she was able to totally remove the pain from my knee. Her massages have been able to dislodged knots I never knew I had, in order to loosen the muscles overcompensating for the injured knee. She is just unbelievable. She is a fabulous, truly caring individual, whose mission is to get you better at all cost!! I love her to death!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Marvin Hanson Entire staff at catalyst are friendly and courteous. I was diagnosed as having neuropathy three years ago. Recently my primary wanted to confirm diagnosis. Waiting two months for an EMG procedure at BayCare I reached out to DR Jenn who performed the EMG and nerve conduction study the next day. These test led to an MRI that confirmed her diagnosis of compression at L5/S1. After 15 sessions of PT I have learned a lot on how to deal with my problem, which is improving. Experiencia fantástica: I have been having physical therapy for the past 4 years. Have visited almost all the centers located in my town. The best therapist I have ever had is Tyler! He improved my gait and helped me conquer my fears. For example: on and off of curbs,multiple stairs, getting up from the floor and the biggest accomplishment of giving me the courage to leave the cane behind!! Tyler made me believe I can do all things and I can. Tyler got me into the pool, another fear as we all live near water. I needed to make sure that I could save myself if I happened to fall in.
