Experiencia fantástica: Can’t THANK NHC and Staff enough for letting us Have a “family” get together for my father & mother in law’s 66 wedding anniversary in the rec room. It means the world to us as family to have mom/dad/grandma/grandpa together with their offspring. Life is so short and precious, we as a family really want express our gratitude for letting us have this time. Thank you from the Ken M. And Carol M. Family

Experiencia positiva: This is my first, and hopefully last, visit to a skilled nursing facility. But I have been around a number of nursing homes over the years. Here is my honest assessment as both a patient and observer: -The staff seem competent, but the facility seems very short staffed in nearly all positions. This is especially true on weekends and holidays. -The kitchen has a lot of issues. Most of the dishes are edible, but if they have a nutritionist on staff he/she is incompetent. I am an insulin dependent diabetic and my sugars have been higher here than in years at home. The only way to limit my carb intake is to darn near starve. Every meal here is mostly carbs and starches with limited protein. Even then they manage to get carbs involved by breading it or putting it in a sandwich! -The therapy department is good and physically I am improving day. Part of this is because my health is returning and partly because they have me on a twice daily therapy routine. -Other than that, my only issue is rooms with ambulatory patients should have a chair in them. Laying in bed several hours a day is not good for someone who is supposed to be moving. Yes I can go sit in the communal sitting area, but frankly I don’t like spending that much time in close contact with others. Covid and Influenza are still real threats in a close contact area.

Experiencia fantástica: I work here as a CMT. I have done this type of work for over 30 years and I have been very impressed with the staff here. They all work together to make sure the patients are taken care of. I had made the statement in the past that I would never work at a nursing home again. I decided to take a chance and see how it was. I am extremely pleased. The Administrator, the DON and the ADON could not be more helpful in making me feel at home. Every employee that I have worked with have made me feel welcome here. I love working somewhere that I not only feel like they have the best interest of not only the patients but, all of their staff.
