This is the best therapy that I have received since my injury two years At which time I had undergone ABKA. It’s been a very stressful time for me, but the staff at the Sigurd Center has been wonderful. From the time I check in with Candi, to Kirsten as well as all the therapist and the therapy assistants- even Paul- Considering he’s a Clemson fan have been fabulous . Special thanks to my therapist Chelsea Who has been exceptional. When I feel I can’t do something, she Continues to give me positive feedback that things are going well, and I am continuing to improve.The entire staff has been wonderful and I feel I’m receiving the best treatment. Experiencia fantástica: I recently completed 8 months of physical therapy at the Sigurd Center. My intake person and primary physical therapist was Chelsea Breen. From my 1st evaluation and consult, she expressed to me that she would develop a plan for my rehab that she believed would offer me improvement in my physical difficulties that resulted from having spinal surgery. I was put on a vigorous physical therapy routine that she encouraged and pushed. Along the way, I I became familiar with her family and the things that she enjoyed outside of work. She was not only my physical therapist, but also became my nutritionist and friend. Even though I have finished my weekly sessions at Sigurd, I am continuing my strength exercises at a local gym. This was impressed upon me by Chelsea and the other therapists that assisted me. I highly recommend Sigurd for any of your rehab needs, they are the best.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing bunch of therapists! I suffered a life-altering stroke in 2020 that affected my right side. Started off completely wheel chair bound with right arm not participating in anything. Now I am walking around independently plus able to exercise on my own. My right arm/hand is also able to help with my ADLs. My husband, kids, and I are so thankful. Both Occupational and Physical Therapists are superb. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

It’s been almost a decade, and during that time, I’ve been exposed to several other therapy clinics and settings - both as a DPT student, and as a licensed clinician. When I reflect on my time at the Sigurd Center, I can confidently say that it could not have been more impactful. Kirsten and her team create the most supportive, productive, encouraging and inspiring environment for every patient, family member and student that enters their doors. They utilize only the highest level of evidence based clinical skills to ensure the greatest outcomes are achieved and make sure you have a blast along the way. Every physical therapist and occupational therapists I had while at the in patient rehabilitation hospital recommended the Sigurd center as the top neurological physical and occupational therapy facility in the midlands. Staff members are all patient, kind, and really seem to care about their patients overall well being. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of physical therapy or occupational therapy when recovering from birth physical and neurological injuries.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband Drew was a vivacious, athletic, accomplished person until a brain tumor and the surgeries and treatments used to treat it left him with significant neurological deficits. We were referred to the Sigurd Center and found a community of dedicated therapists and staff who helped him adapt to the physical changes to his body. They also taught me and other caretakers how to assist him with daily tasks. We found in the Sigurd staff loving, communicative, and incredibly compassionate practitioners in physical and occupational therapy. Our adult son, who is Physically challenged has received Physical and Occupational therapy following major surgeries. Treatment plans were developed, consistent with his physical stature, abilities, potential and long-term goals. The diverse treatment has greatly increased his mobility, physical, and quality of life. He does not consider therapy as work; it is his time to socialize! After she was released from the hospital she went to The Sigurd Center and the Occupational Therapist who treated her was terrific. She encouraged my wife to follow a personal exercise regimen and helped train her how to do the exercises in between visits to The Sigurd Center. Their treatment facility was spotlessly clean, fresh, and had excellent equipment. We would highly recommend them to anyone who needs physical therapy — they get results.

Experiencia fantástica: The Sigurd Center in West Columbia's is the best physical therapy service in the Columbia Metro area. After a knee replacement, they helped me recover from the surgery and I am now back to my usual self. Great Staff & great physical therapist. I would recommend them to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: An amazing group of true professionals. I started PT for my unstable knee. The team of therapist focused on my goals to strengthen my knee enough to safely carry my grandson up&down stairs. The team helped me get more strength and balance than I thought possible. I moved beyond simple strength and balance to getting ready for a snow skiing trip thanks to my PT family.

Experiencia fantástica: Definitely the best physical therapy center in the area. I have been to over a dozen and this one is head and shoulders above every single one I have been to. I have always received one on one attention not like the others where one therapist is working with three or four clients at the same time. My therapist Kim is awesome I can't say enough great things about how well I have been treated and how much I have improved. Caitlin in the office is super nice and has taken care of every need that I have had with appointment changes and scheduling. Every single person I have come in contact with has been awesome.

And what a life-changing experience it has been! Experiencia fantástica: For those that know what I have been through the last 5+ years with extremely severe knee pain (having to use a walker) and finally getting a new knee, my doctor and the Sigurd Center have been amazing. As a 70+ year-old, I wanted my mobility and independence back.I started therapy 2 days after my operation and went back to work in 3 weeks. It would have been just 2 weeks but we had Thanksgiving break. I now use no walker, no cane, and am walking all over the place and I can ride a bike again!. My husband said he couldn’t keep up with me now. It’s only been 2 1/2 months since the surgery. I have seen the astonishing results they have done with other patients that I would think impossible. Every therapist is caring and really gets to know you. The fact that they are a faith-based is evident in everything they do, and even the shirts they wear. That means a lot to me. They get 10 out of 5 stars in my book. I cannot thank them all enough for giving me myself back.

The individual attention each patient receives from a therapist, as well as the support from assistants is incomparable. Everyone from the office to the outstanding PT’s and OT’s goes above and beyond to serve, help and heal all who enter. They also support one another. The atmosphere is calm and inspiring which promotes healing as much as the therapy sessions do. BEST around!

They work hard to meet all our needs to get back to being the best we can be. You can see major improvements each day from their injuries. When l first went there l was in a wheelchair. They made sure that l got everything l needed to get back on my feet. Today l use a walker. All the aids students and therapist does an excellent job.They encourage you to reach goals and praise you when you reach a goal. The owner is a hard worker loving and caring also. They all have a big heart of gold and love for everyone. It is my second home. They are the best!!!

Experiencia fantástica: The Sigurd Center is a beautiful place- the facility but more importantly the owner and employees. They have treated my Dad with SUCH love and respect. They work hard and are creative to keep it interesting. They just really go above and beyond. They invited my mom to sessions to help understand what he’s learning and to meet his helpers he loves so much. They have customized his goals to what he wants to be able to do at home (yard work, carrying dog food and more!). Our family is forever grateful for this facility and would recommend it for any of your PT and/or OT needs. Their training for LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s is incredible and I believe is a need for anyone with a Parkinson’s diagnosis. Goodness I really can’t say enough. We are so grateful.

Experiencia fantástica: I found The Sigurd Center for Ortho and Neuro Rehab about a year ago after a long spinal fusion. The physical therapists and techs are God send to me. I have special admiration for Kimberly and Morgan who are my primary PT's. The kindness, patience, and professional expertise of ALL their staff is genuine and unmatched in any of the facilities I've used before. They follow doctors' orders and work out plans that are individualized and regularly evaluated for progress and revision. They are always by your side through each session. Never just telling you what to do and walking away! The center is abuzz with chatter, laughter, and celebrations of success, small or large, every day. Most of all it is filled with hope. They turned the hope I had for learning how to use a rebuilt spine properly so that I could function normally without pain into a reality. Now they are working with me on the shoulder I just had to have replaced! I know they will lead me to success with that challenge, too.

This has inevitably led to the need for physical therapy which I have received from numerous facilities in different states over the last 30 years. January 18th, 2019 that all changed for me. I entered the Sigurd Center and under the superior care of Kirsten Thompson and Jennifer Coleman I am recovering through God grace and love. The entire staff work very hard to provide all of the patients with great care and encouragement to aid in our recovery. It takes very caring people to do the work it take in patient recovery and they are all special to me. The Center is a safe and clean environment with temperature checks and everyone wearing masks. Special thanks to Wendy, who gives me all my reminder calls about my appointments. Danielle, Ashley, Chelsey, Baylee, Jessica, Courtney, Kaylynn, Chris, Kim, Kelsey-Ann, Stepanie. Experiencia fantástica: My husband Tim has been receiving ortho and physical therapy from the Sigurd Center as a result of a stroke. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. However, Jennifer Coleman, Tim's occupational therapist, has shown an enormous amount of dedication and encouragement when it comes to Tim's therapy. She is always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to Tim's therapy and overall well being!! We love her and we love the Sigurd Center!!!

Since then, I have had to have continued physical therapy off and on due to pain as well as learning to use a prosthetic leg. Experiencia fantástica: A close friend recommended Sigurd Center to me when I needed extensive PT for a number of problems (acute and chronic). The staff has been VERY helpful in restoring a number of issues I had and over the last 3 years (and continuing). I have worked with almost every therapist and intern. I have been to many other PT centers over the years and none of them measure up to the staff at Sigurd in caring and challenging me to be all I can be (even at age 77). It's a very encouraging place to come to and know you will be helped both physically and mentally with compassion. I wish I could name one therapist over another, but I just can't because every therapist that has worked with me has always given me their very best!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to other PT practices. It is my considered opinion that the practitioners at The Sigurd Center are the best! These PT’s have excellent evaluation skills, know how to relieve pain, and most important to me, actually stay with the patient and chat while making sure they are performing the exercises properly. It’s been my experience at other practices that the PT or PT assistant merely gave me a brief demonstration and then left me by myself while they went off to do paperwork or check their computer or cellphone. In addition, The Center is very accommodating when appointments are scheduled or need to be changed. I have been treated for a variety of orthopedic issues over the past six years and I have made the most progress in the shortest amount of time at The Sigurd Center. Don’t go anywhere else! (And no, I’m not related to anyone affiliated with The Sigurd Center. )
