If you're not ready to take care of a newborn and don't have anyone to ask for help, there's a place where you can take your baby to ensure his or her safety and health. Under the Safe Haven law, you may bring your newborn (up to 28 days old) to any Pennsylvania hospital, including Lancaster Medical Center, to a police officer at a police station, or an emergency services provider at an EMS station.
As long as the baby is unharmed and not a victim of any crime, you will not be in trouble. The baby will be examined by a doctor and provided any medical care needed. The local county children and youth agency will take custody of the baby and find him or her a loving family.

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Used the Lab services here for a couple blood draws. Hands down the BEST phlebotomists I have ever encountered. Clean, quiet and spacious facility, kind and respectful employees, and convenient location. Happy to have this resource here so I can avoid the drive to Dauphin County!
Experiencia fantástica: I didn't have the best experience in the beginning when I got to the ER and with the exception of one doctor I have to say that once I got out of the lobby and actually in a room it was completely different. The care I received more than made up for the problems in the beginning. Nurses and doctors (except for one) are excellent, top notch professionals who went above and beyond to make sure I was ok
Experiencia fantástica: I once came to this hospital with my son in an emergent situation. He had been let out from a hospital and needed medication so we were prompted to take him to the ER to get a script before the medication was able to be filled after the weekend upon arrival to this hospital, they were very courteous to us even made us just sit on the side and send it. You probably won’t need to be checked in. We’ll just have the doctor come and see you and the doctor we waited a little while maybe about 2025 minutes and the doctor was very nice. Came out into the hallway and talked with us and wrote a prescription for us. I myself have been to this hospital on two occasions, and everybody was very nice kind .
