Sabal Palms Health & Rehabilitation

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Sabal Palns to visit my mother in law in rehab. I was greeted right away as I entered the building. Staff was very nice. The place was very clean and the atmosphere was uplifting. Staff seemed very attentive and caring. I was very impressed with the communication from staff to family about concerns or just being updated. We made the right choice to put my mother in law in this facility. The only complaint would be the food. Choices are poor and the food does not look or taste appetizing which is an issue as my mother in law would not eat and lost weight. A lot of times it comes in cold or maybe like warm. Doesnt even look good enough to eat. We have to keep bringing in her food.

Experiencia positiva: My mom spent a couple weeks at Sabal Palms after a hard fall at home, the primary reason being physical and occupational therapy. She was VERY happy with the rehabilitation department as they helped increase her confidence and knowledge when it comes to mobility and we're very happy with that staff. There were some excellent nurses and patient care techs (mom felt night shift was a little less attentive but no one was "nasty" to her) and the facility itself was clean with plenty of light. There were lots of daily activities for those so inclined. We're satisfied with our experience and grateful for mom's care. Incidentally, she made a lasting friend in her roommate and they're hoping to continue as friends into the future! The grounds and gardens are lovely as well.

Experiencia fantástica: The best facility hands down. Nurses are kind and the facility has full time management to care for family members. Everyone working is doing a wonderful job to keep your family member comfortable.

Experiencia positiva: Most of the staff is 5 star. Not happy with the lack of communication from the "social worker" about my dad's updates but some of the nurses have been keeping me updated. My dad's left arm doesn't work well and today he asked the person on the morning shift to adjust the bed tray for him and he was told she is not his maid and went and got the nurse supervisor to explain what her duties are, wow.

Experiencia positiva: Visited our good friend and spent a couple of hours outside. The area is beautiful but there was a broken chair that should be fixed or replaced. Since this was our first visit the sign-in was easy to get through. The attendant at the front desk was very helpful. The halls were very clean and the rooms were comfortable.There were some comments concerning the meals and availability of the menu. All-in-all residents seemed satisfied.
