Medical City Lewisville

Experiencia fantástica: I've had numerous experiences taking friends and family to this hospital, both for ER and outpatient/day surgery care. The staff have always been exceptionally friendly and caring, many with outgoing personalities that make you feel comfortable in what would otherwise be a stressful situation. Most recently, nurse Jeannine in endoscopy ushered us through what was the best colonoscopy experience I've ever witnessed. (I wasn't the patient.) She was funny, familiar, but professional. She actually narrated something that I wish other nurses and doctors have said to me and friends/family in past colonoscopies. "You're gonna hear a lot of scary words in the next hour. Biopsy. Sending off for analysis. Pre-cancerous. None of this should scare you, these are routine words for colonoscopies. Pre-cancerous doesn't mean 'go to church and pray.' It means we got it out before the time that you would need to worry." Having had a number of horrific experiences at larger hospitals in Dallas myself, like UTSW and Baylor, I very much appreciate the smaller, less chaotic environment here at Medical City, and how friendly everyone seems to be.

Experiencia positiva: Tanya from L&D postpartum was absolutely amazing. Everyone on that floor is pretty amazing with the exception of Jana the charge nurse. I'm not even sure how she got that title, but she made my last day and a half a nightmare to the point that I ended up leaving early. She's extremely rude, unprofessional, has no compassion, and even sent John (the freaking maintenance guy) in my room three times while I was either undressed or in the shower about my small door decorations. Not one time did she actually ask how I was doing or come to my room for something relevant to the reason I was actually there. The third floor would be so much better without her presence. No new mama deserves the kind of treatment she gives.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently gave birth to my son at Medical City Lewisville. The experience exceeded my expectations!! Five starts are not enough to rate the staff and the hospital. The nurses are amazing. They treated me and my family with so much respect. They were always attentive and made me feel safe and calm. All the staff was wonderful but I want to shout out Nurse Sui! Nurse Sui does her job with passion and love. She was there for me during labor but it didn't feel like she was just working her shift, she was super sweet and very professional, she was monitoring me and the baby frequently, she was making sure I was comfortable, she explained me everything with patience and step by step, and much more. There are no words to express my gratitude to Nurse Sui. My delivery experience was beautiful and amazing because of her!! Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: Just had my baby boy and I can’t thank the nurses at labor and delivery and postpartum floor enough! All very sweet, beautiful, and just made my stay there so welcoming! Especially the lactation consultants so patient and understanding. Loved Paula so much. Very blessed to be there and taken care of by those beautiful ladies. If we decide to have another one we will definitely be back!
