The certified spinal technicians at East Bay Spine And Disc Institute in Livermore invite you to try our highly effective spinal rehab program for treating disc injuries.

Our trusted team at East Bay Spine And Disc Institute have helped many patients find relief and recover from various back and disc injuries through our unique spinal rehab program. This non-surgical spinal treatment program involves a combination of two very effective therapies for pain relief and recovery, Spinal Decompression Therapy and Laser Therapy.

Laser Therapy is first used during treatment to reduce inflammation and increase blood flow to the tissues surrounding the injury, this will help stimulate and speed up the healing process. Laser Therapy is then followed by Spinal Decompression Therapy.

Spinal Decompression Therapy is non-surgical, non-invasive, drug-free treatment technique that treats patients suffering from chronic back and neck pain. The device used for this treatment provides calculated, computerized adjustments to create space between spinal vertebrae. Spinal Decompression Therapy helps reduce the pressure from the spine that is causing pain and discomfort.

No. Most patients experience a reduction in pain after Spinal Decompression Therapy. With our Spinal Decompression Therapy device, each patient has the option to stop the treatment at any time by simply pushing a button.

Typically, patients experience improvement with just a few appointments or after the first week, but everybody is different. Some patients with severe chronic back pain have found quick relief after the first or second treatments. It is important to remember that results from Spinal Decompression Therapy therapy may vary depending on the severity of your condition.

No. Spinal Decompression Therapy the evolution of Traction. In other words, it is the next step. The biggest difference between the two is the “Vacuum Effect” that occurs from Spinal Decompression Therapy, which does not happen with Traction Therapy. In fact, traction therapy may tug on the body in a way that causes the muscles to respond and contract. This response will increase the amount of pressure to the vertebral disc that is affected and, ultimately, create more pain. The Vacuum Effect is so important because it is the negative pressure created through Spinal Decompression Therapy that allows nutrients and oxygen to repopulate the disc area and begin the healing process.

Insurance will normally cover part of your Spinal Decompression Therapy. However, each insurance plan is different, and we will get in touch with your insurance carrier to obtain a clear idea of the amount they will cover during your initial consultation.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to chiropractors for over 40 years for treatment of a chronic spine problem. The care that I've been getting for the last 2 years from East Bay Spine and Disc is the best I've ever had. All of the doctors are outstanding and the front office staff is great!

Experiencia fantástica: My many thanks to the doctors and support staff at the East Bay Spine and Disc Institute! I am now eight months into my spinal decompression treatments and have regained so much of my life. I am no longer in pain and have regained sensation in my foot. Everyday things become easier every day and that’s a great thing to be able to say since I have four herniated lumbar discs! The doctors and staff at the facility are friendly and knowledgeable and I am confident in their abilities. The facility is clean and well maintained. This is the place to come to if you need help with your discs!

Experiencia fantástica: I recommend any athlete to come to East Bay Spine and Disc Institute. I was an acrobat for over 30 years with the Moscow circus. I have a lot of disc issues that developed from stacking up to 3 people on my shoulders. In the past, I would never let anyone touch my back, but coming to get Chiropractic and Spinal Decompression, I've never felt better. I love the fact that many Doctors work here and specialize in many different things. Their teamwork is always great. Special thank you for the front desk support. Their always take care of me if I need to reschedule.

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t sing enough praise about this beautiful practice. Dr. Khoury and his staff are miracle workers in the greatest sense of the term! Before I started seeing Dr. Khoury, my leg and hip were in such pain that life was a nightmare. I couldn’t walk without a cane. The top of my leg bone was outside of my hip socket, causing so much friction - bone against bone. My family would sometimes hear me crying in the night because I could hardly sleep due to the excruciating pain in my leg. Traditional doctors told me I needed a hip replacement but, even though I would’ve done anything to get rid of the pain, I wanted to see if there was another alternative to operation. I found Dr. Khoury and began decompression treatment on May 11. Within three visits, my pain decreased dramatically and my range of motion in my hip increased. I was capable of walking almost normally and without a cane. Those facts alone have been satisfying enough but I’m not even done with the treatment yet. X-rays now show that my leg has improved considerably and I may not need the hip replacement at all. On top of that, the decompression therapy itself is not only painless, but it feels good. While my activity has had to decrease for the sake of maximizing the effectiveness of the treatment, it’s so worth it. I’m grateful for Dr. Khoury and his staff's expertise, especially Dr. Sedjhi, who has been helping me through most of the treatment. Dr. Sedjhi is a magician! I can’t believe how much better I feel, physically and emotionally. For anyone considering getting a hip replacement, I recommend this alternative wholeheartedly. It’s a life-changer!
