Adventist Health Lodi Memorial offers comprehensive wound care including hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help your wounds heal quickly and safely.

Every wound has its unique set of circumstances. Adventist Health Lodi Memorial West Wound Care is equipped and staffed to address them all, with most treatments covered by Medicare/Medicaid, HMOs and other private insurance plans. We are experts at caring for people whose open wounds have resisted traditional treatment with a success rate of more than 85 percent healed in 12 to 16 weeks.

Our wound care facility is staffed with a unique team of doctors, nurses and therapists all dedicated to the healing of chronic wounds. We also have an arsenal of the most current wound healing products and therapies available today. With our experts, products and cutting-edge therapies, we can tailor an approach unique to your needs, providing everything necessary to ensure your wound heals.

At your first appointment, our team will conduct a thorough assessment to evaluate your wound and any underlying conditions. This may include a detailed interview regarding your health, vascular testing, etc.

We will then develop a treatment program specifically for you that we will meticulously monitor and adjust according to your needs as your wound heals. We will remain in contact with your primary and/or referring provider throughout your wound-healing journey.

Much of the success of your treatment depends on you. We’ll count on you to follow your treatment protocol carefully and watch your progress closely. You’ll learn about caring for your wound at home, including how to change dressings and how to protect yourself from further injuries. Plus, we will always be here to answer any questions and give you the support you need to heal.

Breathing 100 percent oxygen at increased atmospheric pressure is a painless, proven way to help the body heal. Hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) chambers work by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen at higher-than-normal atmospheric pressure in sessions, or dives, that last approximately two hours. This increases the amount of oxygen in the patient's blood, allowing red blood cells to pass more easily through the plasma into the wounds to heal them from the inside out.

Introduced in the mid-'60s, HBO chambers have evolved to treat patients suffering from diabetic ulcers; late effects of radiation; skin, muscle, tendon and bone infections; compromised skin grafts and flaps; crush injuries; and so much more.

Weighing more than one ton each, the HBO chambers resemble a reclining bed encased in a clear acrylic shell nearly a yard in diameter. Patients can listen to music or watch movies on televisions mounted above the chamber while remaining in constant contact with those outside the chamber through an intercom and private handset. The only physical sensation resulting from the treatment is a slight pressure on the eardrum, such as that felt when a plane lands, because the air in the chamber is compressed.

Experiencia positiva: It gets crazy busy in this office and wait times can be long. The staff have addressed this issue on a white board in waiting room to assure us that all will be taken care of. Dr Simeon is kind and handles the masses smoothly and he is a pro.

Experiencia fantástica: These guys are fantastic! The physicians are excellent and the staff is the BEST! I have some foot wounds. One was from a previous injury and the other was from surgery. These guys are really good...which causes a bit of a wait to see them, but it is worth it!
