Over the past two decades, SHR has grown into a comprehensive health care system in East Texas, providing affordable care for the whole family. With clinics in Longview, Tyler, Paris and Texarkana, as well as a fleet of mobile units to serve more rural areas, SHR provides health care to families in all 23 East Texas counties and one county in South West Arkansas. Our services include adult and pediatric primary care, adult and pediatric dental care, womenâs health, immunizations and vaccinations, STD and HIV/AIDS screening and treatment, as well as mental health services and substance abuse treatment.

SHR is proud to bring quality health care to all 23 counties of East Texas and one county in South West Arkansas. We have convenient locations in Longview, Tyler, Paris, Jacksonville, and Texarkana TX, and AR, as well as mobile clinics that serve the rural areas of East Texas and South West Arkansas.Whatever health care needs you have, SHR has friendly doctors and medical providers nearby to serve you.

Special Health Resources began as AIDS Inc, the community response to the AIDS epidemic late 80s. Initially, AIDS Inc provided social support to HIV positive individuals and their families, but soon, the organization assumed a leading role in providing medical care, emergency assistance and case management and other supportive services to HIV positive individuals across 23 counties of northeast Texas and one county in South West Arkansas. The original name was changed to Special Health Resources to reflect its broadened mission and services.

Experiencia positiva: I'm disappointed that doctors don't get the message that you leave with telephone operators. Doctors cannot retrieve their voice mail and this is discouraging. I realize a new contact but too many bugs.

Experiencia positiva: I went from Quick MD to these guys. I don't have to pay anything out of pocket except or my script. They are crowded but if you really need help getting off opioids. I would greatly recommend, talk to drug counselor William Porter. The old timer is cool and doesn't judge you, makes you comfortable, and explains everything in great detail. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have prob made the jump over. Thanks Mr Porter .

Experiencia positiva: The Doctor and her practitioners and nurses are AMAZING! However the office staff is unorganized and they cannot keep case managers. The front receptionist area is the worst, they can't keep workers and the new ones always mess up something;-(

Experiencia fantástica: Went here for therapy 3 years ago and Maria was my therapist, stopped going to sessions for a month or so and when I came back she was gone. I connected with Maria and she was honestly the sweetest, most caring person.. I hope where ever she is now she’s Prospering. Also Tracey is really kind too!
