Mercy Health - Oak Point Primary and Specialty Care

Experiencia fantástica: The complete opposite of the main Mercy Hospital. Everyone was helpful and friendly (especially the lady with little paper cranes on her computer) and helped me figure out an issue with my insurance id number. Dr. Carissimi may not be a very talkative person, but he listens and is straight forward and to the point.

Experiencia fantástica: I wanted to put into words my respect and appreciation for Dr.Thomas (Robert Thomas). His mental health first approach to treatment and his impeccable humility are both empowering. He goes out of his way to foster understanding in his patients. He works with his patients to produce the most effective and safest treatment options. In my case, Dr.Thomas has done wonderful work in helping me address issues with weight, blood pressure and chronic anxiety. I was able to have meaningful and understandable conversations about my medications with Dr.Thomas. Because of this, I have been able to greatly improve my personal health and quality of life. Dr.Thomas treats causes rather than symptoms. No cookie cutter "here's a pill, go home" scripts here. Dr.Thomas is careful and caring - opting to develop one highly customized solution to several problems, rather than "medicating the patient away", as some other doctors do. I highly recommend Dr.Thomas and his staff.

Experiencia positiva: Outstanding care with my Primary Care Physician and regularly scheduled appointments. Everyone is always great. However, took my daughter (4yo) there on a weekday for walk-in care (hr PCP was unavailable) and we waited more than an hour. We watched several patients come & go in the meantime. I inquired about the wait twice. The second time they said someone was calling us back “right now. They’re waiting for you,” but that was false. We went back to the magic door and waited another 3 minutes with no one coming out. I had taken her in for a suspected UTI and asked her to try to hold her pee for the dr., and we waited so long she had an accident. We left without ever being seen. I would never recommend this location for walk-in services.
