Experiencia fantástica: My mom’s stay was much shorter than we expected, God had different plans. Her 5 days here was nothing but beautiful. They worked with hospice beautifully. All the staff are so kind. The compassion they showed my mom, as well as my dad & all of us kids is greatly appreciated! Highly recommend this facility for your loved one.

Experiencia positiva: They are rebranding as “Harvest Crossing Post Acute” due to being under new management. Being under new management, they have a lot of new personal, but being new they still have some growing pains. Attentiveness of nursing personal varied. When I first came in from the hospital, staff was really on it for my medical and care needs. As the weeks went on, care started to vary depending on what shift it was. There were quiet a few instances where the night and day crews were not on the same page. If a day crew member said they would check on my bandage on my back tubing or change my briefs, if it was before the evening crew clocked in, the night crew would have no idea that I was not helped yet. This wasn’t always the case and I get accidents happen, but it happened enough for me to bring it up here. The language barrier for a couple of the CNAs did make it difficult on occasion to discuss needs. On the other hand, there were several personal that were very helpful to me and my family. Dallas (CNA for weighing), Betsie (RN), Joanna (RN), Elaine (PT), and Leslie (SP) are just a few of the friendliest, caring RNs and therapist you’ll meet at Harvest Acute. Despite the confusion of communication and staffing issues, these were some of the people that really made my stay easier during my rehab. The building is older, but they have been making adjustments to living arrangements weekly. New TVs were being installed in each room, as well as new buttons to call nurses. They definitely should tint the glass doors and update the locks of rooms that have sliding doors instead of windows. Hot summer days made it to where heavy curtains couldn’t keep the heat out if you were sitting in the bed near it. More resident fans would be a good idea too. My family had to bring one from home for me until they had room in a cooler area. Empty beds were also left out in the hallway for several days at a time near the end of my stay, which made it hard for people to get around. It was a little weird… Some of the residents I have meet definitely don’t make staff’s job easier. I had a neighbor who was hard of hearing, so she would leave the volume of her tv on high most of the night. When the nurses try to turn it off or lower the volume, the neighbor would be VERY disrespectful to them. That said, the staff and social service team would accommodate to their best ability, and I am thankful for that. Overall, this place seems to have their heart in the right place, but there is still room for growth for general staff attentiveness and facility upkeep.

Experiencia fantástica: Has new ownership. The staff are genuinely caring for the residents. Administration lends a listening ear to your concerns and produces actions for a positive result.
