Suminder grew up in Bellingham, WA and got his bachelor's degree in psychology from Western Washington University. He then got his Masters in Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He is a new graduate but has always been interested in the hand therapy setting because of his own wrist injury in childhood and is working towards becoming a Certified Hand Therapist. He enjoys exploring the PNW, traveling to different countries, and playing pickleball in his spare time.

Emily is a Physical Therapist Assistant with experience in acute care, critical care, skilled nursing, trauma and orthopedics, and outpatients. After obtaining her Associate degree through PIMA Medical Institute in 2017, Emily returned to her studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Science for the Physical Therapist Assistant in 2022. She always prioritizes patient safety and communication. In order to continuously provide up-to-date, patient-centered care, Emily incorporates evidence-based research into her treatments. During COVID, Emily spent 6 weeks working in the COVID ICU where she assisted the nursing staff in caring for critically ill patients. When she is not working, Emily enjoys travelling, playing volleyball, searching for the next best specialty coffee shop or foodie restaurant, and spending time with her husband and family.

Summer grew up in Snohomish, WA playing softball, volleyball and basketball until she found her favorite sport in rowing. She rowed for Everett Rowing Association all through high school. After high school Summer joined the United States Air Force working with fighter pilots and packing parachutes. After 6 years in the military traveling the world and serving in Afghanistan, she returned to WA and started her career in physical therapy. She has spent time in outpatient PT clinics as well as doing home health. She is also married with three children, a dog and a cat. They are huge Mariners fans and her hobby is baking with her kids.

Dr. Parsons’s expertise lies in the musculoskeletal system, movement, and sports-related injury. He continually looks for ways to further his education and remain up-to-date with current research. He was accepted into the prestigious fellowship program, where he’ll advance his education in specialty and subspecialty areas.

When not in the clinic, you can find Dr. Parsons hitting the gym, playing flag football, brewing beer, or spending quality time with his wife and English Bulldog.

As Clinical Director, he strives to make a positive impact in the community of Sultan and have a more significant presence in Sky Valley. Be on the lookout for Dr. Parsons and the Summit Physical Therapy clinic of the Sultan team at differing events throughout the area. They’re growing and cannot wait to meet you!

David is our newest hand therapist at Summit Rehabilitation-Lake Stevens. He is originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, and has been a hand therapist since 2005.  David completed his clinical internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, after graduating with a Master’s of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University, and a Bachelor’s from the University of Texas at Austin.  He also earned the distinction of Certified Hand Therapist from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.  He has worked as a hand therapist in Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, and recently in Silverdale/Kitsap, WA.  David retired from the US Army after 22 years of service, and settled in Lake Stevens, WA with his wife and children. He really enjoys the Pacific Northwest, and all it has to offer. When he is not at work, David is involved in outdoor activities with his sons.

Lydia graduated in 2019 from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Business in the Liberal Arts. While attending school, Lydia also played Division 1 College Ice Hockey, a sport she has played since she was 5 years old. Her upbringing around sports, health, and fitness led her to her interest in becoming a Physical Therapist. She attended Arcadia University in Glenside, PA and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in October of 2022. As a Mukilteo native and a new graduate, Lydia is happy to be back home in the PNW and excited to be treating a wide range of patient populations while she decides areas that she would like to further her education and expertise in. When not in the clinic, Lydia enjoys spending time outside, exercising, traveling, and playing/coaching hockey.

Tristan grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and there found a love of sports and activity. He attributed some of his early interest in the medical field to his grandma, a nurse, who helped raise him, and played a part in healing various childhood injuries and illness. In 2010, he moved to Marysville, where he currently resides. He graduated in 2019 from Western Washington University with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology and Psychology minor. Tristan began working for Summit Rehabilitation in 2018 as an aide and patient service representative at various locations during summer and winter breaks and full time after graduation. By 2022, he graduated again this time from the PTA program at Whatcom Community College.

Although he has a few special interests, Tristan considers himself a jack of all trades, as he is able to reflect on a variety of past working and volunteering experiences in hospital, skilled nursing, aquatic, scholastic, and outpatient settings. Tristan receives gratification when helping people reach their goals, he is both excited and honored to be a part of your healing journey in PT. Tristan takes pride in facilitating an emphasis for his patients to feel heard and empowered to take an active role in their rehab in whatever stage they are in.

When he is not working you can find him attending sports events, meeting with his small group at church, playing games with friends, and traveling or watching movies with his family. He is currently learning to play hockey.

I just love Summit Rehab in Lake Stevens! I have been a patient here over 2 years for multiple physical issues. My Physical Therapist’s, Lydia and Tristan, are extremely knowledgeable and experienced, making an all-inclusive plan for my individual needs. There are not enough kind words I can say about Summit in Lake Stevens!! First of all, the staff is amazing! Every person - from the therapists, to the assistants, to the front desk - all kind, sincere people. I spent nearly every week, sometimes twice a week for nearly 6 months here and they gave me all the tools and care I needed to get back to being me. While I hope I never have to go back other than to say hello, if the time comes again, I know they would be my first choice!!

Please wear or bring comfortable athletic/workout clothing to change into. This includes shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers. Your attire should also allow easy access to your injured area for treatment by your physical therapist.

If you are unable to attend an appointment, we require at least 24 hours' notice. However, we do understand than an occasional emergency or illness may arise, in which case you may have to cancel your appointment closer to your scheduled time.

We accept most major insurances including Medicare, Tricare and workers’ compensation plans. Before your initial visit, we will verify in and out of network benefits with your insurance company. The cost of therapy is determined by the benefits of your insurance plan, including the deductible and co-pay, or patient percentage. We are happy to check with your insurance company to determine the terms of your coverage. Payment for patient responsibility is due at the time of service.
