“Thanks for your service. You are an asset to the community. All of the staff is friendly and very professional. This was my 3rd visit – all for different problems – and the staff remembered me.”

Cody moved to WA from Knoxville, TN and began working at NorthSound in early 2015. He earned his DPT from the UT Health Science Center in Memphis in 2013. Part of what drew Cody to the Pacific Northwest was the active lifestyle. He spends his time with his wife, daughter, and dog Zoey. They enjoy walking around Greenlake, camping, playing basketball, snowboarding, and crabbing. After undergoing his own shoulder surgery in high school, Cody found a passion for helping others heal and return to the activities they love.

Jill is originally from the Chicago area and earned a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois in 1988. She became a Board-Certified Hand Therapist in 1994, and has specialized in upper extremity therapy since that time. She has extensive experience in the treatment of complex orthopedic trauma, post operative care, complex regional pain syndrome and burns/wound management. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and enjoys mentoring new therapists entering the field of hand therapy. Jill has been a member of the NorthSound Physical Therapy team since 2018 in our Stanwood Clinic and, as of 2023, also practices at our Snohomish Clinic. In her free time Jill enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband and friends and cheering for the Chicago Cubs.

Kristin Crandall Kristin grew up in Stanwood and received her Undergraduate degree in 2008 from Western Washington University. Kristin then attended the University of Washington where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011. She enjoys playing soccer, hiking, running with her dog Boogie, and attending UW football games.

I love sports and found studying the human body to be fascinating. When I realized I could combine my hobbies with my love for anatomy I was sold and that is why I decided to be a physical therapist.

Becky, originally from Minnesota, joined the NorthSound Physical Therapy family in August of 2002. Since graduating in 1993 with a master’s degree in physical therapy from Andrews University in Michigan, Becky has received specialized training in manual therapy. She is a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP), a technique of joint mobilization effective for many orthopedic conditions. Becky also has special interest and training in treating patients with vertigo and TMJ disorders. In 2013 Becky received a clinical doctorate degree through A.T. Still University in Arizona. Becky is an APTA certified clinical instructor and finds it rewarding to help both PT and PTA students prepare for their careers. In her spare time, Becky loves spending time with her husband and two children, kayaking, skiing, hiking, and outdoor photography.

Sheila VonBergen was born in Loma Linda, CA and grew up in Eastern Washington. During those years, she was actively involved in team sports and gymnastics, competing at the state level and later working as a gymnastics and aerobics instructor for many years. Sheila attended Walla Walla University, where she met her husband Scott before pursuing a Master of Physical Therapy degree at Loma Linda University.

After earning her MPT degree in 1993, Sheila worked as a physical therapist in both in- and out-patient settings for Kaiser Permanente in Riverside, California, where she received a distinguished award for Outstanding Service. From 1996 to 2004 Sheila’s PT experience encompassed outpatient orthopedics, sports and active rehabilitation and home health physical therapy. She was also a regular guest lecturer for the SDA Wellness Center and served on the Guam National Olympic Committee. In 2003 she earned an MBA from the University of Guam.

Sheila has enjoyed working with patients and staff at NorthSound Physical Therapy since 2006. She is devoted to her family and local church, and actively pursues experiences in hiking, biking, snow boarding, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, outdoor photography, and travel. Because good health is her passion, Sheila endeavors to provide her patients with a high quality of care that reflects a personal commitment to wellness.

Karl and his wife Heidi both grew up in Stanwood, met as high school sweethearts and recently celebrated 33 years of marriage. They have 3 children, Henry, Gus, and Sigrid. Henry is living and working in Santa Barbara, California, after playing baseball and completing his undergraduate degree from Westmont College. He was recently engaged and plans to get married in the Summer of 2023. Gus graduated from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington in Seattle in June 2021 and has been working in the administrative offices of NorthSound Physical Therapy in Stanwood since graduating. He remains busy outside of work with a variety of activities including guitar playing, working out and gaming. Sigrid is attending graduate physical therapy school at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, after graduating from Eastern Washington University in June, 2021. She travels home several times a year, which makes the family dog, Mimi, very happy!

“I thoroughly enjoy my job as a physical therapist, and I have been fortunate to be involved with such a great group of people over the years. I enjoy cultivating long term patient and physician relationships, and I continue to appreciate and respect the important role that physical therapy plays in the recovery from injury or illness.”

I chose to become a physical therapy assistant because I love working with people in a helping/healing environment.  In the past, I suffered from a traumatic knee injury that aided in my compassion/understanding for those who are undergoing rehabilitation.  Additionally, I am an avid supporter of preventative medicine and aspire to further my education/training in this direction.  Other interests include snowboarding, surfing, travel, golf, hiking, biking, and caring for animals.

I’m a Washington native and received my Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from Lake Washington Insititute of Technology in 2012. I have experience in hand therapy and pediatrics. My primary goal is to assist patients in achieving their optimal level of well being so they can engage fully in what is meaningful to them. I joined the Northsound team in 2023. Outside of work I enjoy gardening and cooking.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my left hip replaced on 18 Sept 23. I have been going to NorthSound Physical Therapy two days a week. They are very good at getting me up and walking. I'm not there yet, but working on it. when I started, I could nearly lift my left foot 2 inches above the ground and could not left my left leg from the hip at all. Now I am lifting my left foot about 2 ft and my left leg goes almost all of the way up, with lots of work! Thanks for all of your help!
